The Krizmanic Family B&B - Plitvice Lakes  

Great location close to entrance 1 of the park. Well laid out rooms.

Slightly unpleasant smell...think it might be the type of cleaning product used...

The location of The Krizmanic Family B&B is perfect. It is on a very beautiful and quiet place and just 5 minutes walk from the entrance 1 of the lakes (and you do not need to walk on the main road because there is a shortcut). The hostess is very kind and helpful. The apartments are very clean and well equipped. We will definitely choose it again if we visit the lakes one more time.

- the distance from bus station to the house is a bit far - the wifi connection keeps disconnecting

location is unbeatable, 5-10 minute walk to the park entrance. House is modern and exceptionally clean, very comfortable. Breakfast was ample and had good variety, what we'd call a 'heavy continental' style.

Big and cozy room, nice breakfast and close to the entrace number 1 from Plitvice National Park.

Cold reception, but this doesn't disqualifie the B&B. It was a nice experience!

The apartment is in a beautiful village just a couple minute walk to entrance 1. The apartment is well presented and the shower is wonderful. The host is very helpful and friendly. I wish I would have stayed there longer. We definitely return if I visit there again.

The location is fantastic- just a short walk to Entrance 1 which is why we booked this accomidation. We had booked the largest suite (kichenette, livingroom, bedroom and bathroom) because that was the only one available and werent dissapointed! The Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Plenty of options for all. No complaints.

The proprietor was very 'matter-the-fact', no warm fuzzy feelings, no chit-chat. In retrospect, totally fine with us but just different vibe then previous 'B&Bs' we've stayed at is all. Oh and in 'massage shower' the hot is the cold and cold is hot- took forever to get hot water until realized had to change it all the way to cold.

Krizmanic is a very comfortable, modern B&B, with a lot of character. The location is great - very close to the entrance of Plitvice Lakes. The manager is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Plus, the lakes are just wonderful. We fully recommend a stay here.

Great hospitality, super clean, wonderful room and inclusions, quiet, off the road, super close to national park ... all in all a grand stay!

The apartment is located near the entrance of Station 1 of the Lake. There is a shortcut to the Lake which take less than 10 mins if you know the way: once get off from the bus-stop (from Zagreb), cross the road and walk to the sign "Parking Payment", continue through the parking area always on the left side that you will cross the wood, then you will see a red colored bar, cross the bar to opposite small road and turn right, this will lead you to the village of Ratovica. The apartment is very clean, new, comfortable and spacious, breakfast is simple but adequate. The hostess is nice.

Great spot to stay and be able to walk to Plitvice Park! No need to pay for parking. Clean apartment with a great memory foam mattress...great nights sleep. The usual european breakfast with meat and cheese, breads, spreads, and plentiful coffee. Would recommend for its location alone but we had a cute balcony with flowers galore. Sat outside in the evening and enjoyed a glass of wine. I would definitely go back to this place.

The family that hosts the bed and breakfast is very nice and helpful. The room was clean, big, and had a small kitchen for making our own food. Also, the neighborhood and house were adorable. If you're in the mood to hike a little bit (we were), this place is great.

The location is within walking distance of Entrance 1 of the lakes, but there isn't much at Entrance 1. In early October of 2012, there was no restaurant (closed for renovation), just a small cafe and a small convenience store. I'd recommend having a car so that you can easily drive to Entrance 2 so you can eat at quality restaurants and quickly drive there (about 2 miles away). If you do take a bus, make sure that you ask to stop at Rastovaca, which is at Entrance 1. The bus driver dropped us off only at Entrance 2, and we hitchhiked to Entrance 1. There was satellite TV, but only like 4 channels, 1 in English (sometimes). And it had random series like McGyver, Malcolm in the Middle, and Columbo. So not the best if you plan on staying in.

I loved everything about The Krizmanic Family B&B - Plitvice Lakes, from the warm welcome, the kind and efficient information provided by the young couple that take care of every single detail, to the wide, beautiful, clean and comfortable suite and the excellent breakfast. I recommend this B&B to anybody interested in visiting the wonderful Plitvice Lakes.

The only thing I regretted was to leave !

Walking distance to plitvice National Park entrance one.

Satellite tv did not have English speaking news channel. A short drive ~20km to restaurant.

Great location. Just a short walk to the Park. Room was fairly large. Very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Our hostess had breakfast prepared early to allow our very early departure. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

Excellent location. Very big rooms for the price - clean and with good facilities. Nice breakfast is very good value included with the room. Very close to the entrance to Plitvice national park (7 minute walk).

Ivanna was quite friendly and accommodating. Her little son Ivanno was equally charming and returned our passports ;) the apartment with terrace is gorgeous with a Swiss alps feeling to it and is just minutes away from the entrance to Plitvičke Lakes -- and you save money because you can park at the house rather than pay parking fee. The best part is of course the lakes, easily the best 110kn we spent.

Excellent host and facilities

We only stayed one night, but we found our apartment to be very clean, comfortable with warm hospitality. Would highly recommend it, especially if you are hiking at Plivice Lakes.
