there was construction going on right near the room....like they were expanding the over all complex...and they started sawing trees at like 730 in the morning, and in general...it was loud constrcution each morning..the hotel could have put us in a better room !!! Since we wanted to get up early anyway... |

Relaxing atmosphere, reasonable buffet breakfast and peaceful surroundings. Not this hotel in particular, but it looks from my web search that all hotels in the Dubrovnik area are relatively expensive. |

For our 2 girls, the proximity to the Swim Pool 'complex' was very important. We didn't get to try the Spa Wellness centre because we didn't book in time. Verdana on the Hospitality desk was especially helpful. |

The staff were friendly and at least tried to be helpful. The hotel was overbooked. We had reserved a non-smoking second floor balcony room with a view and were given a first floor smoking room. We then moved to a non-smoking room on the basement level. We arrived late, after 11pm, and no restaurant or cafe food was available anywhere within walking distance. The furniture was old and reminiscent of Croatia's communist past. |

Good breakfast; close to 'copacobana beach' at 5-10 mins walk; great sunset!!! It's not close to the old center, but busses run frequently (every 10-15 mins) and it takes 15 mins; staff is hulpfull but not very friendly; we've got a room at the frontsite of the hotel from where we the whole day and night could listen to a engine or machine from insite the hotel which is turning off en on (with a big 'boom') every couple of minutes, very disturbing! |

Swimming pool was very nice, staff that worked near swimming pool were very helpful, beaches were close to hotel (just 5-10 mins walk), market and resturaunts were nearby and enclosed for shopping. Some staff were not helpful and not friendly,There is also a large construction site next door (right by the pool) and was very, very noisy. |

Room was well appointed and seemed very clean Front desk stall not customer oriented, for example when I asked for additional pillows, due to doctors orders, the lady at the front desk resisted my request until I had to explain why, I told her "its called service" please fulfill my request!!!! I have visited paris, london, nice, madrid and barcelona and not one of the other hotels gave me grief about additional pillows, room was too warm |

The hotel was always spotlessly clean and the breakfast buffet was pretty good. It is handily placed for buses to the Old Town (c. 20 minute journey, depart every 15 mins or so) or it's a half hour walk to Lapad. The reception staff seemed somewhat harrassed, the hotel isn't exactly pretty (something of an NHS hospital vibe on the inside) and don't expect a "seaview" room - the hotel is not by the sea, it's a 15 minute walk. There is also a large construction site next door (right by the pool - not very relaxing). |
