We were sold by the official pictures showing a tranquil, stylish and organised looking pool, set in front of a beautiful beach. In reality that couldn't be further from the truth. The pool area is swamped with children, their caring mothers and papas, and all sorts of inflatables. Staff running around but doing not much at all. It was total chaos. Much like a busy intenational airport lounge, on the beach. You get given electronic bracelets to pay for stuff, which just ads to the institutional feel of this place.
We had a new-style apartment (next to more knackared looking older ones), which was perfectly functional but void of any character or style. The apartment was like Centre Parcs but in Croatia.
Staff, to be fair, at reception they were very friendly and understanding of our choice to cut our stay short, no penalties charged. Staff in the breakfast area have to learn how to smile.
There is much to like about this property if you are the right target group, i.e. a family with lots of children. It's got pools, beach, restaurants, activities, etc to cater for all your practical needs.
if you're like us, a young (ish) couple on a road trip through Europe looking for local charm and chatacter, then there is very very little to like about this place.
