Villa Popovic  

Our host, Anna, was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Although our stay was short (only 2 nights) Anna helped us with advice on how to get the most out of our time on Hvar and was prepared to organise a car trip of the island for us (which we decided against - preferring to spend our time in town and on the beach). The apartment is very spacious with two bedrooms two bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen (with drip coffee maker) ample towels (including beach towels) and a large living/dining area with a new flat screen TV.(which we didn't have time to watch). The local supermarket 5 minutes walk away is very convenient. Access to town is easy - the path down the hill and along the coast takes about 20 minutes and along the road (following the signs to the centre) takes about 15 minutes down and 20 minutes back up the hill home. With luggage, the best option is to take a taxi.(leaves from near the bus station). The balcony at the front of the house with comfortable outdoor furniture is a great to sit and watch the sun set. over the nearby islands.

The location was great, being in a quiet part of town, and the unit was comfortable and clean. The manager/owner Anna was extremely helpful. The unit had quite a good view.

Could be better value for money.

Ana the owner was lovely and very friendly and helpful booking hire cars and taxis. Apartment had a wasing machine which was great to be able to catch up on laundry. The apartment was disappointing because the property next door was extending which spoiltthe view from the terrace but having said that there still was a sea view. Supermarket 5 mins walk and beach about 10 downhill. Longer to get back up. Lovely old town which was about 20 min walk. Would stay again but in top floor apartment.

Anna was the perfect hostess and helped us find great and economical transport as well as restaurants and side trips.

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Popovic and would definitely go back. The apartment was nice and spacious with a beautiful view of the islands. Rooms were spacious and clean, and air condition worked properly. Villa Popovic is located in quiet area, just 5min walk to the closest beach and 15min to the city center. A little market is just down the street. Everything worked perfectly. Ana and her family were a great hosts and they provide us good advices on what to do. We would thoroughly recommend this place to everyone looking for the place to stay in Hvar town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Popovic and would definitely go back. I would agree with every comment on here about Ana and her family. They can not do enough for you. We had a couple of minor issues - the toilet was broken when we first arrived - but it was fixed within the day. The location is good and very handy for Hula Hula beach bar. Would recommend to anyone looking for good value, clean accommodation within 10 minutes walk of Hvar. And the air conditioning is a god send in July!

Small issue of broken toilet - which was fixed quickly. We did struggle to get hot water at certain times of day but in Hvar heat not really an issue!

The steps leading up from the beach and the town centre - 150 steps. The showerhead was very ineffectual.

Location très bien tenue avec une vue superbe au calme. Bon accueil d'Anna qui est au petit soin pour ses hôtes.

Bonne situation géographique, grand appartement , belle vue et market juste à côté. Ana nous a aidé à trouver une chambre quand nous avons voulu rester une nuit de plus, ce qui n'est pas simple à Hvar en pleine saison !!

Le wi-fi marche essentiellement dehors

Apartamento amplio con vistas a las islas Plakeni pero sin nada destacable.

Muy difícil de encontrar a pesar del navegador. Hay que subir bastantes escaleras para llegar a él. La distancia al centro de Hvar se hace larga, sobre todo a la vuelta, pues es toda cuesta arriba y se tarda cerca de media hora.

Fin utsikt över havet från rummet. Anna är mycket trevlig och kom med bra tips om aktiviteter! Nära till butik, stränder och staden Hvar. Vi trivdes mycket bra och då framförallt med den familjära stämningen på Villa Popvic

Det är några jobbiga trappsteg från gatan upp till huset.

Ana is a wonderful and thoughtful host. There is a really good supermarket just across the road. There was free parking. The villa is in a quiet spot and our room at the first level had a lovely view from the shady terrace.

Fantastisk gästfrihet och hjälpsamhet - återvänder mer än gärna till Villa Popovic!

There is only one air-conditioning unit and that is in the kitchen leaving thus bedrooms really warm. The cooking stove was old and rusty impossible to cook with that.

Vi hadde "de luxe"leiligheten som var kjempefin.Anna som var vertinnen var veldig hjelpsom når vi lurte på leie av bil osv.Villaen har en fantastisk flott utsikt over vannet.Villaen lå på oppsiden av byen,så det var litt oppover,men det var det verdt:)

Svært servicevennlig, deilig frokost, god beliggenhet i forhold til både strand og byen Trogir dvs. greit å gå. Nye leiligheter med god standard.

The best and most spacious of 6 apartments we stayed in in Croatia - ours was a lovely furnished 2 bedroom/2 bathroom one on the top floor with a big living room & open kitchen, as well as several balconies. Walking distance to Hvar town. Ana the proprietor is very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Living in a residential area. Supermarket nearby. Quiet. Nice views.

Kitchen could be better equipped with a few smaller cooking pans but a bigger frying pan. More hooks for towels & clothes in bathroom, esp. Next to shower, would be very welcome. These are just suggestions to make a wonderful apartment even better.
