Hotel Uvala Dubrovnik is situated on a quiet spot on Dubrovnik's Lapad peninsula, only a short bus ride from the old town. The Uvala hotel is situated in the Lapad bay close to a nice beach, 10 minutes by car from the historic quarter of Dubrovnik or 40 minutes by foot. The bus stop is also right in front of the hotel. The area is dominated by the clear blue sea and shady, green pine forests. A spirit of well-being is present throughout the Uvala hotel - from the beautifully designed, non-smoking rooms and the excellent spa facilities to the macrobiotic menu offered at the Mantala restaurant. A diverse selection of meat, fish and macrobiotic dishes is served, accompanied by a fine selection of superior domestic wines. From the summer terrace there are magnificent views over the Lapad bay and the Elafiti archipelago. The Rozolin Bar is an inviting place to sip a cocktail in the afternoon or enjoy your coffee in the morning. Uvala's health club and spa features a steam bath, various saunas and a massage center. After relaxing in the sauna, you can cool off in the hotel's indoor or seasonal outdoor pool. The Uvala hotel also features 2 conference rooms for up to 50 people. Hotel Rooms: 51, Hotel Chain: Hoteli Maestral. Most recent booking for this hotel was yesterday at 17:58 from United States of America.

Good location with excellent sea views from the balcony on the fourth floor. Bus stop outside to go into Dubrovnik ( 15 min journey ) and every 15 mins. Excellent range of restaurants and shops at Labad Beach, 5 minutes walk away. Food in the hotel could be better but was not bad! and it is quite expensive for what you get, we ate out every night.

Excellent location with a balcony overlooking the cove (which Uvala means, apparently) and the bus into Dubrovnik just outside the door. Helpful, friendly and efficient staff.

The staff were really really nice and the hotel was so clean. The reception staff were so efficient. Room views were gorgeous and the spa facilities were lovely. Would really recommend this hotel it really added to our enjoyed of our trip. The indoor pool was freezing.. and the outdoor pool was being cleaned. It was the start of the season so thats fair enough and a clean pool is better than a dirty one. The jacuzzi made up for it. :)

Well located on Lapad Peninsula (cheaper side) and only a 10 min bus ride from the Old Town. Views from the "Sea View and Balcony" rooms were stunning. Sea was crystal clear, but beache area in the region of the hotel was a little scruffy with a shingle beach. Having said that we spent a very pleasant few hours swimming in the sea and lounging on the beach, in fab weather. Breakfast was good and staff were very friendly. Overall a good experience that I would happily recommend. There was a charge for using the Spa, including the pool, which was a little disappointing.

The staff where very friendly and helpful, they could not do enough for us. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a bit early in the season but the pool was empty. We still had the indoor pool and the spa.

Great location and great views from out room. The staff were pleasant and friendly. The outdoor swimming pool was empty and there were not enough sun loungers or cushions put out around the pool.

The staff were the best of any hotel I have stayed in throughout the world; not in an "American", professionally- sycophantic way....... Just genuine friendly helpfulness. They made every day pleasant. The massage I enjoyed in the spa was the best I have experienced. Thank you, all.

A very nice location with a view of the water. One could walk to the old town or take a city bus which stopped in front of the hotel. The breakfast was good and the pool area was pleasant. The hot tub water temperature was not hot enough.

We had a room at the front on the 4th floor with a good size balcony and view overlooking the bay, which was certainly worth the extra. The room and bathroom/shower were of a good size and standard, and were kept very clean. We enjoyed the food - dinner is a buffet with a wide selection of regional dishes, and while a few may not have been to our taste, there was such a wide choice that we could always select a very good meal and at €10 it was excellent value. Breakfast is a good buffet selection. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. There is a bus outside the hotel every 20 minutes to the old town (15 minute journey) - we bought the 7-day Dubrovnik card, good value as it includes 20 bus trips and entry fees to many (but not all) attractions in Dubrovnik. We used the free wi-fi (on the ground floor) - to use the hotel's computer would not have been free. The outdoor pool was too cold for us to use, and the indoor pool was rather cool.

Staff were nice. The door in our shower was broken. We had to contact reception a few times. The bedroom was very very basic considering this hotel is rated 4 star.

The view---absolutely gorgeous. Also very convenient to the bus stop. Room was dirty, carpet looked bleached and old, dust everywhere in the room. Crap tv and the claims of wireless internet were false.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Good location away from the old city and right on a bus line. Nice to have a spa on site. Coffee machine needs cleaning!!! The coffee tasted burnt each morning. And it would be really nice to have the wifi work where it is supposed to -- I could never get a connection on the 1st floor -- and to have the high-speed line connection in the room work. No one managed to get the repair-person to come to fix it during the days I was there -- and as I was leaving I heard another guest request to have his fixed in his room.

We had a clean, comfortable room with a seaside view. The bus into the old city stops nearby, so we could head into town and then quickly escape the crowds with a short bus ride. We were able to walk to dinner both nights of our stay as there are numerous places to eat nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful and let us borrow some towels for our short trip down the hill to the beach. Breakfast was nice with a good variety of selections. Overall we had a very nice stay.

The Hotel was an excellent choice with very good amenities, but we thought a little overpriced. The location was excellent within a very good area for the beaches, restaurants and trips into Dubrovnik old town. We had a car but this was not needed for Dubrovnik old town, where there is no parking. The local bus service which stops right outside the hotel and drops you at the main gate to the old city is excellent. Buy your return tickets at the hotel they are cheaper. The local beaches are all pebble and stone but very clean and picturesque. We went to Mosta which was an interesting trip and the local resort of Cavat which we were very impressed with.
