No kettle to make tea in the room
location was good, easy to get to Old Town by local bus. Great swimming pool.
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent buffet breakfast and dinner. Superb view, close to public transport making city visits easy.
Muddy parking area.
Breakfast was great. Hotel was empty and quiet.shower rooms.
Of the places we have stayed in Croatia, this was the least preferred in terms of the breakfast set up. The coffee was not good at the breakfast. Coffee on main level of hotel was much better although there was a charge.
Loved the view from our room. Room was clean and spacious. Dubrovnik is wonderful to see.
The location! Granted there aren't many restaurants or shops around but all you have to do is go down the other hotel and you will find a few souvenir shops and cafes/restaurants. Transportation by bus #6 takes you right to the old city, only about 15-20 minutes and it is very convenient. My sea view room was amazing. Breakfast was great with a lot of options, however, it is busy being a large hotel. The staff did try there best to keep up with clearing the tables and resetting them as fast as they could. I wish I could have stayed longer as I enjoyed all their facilities from the pool to the spa.
Food in self service restaurant doesn't match standard of hotel. Go for B&B and eat out at great local restaurants.
Room, facilities, service very good. Location and views lovely. Local buses to the old town every 10 minutes.
The hotel is not designed with strollers or wheelchairs in mind. We had to lift our baby stroller several times. The only way in and out of the pool/beach is through the restaurant but the staff wouldn't let you in (in a very rude way!).
Nice, clean rooms. Great buffet but very smelly close to the hot food sector. The beach at President Valamar is great.
the air conditioning was set at too high a temperature and we were unable to adjust it.
everything ,except the air conditioning.
Lack of wifi. There is wifi in certain parts of hotel but didn't reach to pool area or bedroom, which were the two places I spent most time.
Outdoor pool area was great, as was the buffet breakfast.
A smart, modern, comfortable and well run hotel in a peaceful location and a stunning outlook. A week was not enough.
Expensive for a 4star hotel. The food of the room service was not very tasty. There is a big open area where you can park your car but sometimes it's not very easy to find a place, for such a hotel would have been better if there a was a reserved area for the clients free of charge.
A design fresh and new hotel, very clean and spacious room, nice fitness center big and well equiped, very kind and helpfull staff in all areas. Amazing breakfast. Nice view and good amenities!
Family room was 2 kingsize beds in interconnecting rooms. Twin beds would be better for children Restaurant options are fine dining (lovely food but not child friendly) or overpriced all you can eat buffet. However there is a lovely restaurant (Komin) just behind the hotel
Easy access to Dubrovnik - the bus stops outside and it is near the start of the route so is not full (a problem closer to town) Pool is lovely with lots of loungers Very comfortable beds
Bit far from old center, we had to use bus and taxi. But this is ok.
Own beach, nice swimming pool and well served breakfast. Top hotel
This may not be the fault of the hotel rather a reflection of the poor currency exchange rate but we did find the cost of everything rather expensive in Croatia. Consequently some of the additional services provided by the hotel were rather expensive compared with back home.
The friendly and helpful staff, the excellent hotel facilities, the superb location, good cuisine all contributed to a very memorable holiday.
Some people put towels on the sun beds but don't turn up until late afternoon.
Staff upgraded us free of charge to a Junior Suite which was super. Bus took you to Dubrovnik Old Town, 15 mins away, buy tickets at hotel magazine shop (check opening times on arrival!) otherwise they cost more on the bus. Pool lovely. Got taxi back to bus station for onward journey. Super!
great place for vacation, staff very friendly and opened for client.room cleaned every day, realy good food with bog choice for all. Great swimming pools.I'll back to thi shotel for sure!!!!
Close to the beach, outside of busy city centre, delicious food, good Spa and massages,
Staff failed to assign us with the correct room we booked on this website. Booked a twin room but provided a double room, when we queried reception there was no apology for this mistake and we were made to feel as if we were bothering them. They recommended another room (but said we had to move rooms in next 5 minutes as hotel was full and more guests were coming). This was unprofessional as it was their mistake and we did not want to waste anymore time moving rooms. First impressions were not great. We arrived early and the front desk said they could accommodate us in next 20 minutes, but we waited for around 45 minutes and had to check on staff a few times (staff should have volunteered to inform us when the room was ready). We booked a day trip which was cancelled by the hotel due to rain. This was fine, but staff did not inform us of cancellation and we ended up waking up early, rushing breakfast and waiting for tour. We only found out when we asked the tour was cancelled. Overall a nice clean 4 star hotel with brilliant services. But the service is not up to the same standard and needs to be improved.
Good location, close to Old Town - about 15 minute bus ride. Easily accessible to the beach and mini market. Spacious and clean rooms. Delicious breakfast and dinner buffet a good range.
The quality of the hotel and the facilities provided are excellent. The food at breakfast was great, plenty of choice and always fresh and hot and the dinner in the evening was of the same quality. The bar food and poolside food was excellent. The staff were always helpful, polite and cheerful, in particular the 'omelette lady', our chambermaid Milena and Dolores, a waitress in the bar.
The only down side was a cook working the outside grill handled the raw chicken and the buns with his hands. No gloves worn or hand washing in between.
Very clean, modern , quiet rooms. Excellent variety of foods. Amenities were plentiful. Staff was multilingual and of all ages.
The only two things I didnt like were the comfort of the beds. They were kind of hard and springy and after the 2nd day my back began to hurt, and im a young physically fit guy. The other thing that we didnt like was that the Wifi was weak in our room.
I loved the breakfast buffet and the staff. It was also nice that they let you use their sister facility the Valamar Dubrovnik Presidential. In fact if I could go back I probably would have booked at the Presidential. They have a much nicer pool area. Nonetheless we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Its close to the #6 bus which takes you right into town and the facilities were clean.
Comfort and kindness of staff. Excelent instalations.
lack of water with meals; cocktail prices
location / food
The half board meal was only available in the evenings, so it restricted the dining times.
The variety at the dinner buffet was changing daily including special evenings for the grill, fish and countrywise food. Everything was fresh and tasty.
