Friendly staff very clean and newly renovated Great value for money Free WiFi Picturesque view
Somehow difficult access, up the hill, so if you are on foot with luggage, it is not easy. But most of the apartments/B&B in the area are like this.
The apartment was clean and quite comfortable
The owner was rather unkind. And he didn't want to state the whole company name on my invoice! Even after I asked few times he didn't do it saying that he doesn't understand what I mean (I and don't know how much clearer you can say: I need all the data on the invoice).
Location, view and comfort of the place and it had parking which was a plus for the area. Katia is a great host.
The number steps when returning from outings, however, the height is what gave the place it's great view and the small shower.
The owner is welcoming and friendly. The property has a limited number of rooms and there didn't seem many people staying so it was very quiet. The area was nice and the view from the balcony was beautiful - over the bay and mountains. The premise was clean and the room was nice with a fridge outside on the landing for shared use with others (no tea/coffee facilities). It was a great location for us though there is over 150 steps to the property from the main street below so not good for anyone with limited mobility. The main street has a number of nice restaurants and is a short walk to the beach (pebble beach). There is a bus stop at the end of the main street where you can catch a bus to the old town of Dubrovnik, we did walk a couple of times which takes under an hour. I would recommend if you are happy with lots of steps!
The house is in a very good shape and nice, cosy atmosphere. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The hosts were very nice and welcoming. For the money you pay, it is a very good deal and definitely recommendable!
There was a very sharp corner in the shower cabin, might be dangerous for kids or drunk adults:) Internet didn't work inside the room. No fridge in the room. Difficult to find by car without navigation system.
always have euro with you to pay!!!!!
immaculately clean lovely decor pristine bathroom
english tv channels very imited
cleanliness,nice staff,lovely views.
all the steps,mosquitoes/midgees
The views are excellent the owners very friendly and welcoming.
The only slight about the location is the amount of stairs in and around Petra Svacica 43 although if you have a car not an issue but there are alternative routes to the property. Not recommended for guests with mobility issues.
Great for access for the main street in Lapad. Bus very straight forward to Dubrovnik. Very friendly and helpful host. Comfortable, spacious, air con, great modern shower room.
There are lots steps, so prepare to climb them!
Great value, Excellent cleaningness and housekeeping service, Good apartment facilities, Very good location, Very nicely decorated, Helpful and thoughtful owner.
Staff friendliness Nice interior Available parking
Hot water barely enough for 1 person The double bed is actually 2 single mattresses which is a bit inconvenient for a couple.
The hosts are great. I believe that anything that they can do for you they will. Michael allowed me to park my car in his own space because the garage was a tight squeeze and gave us a day's extra parking. The small terrace of every room overlooking the bay is a bonus. This is a great value place.
The roads are narrow in this area. There are a lot of stairs back to Villa B to climb from the bus stop. Do bear this in mind if you have a problem with stairs! The wifi was a little erratic in the room we had.
View Location Host explained where everything was when we arrived and gave is a beer and a glass of wine each on our arrival.
Lot of steps but worth the view from the balcony if you don't mind a bit of exercise.
Stayed at Villa Boro for 5 nights with a female friend. It was in walking distance from the promenade in Lapad--quite convenient for quick meals and swims! You have to climb up and down stairs but it didn't really bother us. Since we were in DBV for a few days, staying in quiet and relaxing Lapad was a great decision. The room was very comfortable with a nice terrace looking over the beach. The owner family was so accommodating as well. The daughter was especially helpful with restaurant recommendations and rides to and from the airport. I would def recommend Villa Boro to young couples and friends traveling to DBV!
The wifi was quite weak.
Clean, modern, spacious apartment, perfect for two people. TV with english channels for the rainy evening and lovely view of the bay.
Everything was fine but there are lots of steps in the complex (and in Dubrovnik in general) so would recommend to suit younger couples/families and not older couples.
Great location outside old town, 5 minutes to two different beaches, or if you prefer, bathing from cliffs. Lots of restaurants nearby, although a lot of the restaurants are sports bars on an esplanade but there are some really nice restaurants in the neighborhood. The family who owns the hotel is always helpful!
The esplanade is a bit touristy but it is easy to get away from the esplanade with the local buses.
Villa Boro is only a short walk from the beach and the bus stop to Old Town Dubrovnik. Buses are regular, quick and run til 2am so didn't affect a night out. You can also get a 24 hour pass so it's cost effective! A beautiful view and a really friendly family running the villa! They were so helpful, recommended some great/reasonably priced places to eat and even went to the trouble of booking us a table!
The nearest shop is at the bottom of the hill/steps. If after a tiring day, you fancy something other than tap water & haven't been organised to get something before walking up, the prospect of going down to come back up is a bit off-putting but not the end of the world. We had no problem with the steps but they may be challenging for people with mobility problems.
Great owners, very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. The accommodation itself is clean, comfy and spacious. We were in one of the top apartments with a balcony overlooking Lapad Bay - breathtaking! We stayed there as a couple, but later a group of friends joined us and it was just perfect. Thank you so much to Villa Boro for a great stay and your kindness and hospitality.
Wifi connection isn't great and it is a bit of a climb up the stairs from the beach, but I wouldn't let either deter me from booking again. We loved it!
The hillside location for me is a plus as each morning you wake up to the most amazing view - looking down onto Lapad Bay with it's beach, the ocean & the islands beyond. It is very peaceful in the streets around the Villa but yet only a 5 minute walk via the steps to the promenade street below with it's bars, shops & restaurants..& the beach! The Villa itself is very clean & beautifully furnished. Each room/apartment is located in & around a series of terraces & balconies so the setting is very nice. We had a balcony with sea-view on the top floor at the front & we loved it. As I said the view was stunning. We watched a thunderstorm from the balcony on the Saturday night which was spectacular! Best seats in the house! Bozena & her mother were very cheery & helpful & helped us out with taxis, directions & advice.
For me the place was perfect but obviously there are some steps to contend with if you stay up a hillside. It's definitely not suitable for the elderly but for the capable it's good exercise on the way up!
Wonderfull Sea view Nice hosts and their extra Services(Transfers,Excursions,Car-Scooter-Boat Rentals) If you are walking the stairs which are leading to appartments are good for 5-10 min. workout
Poor- good Wlan signal not depending on owners, but they are working on it. Small shower bath but ok...
The view The stuff
250 stairs from main road to hotel, addiotianal to 50 more stairs to get in our room.
I liked the fact that all the answers I got beforehand via email were true. They came to pick us up from the airport and price is very reasonable, compered to taxi prices in general. I warmly recommend taking this transport because Villa Boro is quite hard to access from busstop with your luggage. Staff was very friendly and did what they promised. They gave us lot of information in the beginning and during our stay. Nice view over the Lapad bay.
There is a free WIFI and it worked ok, even though they had problems with operator in couple of days during our stay. They offered us help we needed when WIFI was not working. Be prepared to walk stairs when going to the beach, to the supermarket, to restaurants and to the busstop.
Plitvice Lake and Old City of Dubrovnik
Staff were so friendly and helpful. Such a beautiful location high on the hill of Lapad with an amazing view from the balcony.
Would have loved cooking facilities. So many stairs.
