Vila Cancar  

Very nice small hotel near Plitvica lakes (5 minutes by car). Nice hostess, who will cook a breakfast in the coutry site kitchen, feels like at home.

The owner was very friendly and helpful in all ways. The rooms were clean and spacious.

Joseph and Mariana were fantastic hosts. Obviously very proud of their establishment and their country. We were delighted with the presentation of our rooms. Mariana was happy to give us a history lesson over breakfast and also helped us with our plans to visit the nearby Plitvice National Park. Would highly recommend both Vila Cancar and Plitvice.

Comfortable and very well furnished rooms ( TV, wifi, AC, new bathroom ). Quiet and nice enviroment; lot of parking space; delicious and rich breakfast. Great place for spending your vacation!

This hotel is 8 km away from Entrance1 of Plitvica. No bus, no taxi. You need a car here.

Very convenient to the Plitzvica Lakes

Vila Cancar is located in a rather quiet area near nature park Plitivce. Rooms look like they were renovated recently. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Try the fried bread with an egg!

For those looking for a base camp while exploring Plitvice Lakes National Park, look no further. Villa Cancar is a newly constructed, budget friendly property, that is expertly managed. Traveling with my wife and our French Bulldog, we rented an apartment at Villa Cancar. The space had a seperate living area with a couch, desk, and kitchenette. From the living area were double doors that led onto a private patio with a table and chairs. The apartment is air conditioned throughout and does have an in wall safe (not mentioned in the listing). The breakfast each morning was impeccable. However, the best thing is the proximity to the national park. Only about five miles away, the park is accessible within a matter of minutes. Daily parking is very reasonable. There are also a few local restaurants near Villa Cancar that feature local selections and standard fair, all on an English menu with English speaking wait staff. Would highly recommend Villa Cancar to anyone looking to explore Plitvice Lakes from a clean, comfortable, affordable base.

The satellite television only had two English speaking channels, cnn and bbc. Then again, if you are choosing this hotel, watching television should be the last thing on your mind.

The hostess was so kind and helpful! We arived a little bit after 10 pm and she waited for us and was very welcoming. There was a safe in the room. The room was cleaned every day and the towels were changed. The breakfast was great! Everything you need! About 7 km from plitvice. A quiet place and close to restaurants.

The price was a bit high, but we enjoyed the place very much!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, Marina is great host and prepared very nice breakfast. The room was clean and the location is very close to the Plitvicke Lake.

I would recommend to put some informational brochures about the Plitvichke Lakes and the possible tours in the park.

Marina, the proprietor, was very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were modern and clean. The breakfast was the best of our trip. They advertised continental, but it was much more. Location was close to Plitvicka park.

Price was a little high. It would have been nice if they had more tourist information on the park.
