Vila Marija  

The convenience of being close to the National Park.

Vila Marija is convenient to the Krka Natinal Park. It is priced right for budget travel. Monika (Monique) is a sweet host and made us feel welcome. For the time of year (November), the room was chilly. We slept well. It is quiet.

The room was chilly at night.

Much better than photos, beautiful location with wineyards, they sell an excellent white wine and a very tasty red wine aperitif. During low season week ends a nice restaurant is opened. Autumn landscapes have incredible red to yellow colors and staff is nice and helpful. Easy to find by car. 30 minutes to Zagreb and 30 minutes to airport also

The staff is very friendly, below is a quite good bar with affordable prices and good music (at least to my taste - old rock). The hotel is situated in the centre, right at the entrance and has a parking space right next to it. This way, we could take our luggage easily to our room and also stay in the town centre.

The location, centre of town

The bed was comfortable with fresh sheets but the blanket was very dirty as were all the other blankets in the room, the sofa and rug were extremely dirty, Im sure the rug even had blood on it. There was no hot water in the evening and the room stunk of smoke. We did not stay the planned, booked and paid for two nights but checked out after one night. Happy to lose 50€ to avoid staying there again. The breakfast was very low budget. I went to look at the hotel opposite, they had nice rooms and a decent breakfast for just slightly more per night but worth it!

Don't be fooled: this is a budget accomodation! The hotel doesn't offer luxury, but its staff is very nice, the rooms are clean and it has character. It's located very conveniently in "downtown" Skradin: you can reach everything by walking and start your excursion to Krka national park from here. If you can cope with a little noise at night, the fact that there is no air conditioning (we visited during a heat period in August), and if you don't want to spend your money in hotels but rather on sightseeing or dining, then Vila Marija is definitively great value for money!

Lack of roadsigns to find the hotel. Be careful : do not use the carpark close to the hotel because it's expensive but leave your car in the carpark along the mainroad (it's free)

No airconditon in rooms. But we were there, when outside temeprature was in shadow 36°C - and we surrived

It's good hotel in the center of Skradin, city is very small so anyway u r close to everything, boat to krka etc. Clean, quite, balkony, wi-fi.

It could be better with kitchen or even only fridge

The feeling it gives you: like you're staying in an abandonned hotel in the war without any repairement since many years. The woman that services the breakfast was the only positive we experienced.

This building needs some investments. Next to the spiders, the café just below our room wasn't very pleasant as it was filled with many people when a football game was shown on television. The bathroom is quite old, and the whole room actually has a bad smell that probably comes from the wall, the floor and the furniture that looks like it's older than my grandma. Unpleasant stay, especially due to the girl that seems to run this place and has very surly reactions.

It's a bit primitive! Bathroom was poor, tv did not work.

Hôtel très bon marché avec grande terrasse et petit déjeuner copieux. Bien situé pour visiter les chutes de Krka.
