most beautiful view from the room on old city walls and sea side; great location just few minutes walk from old town; very obligingly and kindly staff and management; very hearty breakfast with most delicious pancakes; very clean; free wi-fi
Great locations with the views of the Old Town and sea We had fabulous stay at Villa Allure. There are only 9 rooms and very homely atmosphere. The Old town is just 5 minutes walking distance. The staff was very attentive and very friendly, especially Maria. The breakfast is wonderful, was prepared by Chef. We’ve been upgraded to the room with the spectacular view to the Old Town. We will definitely come back soon. Highly recommend!
that we couldn't stay longer !!!!
Uphill from the old city, along a street, at night little traffic on the street- good location! Maria at the reception and serving breakfast was very helpful, other staff did not speak much English, but nice people. It was low season, and only few other guests were staying at the 9 room hotel. Cozy
Everything was at least OK!
Location, 5 mins. walk to the old city.
Everything else, poor service, cramped rooms, 2 stars maximum.
Staff was very accommodating and on top of it. Great place and great location to Old Town. Very nice small delicious breakfast with good coffee.
The manager Maria was very helpfull , the location was good and the friend I was travelling with said the breakfast was good and cooked freshly
Booking .com advertise the room as ground floor with terrace which in actual fact it it lower ground floor with the outlook of a solid wall! because of this the room was very dark. It is not easy to find a member of staff as there are only 3 so if there is a problem most of the time there is no one there to help. There are sun beds but they never put the cushions out so you have to sit on hard wood. The breakfast area they have now created on the top terrace is fine if it's dry but the canopy leaks when raining and due to the fact there is no sun it's also very cold, personally I would only class it as 2 star not 4. you need to be fit when it comes to dragging your luggage up loads of different stairs if Maria is not around. LSA
Staff was helpful. the room was very clean and well decorated to a very high standard.
when i was booking, here was a photo of the terrace which gave me the impression that it comes with the room (a room with a terrace) but it was more like a communal area. Also, the terrace we had was in the basement.
Virtually every aspect was very good
The villa has all outside stairs to access the rooms, we were on an upper floor, with no lift this may have been a problem if we were not too fit. I had not noticed whether this point had been mentioned before booking.
Room with good style but only the very top floor rooms have uninterrupted views of sea & city etc. others all compromised, many by air con etc. of large modern building of hotel opposite. So that can pay for premium room with sea view and get part sea view / part rear of hotel. Noisy and busy at hotel entrance opposite and on road beneath villa. Good proximity to Old Town and coast nearby.
Breakfast was poor with items on menu not available 'due to delivery problems' (on successive days in a city). Very limited selection in some cases (cereal, fruit) and information - asked for what the 'selection of cheeses' included - 'one regular cheese, one smoked cheese and one weird cheese that I don't know what it is'. Quality of what was available mixed. No information available in room about villa, services available and locality etc. & with no one around in the day to ask. Transfer from airport offered and taken up (by email) but never arrived and not seem that concerned about error.
The accommodation was very good and the breakfasts were second to none.
The biting midges in the shaded breakfast area.if your susceptible to being attacked by the little perishers then mossy spray is a must.perhaps it was the time of year for them but they were prolific in any shaded area.
This hotel has got everything just right. From the location - a relaxing 10 min walk into the old city walls, the rooms are just enough for what is required. Breakfast in the morning is cooked to order - which reminds you to take your time and enjoy the Southern Croatian atmosphere!!!
fantastic view of old town big bedroom with sofa and small dining table and chairs
service at breakfast was a bit slow. scrambled eggs very salty not every thing was available on the menu
great location. lovely large suite, beautiful views, had everything we needed!
Lovely small hotel with incredibly well appointed rooms - ours had a great view over the old Town of Dubrovnik. Location is fine with a short 5 minute stroll down to the City walls. Small swimming pool was a bonus as well. One of the better hotels we stayed in Croatia.
Nothing major and I would stress this is a cracking hotel. It is a small boutique hotel so only really rooms and a small pool - no lounges, bars etc. Parking is difficult, although we used the larger hotel over the road. On first day the house staff were late turning up to set up breakfast - and guests were all waiting - it eventually started 30 minutes late.
Authentic old building just walking distance to old town, remodeled 2 years ago, rooms are spacious and and beautiful! Pool was a plus! Breakfast included. Can highly recommend this hotel although very tempted to keep it a secret.
Lack of common room and/or bar to meet.
We were met with a big smile. Tired after the shock we had just before starting our trip not having a hotel in Dubrovnic as it had been canceled .We felt so good. The room was excellent. Staff very helpful.could easy stay there again.
The breakfast was very disorganised . As we only stayed one night we asked if they could help us with ongoing trip. After checking on the internet they told us the bus was leaving at 12.00. That was utterly wrong. It made us sit at the bus station for 4 hours. So we had a long trip.
Gorgeous, clean room. Free Wi-Fi. PERFECT location -- perfect walking distance outside of the bustling Old Town, quick walk to the main night clubs and Cable Car. Close to a main hotel so easy to find. Had to walk a bit from airport shuttle but other than that was perfect. Also, we requested a late check out and while we couldn't stay in our room, they offered us another room to shower/etc after a day out before our flight. SO hospitable!!!
Breakfast was a little blah but was a fine little bite to begin the day.
Fabulously comfortable bed & good location
Rooms were fantastic with exceptional view of Dubrovnik. Only a short walk to city gates. Swimming pool was a bonus. Breakfast was simple but at least included in room price
Breakfast on first day was served late with 5 tables sitting and waiting at 8 (advertised start time) and girl eventually sauntered in at 8.15 and so nothing served until 8.15 - not major just a tad annoying
Locatipn i wonderful, same I can say about building and equipment
Breakfast is not professional, nice girls are trying but it is not professional organised.
Located a short walk outside the old city and close to nice beach.
The Villa is more like a b&b, dont expect the service and amenities of a hotel. The room was small, the terrace basically cave-like, no view from there. Don't book the superior room, the others are far nicer.
Location: it is close to the city center (walking distance) Modern furnishing Breakfast: the food quality was great Pool: nice little pool to relax in the afternoons
Parking: no parking place near here, parking in the streets is impossible (finding a spot) and even if you do it is terribly expensive (if you manage to figure out how to pay for parking in Dubrovnik) Staff: untrained staff, not very friendly and "snobby" Showers: it seems whoever designed this bathroom never used it. The shower has one of those half-doors that just covers half of the bathtub. The problem is that they put the door on the half where the shower is, which means you cannot actually shower there but use the rest of the bathtub. The bathroom at the end of it is a swamp.
Room was very elegant and location was a shot walk from the old city.
Beautiful location, great building, nice little pool.
There is hardly any service at all, breakfast even if good has very limited choice. The hotel is still building its reception, so the reception is in the kitchen. Great potential but currently run totally unprofessionally. No value for money unless you only care about a beautiful room with a stunning view.
Beautiful rooms. Helpful staff around during the day. Great location for getting to and from town.
Poor breakfast service. Missed having a bar area to have a drink. No response to emails sent prior to arriving.
