Villa Arka  

The owners Andro and Yasne were very nice and helpful. Andro speaks English and can tell you the best ways to get around. View is very nice and the pool and terrace were fun. Often, Andro has a BBQ for all the guests. If you get invited don't miss it. It was so much fun to talk with people from so many different countries! Arka is not a luxury accomodation but was certainly adequate. It was near enough to walk to Cavtat beach, grocery, ferry to Dubrovnik and buses. We had a car and were happy we did but most of the guests walked and took public transportation. We were looking for a luxury hotel at first but they were all booked. We are happy that we found the Villa Arka instead for the one of a kind experience.

Not all the rooms have wi-fi. Remember to have the room payment in kuna. We forgot till the last night and it was difficult to round up the entire amount in kuna at the last minute. Our fault (it was in the contract) but being from the USA we are so used to using credit cards, we thought it was already paid for.

Outdated room, not 100% clean, internet not working properly. Far from dining opportunities...quite expensive for received value compared to other alternatives

La proximité relative (à 2 km quand même) du centre de Cavtat, point de départ idéal pour une balade en bateau vers Dubrovnik. La (petite) piscine raffraichissante

Accueil 'basique' et confort très sommaire (douche minuscule). Appartement pour 4 personnes ? En fait, 1 chambre et un petit divan-lit (dans le living) trop étroit pour 2 adolescentes. Une propreté discutable. Une voiture indispensable. En concusion : la moins bonne adresse en Croatie sur un séjour dans 7 établissements à prix et descriptions pourtant comparables.

Bekvämt med två badrum. Trevlig altan med pool.

Tråkigt bemötande av personalen. Svårt att få tag i personal. Oerhört smutsigt ÖVERALLT!!!!!!!! Uruselt städat.Direkt snuskigt på sina ställen. Tex allt porslin och alla bestick samt besticklåda var jättesnuskigt. Matbordet och dess duk var fruktansvärt äckligt. Air condition i sovrummet förde sådant öväsen att det inte gick att sova. Alldeles för dyrt i förhållande till standarden. För långt från stranden. Vi är MYCKET besvikna. Svårt att förstå att booking.com kan stå bakom ett sådant ställe.

The view

The apartment was not in the location stated. It was 30minutes outside the old town not 10 as stated and on a very steep hill. The apartment was not clean on arrival. The toilet door was broken and did not close. The apartment would not accommodate 4people.

Dårligere standard enn vi forventet. Te kjøkkenet er minimalt utstyrt og ikke egnet til annet enn frokost. Skitne glass og bestikk i skapene. Utegrillen på terrassen er ikke innbydende å lage mat på, og eieren bruker de også selv. Det verste er likevel renholdet generelt. Her er skikkelig skittent. Dusjen var motbydelig med hår og annet avfall (måtte ta en skikkelig norsk "nedvask"), gulvene er nok bare kostet, ikke vasket på lenge. Det lukter. Trappene og terrassene er verken vasket eller kostet. Det lille bassenget ble renset hver dag. Vi har leid andre steder i Kroatia tidligere og der har renhold og standard vært helt ypperlig. Spesielt når pris og kvalitet settes i sammenheng.

Günstige Übernachtung vor Rückflug, netter Pool für die Kinder, schöner Spaziergang bis zur Altstadt (aber etwa 2 km). Nächste Bushaltestelle Obod (ca 300 m oberhalb). Supermarkt auch 300 m oberhalb. Bereits nach Anfrage per Mail wurde uns für 5 Uhr morgens ein Taxi zum Flughafen (20 Euro) organisiert, hat auch super geklappt.

Betten eher kurz, jede Sprungfeder spürbar.
