Hotel Villa DianaUlica kralja Zvonimira 14, 21000 Split (Show map) Excellent, Score from 76 reviews“The staff were so nice, couldn't have been more helpful. Give us guidlines on things to do and where to eat. It is a really sweet hotel, clean and functional. It is only a few minutes walk from the old city. There is a nice seated area outside the front where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by.”

Hotel Villa Diana is a small family-run hotel situated in the center of Split, near Split's ferry port. In just a 5 minute walk from the hotel you can reach the center of Split, the bus and the train stations. The hotel building was owned by one of Split’s oldest families – the Kuzmanić, and it is a part of Split’s cultural heritage. Villa Diana’s comfortable restaurant offers great specialties from Dalmatian and international cuisine, especially fish dishes; there are also top-quality wines and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on offer. The friendly and committed staff is always happy to assist you in anything you may need, creating a superb vacation atmosphere. Hotel Rooms: 6

Villa Diana is a family run boutique hotel. Family is there all the time, very friendly, helpful, and of course speak excellent English. The family completely remodled one of the oldest buildings in the city turning it into a beautiful hotel. Breakfast is very good with the ability to order. One small example, I wanted a banana for my cereal, next thing I knew they were back from the market with my banana! Breakfast is served in the Hotel dining room, which has outdoor seating, and is also very good for dinner. Location is perfect, few blocks from the Ferry dock and old city. Rooms are clean, with good bathroom, and average size. Hotel is on a busy street, but room was quiet with windows closed and airconditioning on.

The suite of rooms we were given at the Hotel Villa Diana had been thoughtfully and imaginatively decorated and it was a real pleasure to base ourselves there, even though it was for a very short time indeed - just two nights. We'd love to be able to use the same ideas in our own home. A small hotel beautifully converted from a family home and run with the personal touch (including mailing us beforehand to ask what sort of beds we wanted and if there was any help they could give, and providing a packed breakfast on our second morning because we had an early ferry to catch) by the family that owns it. We really could not have asked for more. It also has a really very nice terrace restaurant attached to it which, like the rooms, has a real atmosphere about it with friendly and personable staff. It's located not too far from the centre of Split, Diocletian's Palace and the Riva and also quite close to the ferry port and the rail station. Should we return to Split, as we hope to some time, we will have no hesitation in booking ourselves into the Villa Diana again.

The service at this hotel was exceptional. When my brothers and I needed information about catching a bus from Split to Plitvice Lakes, the hotel staff called the bus station for us to find out all the pertinent information. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was spotless and very roomy. Breakfast was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to have more than one cappuccino! The hotel is very close to the beautiful sights of Split and considering location and service, this hotel ranks high on my list of favorites!

Ideal location withing short walking distance from the old town. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helped us with our luggage from the car. Safe parking was just outside the hotel. WiFi was included in the room price and functioned well Breakfast was very simple and basic.

Some 5 min walk from city centre (Riva), small hotel in an old refurbished town house, excellent breakfast on the terrace. Very helpful people. We took this hotel because we wanted the town centre proximity and car park facility at a reasonable price. Situation on an important road, a bit noisy, as in all town centres...

The staff were all extremely helpful, it is a family run business and they go above and behind the call of duty. The hotel is in a perfect location, close to everything but still nice and quiet of a night time.

“The appartment had been recently equipped and decorated in an attractive if rather chinzy style- roses everywhere. It was confortable and had everythihng you might want. It was very well situated in Split, just across the road from a lovely if fairly popular, shallow sandy beach. It was also within walking distance (15 -20 mins)of the centre, Diocletian's palace and main waterfront. There was an off street palking space. The flat was very quiet in a side street. Suzy was very friendly and helpful in giving directions and advice.” Dorinda, Salisbury |
