peaceful location but convenient to city,beautiful quiet beach,clear waters for swimming,access to sailing trips,intimate and friendly local eateries,very helpful staff

The family at Villa Doris were wonderful hosts. They made us feel welcome and looked after all our requirements without any hassle. The location of the Villa was ideal. A short walk to the beach and to the bus stop. The bus at the top of the road provides a frequent service into Dubrovnik and along the coast to Trsteno and Ston. A couple of restaurants close to the beach serving good food and an exceptional restaurant (Orsan) 10 mins walk away. We spent 3 weeks at Villa Doris, exploring the surrounding area, and would have stayed longer if we could.

Pick up some basic provisions on the way from the airport. The nearest shop is a 5 min bus ride away, so you could get caught out if arriving late. (Natasa, from Villa Doris, picked me up at the airport and stopped off at the supermarket.)

Very nice place. We spent most of the time there by nights after exploring Dubrovnik and surroundings. Calm, good people and comfortable!

Family run and helpful. Free internet access. We were given a lift to shop in supermarket at no charge which was very kind.

More suitable for guests with their own car/transport.

Very friendly and helpful host. The villa was very close to the beach. The apartment comes with a fridge and a cooker, this saved us a lot of money on restaurants. The terrace was wonderful, luxuriant vegetation and a very nice garden. Even on the hottest of days, staying on the terrace was very pleasant.

HHG2G tip: Bring your own towels, at least if you are staying for more than a couple of days. Considering this is a beach resort, you're probably bringing some towels along anyway.

Very Personal and Friendly, The family running Villa Doris Helped whenever possible and always went out of their way to help. It had local cafes/restaurants and the beach is very close and not overcrowded, The best holiday I have had so far. Thank You. may return one day

The restaurant on the beach was not very nice at all. The other two nearby were very good

This was an excellent establishment, in a wonderful location. For those with a car, it is only ten minutes from Dubrovnik

We loved the place, the persons and the facilities. the owners are very simple and polite persons, however the service is exellent.

L'emplacement à 10 minutes de Drubovnik et à 200 m d'une plage agréable ce qui permet de combiner visites et repos au bord de la plage. Notre apt. spacieux (No 3) était tranquille et isolé , ombragé par une ramille de vignes aux raisins bleus délicieux ! Beaucoup de parking et aisé. La plage est agréable et l'eau très claire. Idéal si vous avez une voiture où si ne voulez pas trop faire de courses ou sortir le soir. Desservi par le bus. Patron charmant et serviable.

Comme tous les apts. que bous avons loués en Croatie, la cuisine est mal équipée, si vous voulez faire plus que le petit déjeuner. Il y a peu de bons restos à proximité. Évitez à tout prix le resto Orsan ; une vraie arnaque, on y a fait notre plus mauvais repas en Croatie et aussi le plus cher, même leur vin maison est imbuvable. Allez plutôt à La Lanterna, plus près et moins cher, un resto modeste mais honnête. Enfin, Dubrovnik a été une déception, même en octobre c'est envahi par les touristes et les croisiéristes. C'est une destination brûlée, hélas, même si c'est beau. Il faut visiter très tôt le matin, avant 9h30 et en fin de journée. Idéal pour une visite en hiver, hors-saison des croisières.

Wir hatten einen netten kleinen Bungalow für uns. Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles machte einen sehr ordentlichen Eindruck.Die Fahrzeit nach Dubrovnik mit dem Auto dauerte 10 Minuten.
