Villa Four Winds  

La ubicación es excepcional y tiene unas vistas de Dubrovnik estupendas. La recepción por parte de Darko que fue muy amable y atento.

El lugar donde esta situado, la calle es muy tranquila nada de ruido. Y Darko el responsable del hotel es especialmente amable, es super simpatico.

No habia servicio de limpieza a diario sino cada dis dias. Es mejor que incrementen el precio en algunos euros mas pero que la habitacion este perfecta cada dia.

El apartamento estaba genial. La única pega las escaleras para llegar tanto al lugar como a la habitación pero nada fuera de lo normal en Croacia. El personal majisimo, encantador. Para repetir.

Modern design. Quiet street away from the main high street but close enough to walk within a few minutes. Bathroom lovely.

The lady who met us was very nice but she had a horrible body odur that hung around in the hall way, which wasnt pleasent. No other negatives.

Clean, well designed apartment with great views over the rooftops in a convenient location, and very friendly and helpful lady who showed us around!

I had the top room which had a fabulous view over the old town. The location was great, the room was very clean and nicely decorated, the bathroom was good and comfortable.

No water heater / cups, so no possibility to make tea or coffee in the morning. In the top room, the internet wasn't working properly, I had to go down some stairs and sit on the stairs to use the internet (in the other rooms it did work).

Everything. Even the 100+ steps going up (though charming Darko carried our luggage via the cheats way through the Buza Gate (do not enter via Pile Gate with luggage!). The room was very clean and comfortable with a nice decor and very lovely bathroom. Great location and views, with restaurants at nearly every landing. Just keep in mind STEPS STEPS AND STEPS. But they are part of the beauty and character of this magic medieval walled city. 'Donny' Darko, 'Phantom' Antun (only spoke with Antun), and Nada are very friendly and accommodating and will go out of their way to ensure a happy stay. We loved it. P.S. Must phone before arrival.

Nice clean modern room. Good position but you'd better be fit enough to tackle 100+ stairs per day! Make quite sure you only bring luggage in from the top. Nice friendly manager, but we only saw him when we came & when we left again. No "service" of any kind in between!

Not really a "Hotel", just 4 rooms in a building.If you needed anything you would have to phone the manager. No clean towels (or more soap) for 3 days. However we enjoyed our stay there, and there is a marvellous restuarant just up the stairs from the Hotel.

We had four couples who each had one of the rooms which worked really well. It is very well situated for touring the old town. The rooms were clean and well presented. The owners were easily available for answering questions and providing advice, both by email and phone from Croatia.

The house is at the top of many steps (as is common in Dubrovnik) so travelling light is essential. More obvious advice about coming in from the higher gate would be valuable as this saves walking up about 150 steep steps with luggage and gives some direction for peple arriving by taxi or bus (if the top gate is an option for the bus). Internally the rooms are accessed by steep stairway as well which may be critical for some guests to know. The rooms are not serviced while you stay there which was not an issue for us but could be for some travellers.

The view and the recent complete renovation

As the owner did not live on site and we did of have a mobile time was wasted waiting to get to room etc. Travelling to Dubrovnik by car is difficult and totally not recommended if you want to stay in the old own. The wifi was dodgy and suspect it has been for some time, The unit was nice and modern but very small. It would have been great to have some glasses, cups and spoons especially as there is no breakfast included. Small view over old own was nice. Darko was also nice to deal with overall.

The rooms are clean, modern, well air conditioned, and the bathroom is quite big. As with most hotels/appartments in the old town, the rooms are small, but it's no problem, you don't go to Dubrovnik to stay in your room anyway ;) When we arrived in the evening, one of the two owners was sitting outside waiting to welcome us.

Very clean modern compact apartment with a spacious bathroom. The owner was extremely friendly and helped us with our bags and transfer to the bus station and any information on the city.

There are a lot of steps down to the town from the apartment so wear comfortable shoes.

It was a nice room in the heart of old town dubrovnik. Very close to the centre. It was clean. we did not see the owners but there was a lady for helping you about towels etc.

The room is dark. Our room was not ready when we arrived. They could have mentioned this on the phone. other than that. everything is fine.

Our room at Villa Four Winds was absolutely lovely, really modern, but within an old building, very clean and super-cool air-con ( a must in the summer in Dubrovnic)! It's just a 5 minute walk down to the main Strada, although there are alot of steps, it's so pretty, you just take your time and stop for a breather! The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a fabulous base to explore this beautiful city.

Drako took the time to tell us about Dubrovnik which we really appreciated. The place was spotless and very comfortable! Would come back again and recommend to others as well.

Probably the best location in the old town. We recommend to book the room on the top floor. It was a big clean room and bathroom. You must like stairs though, but it's worth it!

The internet was not available in all the rooms (especially the top floors), which requires you to climb down a few stairs to come online.

We were met at the bus station by a guy called Darko, he could not have been more welcoming or friendly, helped us with our bags, got us safely to the apartment and showed us around. Gave us his contact details for any problems and a bit of local info and left us to enjoy our stay, even arranged our taxi to the airport with a discount and let us stay in the apartment a little longer than check out time as we had a late departure. Really could not have done more for us and went out of his way to help. The apartment is in a fantastic location in the Old Town, great place to get to the main square, walk the surrounding walls or hit the beach. It was modern, clean and light - we were on the top floor and had the most gorgeous view overlooking the rooftops of Dubrovnik.

Great location in old town, very clean and beautifully fitted out room with a/c and views of old town. Enjoyed a very comfortable stay there. Quite small but good for one or max two.

Finding the place and check in was a bit difficult. Basically a private apartment block set amongst many local residences. Need to ring ahead to be let in but didn't know this before hand and was locked out. The locals were really helpful and sorted it all out for me. The owner too, when he arrived, was very polite and helpful. Lots of steep steps to get to the place with heavy luggage but in retrospect that's Dubrovnik and it was all part of the experience.

The room was clean and brand new. Darko who checked me into tho hotel was very accomodating and helpful. Decor was lovely and good air conditioning was present. The facilities and bathroom were lovely. I would stay there again.

I didn't have a mobile phone so the check in process was a bit challenging as there is no dedicated person on site all the time. I had to ask a neighbour to call, but once this was done Darko came almost immediately. I would suggest either having your mobile and contact details or pre arrange a specific time in advance.

Perfect setting and perfect location. Situated on the "greenest" street in Dubrovnick. Good size bedroom and very good bathroom - all facilities were very clean and the room was cool even with the temperature at 30 degrees outside. There is air conditioning if needed though. Be warned the guest house is situated at the top of a very long flight of steps and even if approaching from the top of the stairs it is totally unsuitable for people with walking difficulties. Very good and friendly staff helped us with all our requests - I would recommed this guest house for anyone wanting to explore this wonderful city.

Very friendly staff, we had an after midnight arrival because our ferry was full and we had to wait 4 hours for the next one. They waited and even carried our heavy luggage trough the narrow streets and the steep stairs of Dubrovnik. He wouldn't even accept a tip! The location is excellent and the breakfest in the restaurant nearby (which he recommended) was excellent!

Excellent friendly staff who came to meet us at 2am from the bus station after our plane was diverted to Split and then had to take 5 hr coach transfer to Dubrovnik. Lovely designed room in the heart of Dubrovnik close to lots of bars/restaurants.Very comfortable bed and small fridge to keep drinks cold. Loved our climb up the steps and narrow street with lots of foilage every night.

Only thing missing was a hair dryer and possibly tea and coffee making facility.
