We spent 9 days at Villa Katarina from 2 to 9 of September. It was a splendid time - very hospitable and attentive to guests owner, clean, comfortable and good equipped room, lovely country yard. Villa Katarina is placed near by The Old Town of Dubrovnik (10-15 min on foot). There are also a lot of beaches and places for pleasant walks! Elena, Boris, Moscow

we booked a double room and got an free upgrade to an apartment, the apartment was spacious, nice bathroom, living room, bed room and a kitchen, everything was there, Kate heartly welcomed us with some juice and cake and she also brought us to the bus station when we left, just a 10 minute walk to the old town, foodmarket is close, apartment was in the basement of the house, so its not possible to get a view of the sea, because another house is built in front of the Villa Katharina it is overall not really possible to have a sea view,

We had a really nice stay at Villa Katarina. We stayed in a big apartment with 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom plus 1 toilet, a big kitchen, living room and a terrace with sea view. It was clean and comfortable. The owner was very nice, gave us maps and instructions on how to get to the old town (about 15 minutes walking) and her husband kindly took us to the bus station to help us with our luggage. Be careful with heavy luggage because there are some stairs to get to Villa Katarina. The street Srebrenska is a little bit hidden (you can only access to it walking through some stairs) but the owner was kind to wait us at the entrance of the street upon our arrival to help us to find the way. She also offered us a service of transfer from the airport for 35€ which was very handy considering that we’ve arrived late night.

we liked the room very much. it is clean and has enough stuff to stay. there is also table in the garden for each room. the lady is also really lovely and kind, she thought eveything that we could need. the old town is a 10 minutes walking distance, that s another good thing about the place. i would certainlt stay here again.

The owner was very friendly, and very helpful, finding out the local bus timetable and quick routes to the old town. The apartment is quite quirky and a bit old-fashioned but I really liked that. It was clean, the air con worked really well and the bed was comfy. It's located in a little vegetable patch / rose garden which is nice, too. I'd definitely recommend it as a cheap place to stay in Dubrovnik, which is usually quite overpriced.

Villa Katarina's location is good. About ten/fifteen minutes walk from the old town in Dubrovnik, and in a quiet area. Katarina is very friendly and helpful, and our room was comfortable and very clean. The air conditioning is excellent, and although this is very much a room within the family house, we had 24 access with our own outer door, so didn't feel we were intruding by coming in late. The room was simple, double bed, wardrobe, fridge and en-suite, but had everything we needed for a couple of nights, and was very clean. Not so much a dislike, as simply worth mentioning to other travelers. The set-up of this apartment is basically a double room with en-suite in the family's house - with a door straight on to the garden so you don't have to go through the house to get to your room and can come and go as you please. There is however an inner door into the house, which was locked but not very well sound proofed, so things got a bit noisy in the mornings when the kids woke up. There is also quite a lot of evidence that it is a family's room in the amount of personal stuff laying around - boxes of stuff on top of the wardrobes, cupboards in the room obviously used for storing stuff and even some wardrobe doors chained locked, so obviously used for storage. It's not in any way intrusive, but alongside the slight noise from the house, it does make the room feel a little less private.

The host, Kate was very nice to us. She gave us fresh grapes upon our arrival on a hot September day. Nice room with fridge. Bathroom was spacious. Nothing to complain at all. Her husband was really helpful in carrying our bags to his car as we asked them to take us to the airport (of course at a fee). Would recommend this place. There are a few but managable steps to reach the main door, certainly fewer steps that it would have been had we stayed in the old town of Dubrovnik.
