Very helpful and very informative staff. Food was excellent and very accommodating for our diatry needs.stayed in the quad room which was spacious for the 2 of us. Ideal location for walkers , as we walked from villa through forests to entrance to national park . Loved it.
Great service and personalized care
Nothing...everything was great
The wonderful welcome & warm, helpful staff. Enjoying a wine whilst chatting with the girls & 'mine host' preparing dinner in the patio kitchen on a beautiful evening. Rooms had all you need - small but fine. Dinner - terrific genuine Croatian food!!
Finding it can be tricky. Choose to take the car to the lakes carpark. You can walk, but it's all uphill after hours around the beautiful lakes. Not a problem though.
It has a good location to go to plitvice national park. The staff was very kind and helpful. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. It was very comfortable stay. Thank you.
Food was great, best food we had on our trip, produce bought from markets around area and meals were home cooked.friendly staff very generous with their time, Helena couldn't help you enough :) Short walk to lakes. Good amount of English speaking channels on TV. Lots of food and drink for breakfast.. A Suggestion to set most of it up on a main table for people to help themselves to as felt bad for wasting it :/
Arriving was a bit confronting as we weren't sure if we were in the right place..felt like we were walking into someone's private residence.but once checked in was all good. Shower head was set too low in room 2. Room was a little noisy as near front reception area.
Dinner and breakfast were substantial and really set us up for a day of walking.
No mention of using spa facilities - felt awkward to ask.
The dinner is a MUST, food was excellent!! Maria, Helena & Vlado are the sweetest people who give the best attention to detail to their B&B.
Near trail leading to the lakes. Recommend getting the dinner with the room, it was wonderful! Very quiet.
Excellent dinner and great hospitality. Highly recommend to sign-up for dinner.
You have to walk in the woods for 10 min up hill from the national park. Though it is a beautiful pathway, after long walk in the park, that was a bit challenging.
The location is the biggest asset of Villa Mukinja. We liked being able to walk from the Villa to the park. The breakfasts were good and they accommodated our food request--no problems. It was also nice to have the option of the 1/2 board meal in the evening.
Some tiles were missing off the front step which upon first arrival we felt made it appear unkept. It does have a Hot Tub (as advertised) but the water was cool--not normal for a Hot Tub. (too cool for us to go into the tub)
dinner and breakfast were really nice. large meals!
From the minute we arrived, the staff made every effort to take care of us. After a long drive, all we wanted was a cold beer, which they immediately served in their garden. We had a huge and delicious dinner in their dining room, as well as breakfast the next morning. The owner spent time showing us where to visit in the park, and gave us some tips that made our stay much easier. Highly recommended.
Perfect host - Owner Valdo. Comfortable taxi ride from Zagreb, thanks to his son Tihomir. Superb Location. Superstar Chef Helena. Best Food ever. Very Kind and always willing to help Ivana. Birthday Cake & Drop off to the nearest bus stop - Kind Courtey of the House. NP Plitvice & Villa Mukinja deserves many more visits...Thank you ever so much!
Excellent hospitality Great croatian food Strong wifi Sublime location
The two young ladies who do most of the work are so helpful, and very pleasant to talk to (Helena and Ivana sorry if I spelt it wrong). Meals and breakfast were very worth the extra and the amount you get is to feed a king. We sued the hot tub and the sauna. The location is also superb , just near the national park if splitvecka. The owner was also very helpful to us.
it was all good. Thanks to the owner and the two young ladies
Friendly staff, nice dinner
The location is perfect if you go by car, then its only a 10 minute drive to entance 2 from the plitvice lakes. The room was ok, but small. I wouldnt stay there longer then 1 night. We couldnt try the jacuzzi, because it was raining.
Please be warned; there are not much restaurants in the neighbourhood. If you choose to have diner in villa mukinj, you can expect a fish with the tale and head. We were quite shocked, but after all it was very tasty! To be honest, the price was too high for diner.
Top floor room where the slope of the roof made one side of the double bed unusable. Single beds a little better. Parking is in an unsurfaced vacant patch of ground out the front gate
The Jacuzzi. A 10 minutes walk to the park entrance. Great breakfast, Nice hosts.
Room a bit small for 3 people. Cash payment. Wine price (for dinner).
The weather was terrible so it was fortunate that we booked into Villa Mukinja and could take advantage of the sauna and beautiful meal prepared by the staff.
Friendly staff and lovely food
Excellent, helpful staff. Went above and beyond to satisfy our needs. Even shopped for special ingredients for a traveler with dietary restrictions.
Had to make a last minute run to the bank for cash only payment for the rooms and food.
The host picked us up from the bus stop, they made us feel really welcome. The traditional food was excellent. The hotel is in a great location, about 10/15 minute walk to the national park and the outdoor jacuzzi was a great addition after a long trek. I would definitely recommend!
Helena, the incredible young lady who greeted us, explained what was available and prepared the most delectable dinner. Her knowledge and love of everything local was enchanting.
No credit card facilities! Despite securing the accommodation with your credit card you cant actually pay with a credit card?? There wasn't a sign (well not that we could see) warning you of this either. So you find yourself in an extremely embarrassing situation because not many people carry that level of cash on them. Furthermore, when my husband offered to go to a nearby ATM machine the extremely curt owner, (who only ever introduced himself as"Im the boss"), told my husband that he couldn't go because there was no reason for him to return to the hotel to pay the bill. My husband was horrified! Eventually "the boss" drove with us to the ATM to get his money! This man should not be in the tourism or service industry.
The room was big, picturesque setting. Breakfast was good.
The front door was locked one evening and we couldn't get in. It's faraway from bus stop. Wouldn't recommend if you take bus and have a lot of luggage
