Villa Town Gate  

Host was amazing, so helpful & hospitable! Rooms were spcaious & clean, air con worked a treat (greatly needed!), and in a very central location - perfect! Will visit again!

Only minor, but unfortunately no bathroom amenities were provided such as soap, small bottles shampoo & conditioner.

Location, location, location. Also clean. We would recommend this place on account of its brilliant location, just be prepared to eat out!

Excellent location. Despite all the cafes and human traffic below, the room was well soundproofed.

Location - right in the centre of Hvar Town. Step outside door to restaurant and very easy access to many other eateries in the town. Easy walk from ferry to Villa. It was perfect for a short stay in Hvar.

The location of Villa Town Gate makes this a great choice but do not be mislead thinking this is a hotel. These are rooms right in the centre of hvar town so those looking for an hotel experience could be disappointed. However the two rooms that we bookded were all adequately equpped, very clean and the beds are really comfortable. And you are steps away from a great selection of restuarants and the harbour. Again there is a downside to this as there was some noise but as we were only there for a couple of nights it added to the atmosphere. In the room there was some really useful information provided about Hvar Town and we took up a number of their recommendations which were great. So an ideal base for exploring Hvar town and we would definitely go back to Villa Town Gate. We found some great beaches a short taxi boat away and you should check out Hoola Hoola Beach along from the harbour.

We liked the location and the service. Our room was very small but quiet and ample for what we needed.

Can be a bit noisy, but I think this is par for the course in Hvar with lots of people staying out late to socialise.

The Villa Town Gate is as its name suggests near the town gate in Hvar. If you find the information office on the main square, you can get easy directions to Villa Town Gate. Rooms and baths were comfortable. A separate lounging area with tv, sofa, and refrigerator was also useful. Good space for four people. Location was the very best aspect of Villa Town Gate. Interesting shops and several excellent restaurants were located on the lanes adjacent to this apartment. This feature was mentioned on Bookings.Com. There was, however, no information on restaurants or other features of Hvar on display in the reception area beneath the three levels of apartments.

We were fortunate enough to intercept the manager just as she was leaving at 12:30 pm. We we exhausted from our morning travels from Split, and the manager allowed us to check in early. This was entirely good luck, though. Had we missed her, we would have been out in the street waiting until assistance was available. There is no sitting area. There is only a very small vestibule downstairs--not much more than a table beside the entry door. This table is staffed only from 1300 to 1600 (or maybe that was 1300 to 1800) daily. No business computer or wifi was available, no check-in desk, and no restaurant information, ferry schedules, or the like.

The manager of Villa Town Gate was very friendly and helpful. Before our trip she emailed us with details of how to get to the hotel, which ferry and bus etc. which we wouldnt have known otherwise. She met us getting off the bus even though it was 11pm to show us through the square to the hotel. When we arrived we were upgraded as it wasn't busy and we were staying for a week. Location was absolutely perfect.

Villa Town Gate liegt in der Altstadt, in den Gassen davor und dahinter sind gute Lokale zu finden, zum Hafen wo die Taxi Boote warten zum Übersetzen auf die Badeinseln geht man 3 min. War so ganz in Ordnung.
