The location couldn't be beat! And there were 2 bathrooms as well as a living area, so my little family could spread out. I wish the bedding and towels had been of better quality. If the beds had had nicer looking duvets, etc... It would have made a nice impression when we first walked in. Maybe then I would have felt like it was better value for the money. |

We liked visiting the city of Hvar and thought it was fun to have a room right on one of the quaint side streets. Our rooms window looked out at the picturesque remains of Leporini Palace. On the street below was a restaurant with the same or similar name. Our room was on a busy alley with people coming and going all day and all night. In our room we could here people until late in the evening enjoying themselves in the restaurant below and you are very close to the town square which is also filled with people throughout the evening. If you must have quiet, the street rooms are not for you, but there are others in the back of the building which are probably quieter. We felt all the street noise and the sounds of people having a good time -- just fun -- even at night. There is no manager on site, and we did not know this so when we got there we had not called ahead to identify a specific time of arrival. We waited a long time for someone to show up and then it was the cleaning lady who saw us waiting and called the manager to come and check us in -- we did not have cell phones with us and we unfamiliar with how to call people in Croatia anyhow -- so it was a bit awkward. |

Right in the center of Hvar Town - right off the main square. Beautiful area. The smaller apartment was a little small - but very nice otherwise. |

Excellent location which is small but perfect for Hvar. The staff were very helpful and we greatly appreciated our luggage being taken up the stairs as it would have been impossible for us. A bit shabby and could do with brightening up. |

Location is fabulous. Great apartment just off the main square. Lovely lady waiting for us and they let us have a delayed departure, so we could leave by ferry. We loved Hvar. Pricey, but location worth it. Needed to pay cash. |

Very nice location, in the middle of the town close to nice restaurants and the harbour area in Hvar Town. Mind the steps !, hard to carry big bags in the narrow stairs. |

Hotel Manager very helpful, came & met us down at the marina as we were unsure of where to go, also let us in the room early to leave our bags. Hotel is in a superb location just off the main Square & the marina. The room although basic was very clean & modern and was excellent for the price. Room & bathroom not huge, so if your staying longer than just a couple of nights, it may not be suitable for some ....but we were only there for a night so did its job perfectely. Theres not a proper reception area either but in our case the Manager always seemed contactable and was possible to store ours bags after we checked out. |

This hotel is very over priced for what it is. We did not enjoy our stay here one bit. The description of the hotel does not reflect the real thing. Poor, poor, and very poor again! Terrible value for money. Would not recommend anyone to stay here! It ruined what should have been a great experience! |

The location of Villa Town Gate (right by the main Square of Hvar town) was excellent. To our very positive surprise the room had an air con which is a necessity in the climate. The room was clean and cosy, an had a fridge which was quite handy. The 'hotel' is very basic with no facilities whatsoever apart from the rooms. There's no reception desk or full-time staff, just the general manager who comes to the hotel for a couple of hours every day. |

The building cannot get any closer to the center. Old building is nicely refurbished. Hvar was so nice we extended our stay for 1 night. Hotel staff responded on a short notice. Some kind of breakfast would be nice for this price. No TV in room. No elevator and narrow stairs. Small rooms. |

Excellent location (about 20 steps to the main square) and an extremely clean and spacious room. We had the two bedroom with two bathrooms and a small living room. It also had a fridge which was very handy to keep cool drinks in as the weather was amazing and hot. |

Great location, near town square but in the same time quite during the night. Helpful staff, great advices written in the room- directories. Liked the fact it is a small and quite Villa, not the classical hotel. I recommend it for young people. |
