Villa Triana    

That is was right next to the sea.

I asked to have a seaside view and was disappointed as it was on the side of the building. The view could be seen but only if you were standing up in the corner of the balcony. I asked for the room that faces the sea, unfortunately it was not available due to painting. The next day the painting was complete and they let other guests move to this room. It would have been nice if she offered this to me since I arrived before these other guests and I was celebrating my birthday. I think the villa is geared toward couples only. My other complaint is: I emailed the Villa a week out and asked if they would set up a tour for me. She said no problem we can do this. When I arrived late Friday she said we can discuss all in the morning. Well, nothing had been prior set up and the first day I spent walking around waiting for her to call me about this tour. She never called and my day was wasted, I only had three days to do all. She had Sunday tour planned for me and it was very nice. Although; once again on Monday I waited for her call again and nothing ever happened. I suggest you have all planned out on your own don’t rely on them. Stay in a regular hotel if you are traveling solo. My flight was not until later Monday and they kept my luggage but they won’t let you use a bathroom once checked out. That was annoying; I had to walk down to a bar to use the bathroom.

Helpful staff advised us on parking, transport to the city and restaurants - the one recommended was excellent. Quite location with little traffic.

Curtains let in too much light. Mosquitoes in the room were unpleasant and no insect spray was available. Toilet paper was a bit abrasive. Shower did not have a strong water flow.

we booked a room with balcony and we got a room in the cellar, no balcony, very dark and very small size of the room. Bathroom was without a shower but there was a whirlpool which was very old and did not work. 2 Damaged lamps in the bathroom, TV (miniformat) not working, no refrigerator or minibar, there was even not a single glas in the room.when I asked the landlady to give us 2 glasses she was wondering, because for them it is ok that there is no drinkingglas in the room. It was very strange when we complaint next morning and the receptionist even tryed to take our passports from us.So we never will come back to this so called hotel and we cannot recommend it.

The pictures on internet are much better then it actually looks like.

The room was large and clean. Had a great view and the pool was spotless.

It was too from zadar. We were asked only to pay in cash and since we were a long way from a bank this was difficult. It was difficult to find assistance and had several flights of stairs to carry our luggage up. Car park space was charged for.

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Triana. Comfortable room and friendly staff. Location very good as right on beach and handy to get into old Zadar.

Tea facilities in the bedroom would have been good.

Busstop to the city very close, good connection with the city center. Very friendly staff. Possibility to do excursions to National Parcs or Islands.Pool and terrace are nice, the sea is very close.

We were very disappointed. Website pics made it look better than it truly is. The white bedspread and shams were dirty, pillows were old and smelly. Light fixtures without shades. The shower walls were molded. Ants were everywhere. The part-time staff was not helpful or knowledgeable.

The Breakfast in the garden is awesome, mainly the fact that u choose what to eat. The pool next to the sea it is great, and the area has a good quantity of restaurant. The service was really helpful and everything worked fine

Hard Parking, Some rooms ( the Downer ones) really warm, and its impossible to be used. Hotel is really far from the old city.

Location on beach and a big deck were redeeming qualities.

Pay parking with difficult access. Room reserved was not available when we arrived. Kitchenette was very limited in supplies. Poor TV service connection.

Fantastic room and view. Go for the superior rooms! Staff working there is very polite and helpful, couldnt have chose a better place to stay in Zadar. /Mathias&Caroline

Rooms were lovely and clean, ensuite with big wardrobe, and little fridge inside. Air conditioner was saving our lives since it was 38 degrees outside. We have originaly booked standard room but upon the arrival they have offered us upgraded room with balcony (for no extra charge) since it was available for days of our stay. We had look at the both rooms, standard room was huge and lovely decorated but it was on the ground floor and facing the parking lot so we decided to take room with the balcony onn a top floor. It was nicely decorated as well but a bit smaller, but balcony had a seaview and we were happy enough. Lot of bars and restaurants within walking distance, atm and little supermarket are just et the corner just like a bus stop. Great for lovely walks in the moonlight all along the coast.

Insects - everywhere. Not too bad for insect lovers, even I wasn't bothered a lot, but my boyfriend was sleeping and woke up in the middle of the night and spider was climbing up his leg (it was fun since he tought it was me..what a surprise). Even though we didn't leave any food around, some ants have occupied room and the balcony, mosquitos were flying around. Another thing was that the room was originaly twin, with 2 separate beds, which were put together to a double. I've seen it in a lot of other hotels too, and I still don't like it, most of the times I end up sleeping in between the 2 beds, not so comfortable. Villa has a lovely pool but most of the time it was occupied buy kids, so I guess it is more appropriate for the families than young couples as we are. Villa has a seaview and it is located on the beach..but if you expect a sandy beach you will be disappointed. Rocks and pebbles, and looks a bit wild although it seems to be full with people all day long. Good thing is that sea seems to be very clear. And the last thing.. Villa and the pool seem so much bigger on the photos.

The view of the room balcony is fantastic. The beach is ok also. But the location is hard to find. The staff? Doesn't even exist. They don't give you a dam. The ower never says hello to anyone. They don't clean the room. It is supposed to be and "apartmani", with a little kitchen and all its stuff, but doesn't have a frigo bar neigther a micro waves.

The location is off the main track, but on the water in Zadar, Croatia. Nice pool and patio, but the management is problematic, the remodel was done by an idiot, and maintenance is absent.

The owner was absent while we were there, but the receptionist tried to fill in all the details. I made the reservation weeks in advance, but when I tried to change them. The owner demanded I pay for the entire reservation not just the time of stay. The room was so dusty, it was hard to breath. The shower was useless due to the small size and no way to hang the shower head. The included breakfast was prepackaged food, cold meat and cheese. They charge extra for parking and the city tax which had to be paid in cash.

Staff did not communicate. On arrival our names were on a piece of paper together with a key. From then on everything was NO, Private. No pets allowed but owner has a dog that barks the whole day. I was given a room with a sea view but could only see the see around a corner.

Friendly and helpful managers. Very comfortable appartments with lovely pool, right on the beach.

This is a fairly new facility and in excellent condition. The room was small however not inexpensive. We had to travel some distance by City Bus to a more remote part of the City to access the Villa. The name implies more than is delivered. Restaurants are within walking distance. This is a beach front property however, the pool is unheated and therefore not useable in the off season. This property is not best suited for backpackers due to the distance from City Center. We found the young staff member at the front counter to be most helpful and very pleasant.

There were no towel racks in the bathroom.

This is a fantastic hotell,spotlessly clean and positioned almost on the beach.Great staff always wanting to help whenever needed.Super value for money.

We really missed having a small fridge in our room.

I think the pictures same one thing and then when you see the reality it says another. Thankfully for this hotel, it is truly one of the most comfortable, convenient, friendly, and affordable places you could stay at either solo or with a family. The beds were better than our own at home. Noise level is nil in the neighborhood! In essence, We were blown away by the peace and safety we felt staying in Croatia. My children (10 et 11yrs) kept saying how much they liked it and wanted to stay longer. The food is so tastey (roast lamb and pork are favorites there). I can't say enough about our trip and our accomodations. Croatia is absolute pleasure and Villa Triana is very satisfiying.

Not much to say, except maybe the bathroom needs to be updated...toliet was a bit shakey. Water takes awhile to drain from the tub and it's abit crowded with the large water heater on the wall and no place for the shower head to hang from. This didn't really bother us as much because living in Belgium, we've seen rather difficult arrangements with outdated bathrooms.

The location was at the edge of town in a quiet neighborhood. The house sat at the edge of the water with a pool and a patio and balcony from the rooms. Parking was on the right street and not at the location but it was fine-1 minute walk. We were in a nice 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchenette but it didn't have a sitting room but that was fine because we only had breakfast and took off for the day. 5 minutes drive to the old town center. A car was necessary, public parking was readily available. The staff was helpful and very pleasant.

They were painting the front of the house and so we really didn't have access to the balcony or the pool area but it was still cool and we understand that..it's off season when these repairs need to be done. It might have been nice to know this in advance or be given a discount for low season. The house was very well kept up and had a beautiful view of the coastlline. Be sure to have a navi or mapquest a map..it was a little hard to find until we were oriented but then had no problems just using a map-gas station attendants were very knowlegable and helpful.

It was amazing time there - we were really happy, enjoyed the top level of the hospitality and kindness! Many thanks to the hostess -Triana and her smile, attitude, suggestions and helpness we will keep in our sweet memories! We are pleased to recommend this hotel further and wishing the best season ever!
