Villa Triana

When we first arrived we were put into a small room in an attic/loft with a shared kitchen and bathroom. The room had a semi-obstructed ocean view with a small balcony. I had reserved a studio but figured that maybe studio meant something else in Croatia. At 11:15 at night the reception girl came to the room and said she had made a mistake and that she needed us to move to our actual room. This room was a studio but it had no view, sat directly on a busy street and was beneath the owner's quarters who were up and making noise until late at night. Although the house is on the water, all the 'sites' of Zadar are so far that you have to drive and then pay for parking. Directions from the staff were not helpful in finding the place and parking was inconvenient. It was so bad and there was so little to do that we didn't bother staying the second night and instead drove to Split first thing in the morning.

Location was great views of sunset amazing, everything close at hand supermarket,bar,bus,tourist info plus it was possible to take a long walk into Zadar

Very comfortable. Nice view. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Comfortable, excellent location, well-equiped garden and right by the sea. Triana was very helpful.

Mosquitos

It is close to the beach. The owner was very nice. Services were quite close.

The wireless network did not work properly, best connection was in bathroom while you were standing.You could not pay by Visa. My room was in first floor next to the road, had difficulties to sleep.

Visiting the sites of Zadar was easy to do and the villa offered a variety of advice about the sites and the local restaurants.

it is quite a way from the bus station - cost $25AUD for a taxi - though the bus is only $2AUD. Not sure if this was clear during booking. I certainly missed it.

Staff was giving as many proposals of trips,tours,cruises.

Bathroom wasn't the best.

The hotel was clean value for money with in walking distance of the city. Owner was very friendly and provided information on the area and attractions on offer plus was able to arrange day trips and food.

The villa lacked hanging space for clothes and a kettle would have been handy in the room.

This Villa is kept immaculate. We had a room at the top, in the roof, facing the sea - fantastic view (probably 150 miles of coastline and faces west for a perfect sunset) The room was large with one double and two single beds (could sleep four) these were to the sides behind curtained areas.

At this time (April 2009) there is council work going on at the bottom of the garden. This is to improve the public footpath along the sea front. Therefore there is heavy plant machinery working from 0730 hours on week days, which is noisy. Hopefully this will have finished within a few weeks to a month and peace will be reinstated!! Otherwise this room would be very quiet indeed.

It was a lovely area near Zadar and the room was mostly pleasant.

Manager failed to inform us that there would be building works going on in the villa while we were staying there. These continued from 8am to 7pm on two days of our 5 night stay (they were not every day because of rain) and were incredibly loud and all around our apartment.
