Villa Varoš  

Great location, walking distance to sights of Split. Lots of restaurants, small supermarket and laundromat in close proximity. Room had free wifi and good air conditioner. Make sure you locate the villa on a city map prior to your stay as it is located among small alleys.The lady at reception was most helpful with advice and directions.

Location, but p[arking the car was expensive

Location was very good.We took the bus from Dubrovnik to Split. With luggage we were able to walk to the hotel from the bus station ( about 10 minute walk).Hotel is very near all major attractions in Split.You can also walk easily to the ferry terminal.There are many restaurants/bars within a 2-5 minute walk. Hotel room was very nice and clean.The owner Joanne was very nice-provided us with useful tips and a nice cup of coffee in the morning.Allowed us to store our luggage beyond check out time.

When we arrived at the hotel on a Friday night around 7 pm there was no one there and door was locked.There was a sign on the door saying "will be back in 15 minutes".We went for a drink and came back 45 minutes later- still no one there.There was a phone number-we got in touch with owners son who apologized-he was there in 10 minutes.He offered us a free breakfast the next morning for the inconvenience.

Room was clean but small. Location was good, at the west end of the Riva. Restaurants very close by. Based on our experience of staying in Sobes in Croatia: they are similar to quaint British B&Bs but without the quaintness and without the breakfast ;-)...just a small clean room.

We had the Double Comfort Suit which was excellent for myself, husband and baby daughter. The apartment was very spacious and clean with a lovely roof top terrace. It was perfect for a couple with a small child as we could put our baby to bed and enjoy a drink on the terrace. It was much bigger and better than we'd expected. It was also in an excellent location being only 2 mins walk from the old town of Split.

Bathrooms were modern and rooms were clean. Great aircon too.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised how new and clean everything felt, especially after living on a boat for 6 nights. I would highly recommend these villas.

The only bad bit is that the shower head is not attached up high in the shower so to wash your hair you must hold the shower

Our host was very welcoming and accomodating. Joanne went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. The room was very clean & furnished beautifully. The hotel is centrally located, a few minutes walk to the palace and harbour.

Villa Varos is very close to everything in Split incl the Old Town and was only a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal. Joanne and her team were very welcoming and helpful, making arrangements to get us to the airport the following day. Free wireless was a bonus. Feels like staying with the locals because of it's location up a side street just away from the main hustle and bustle

No breakfast option and the room whilst being very comfortable, was quite small and looked out onto pretty much another wall. It was tricky to find and were a bit surprised by the amount of graffiti in the street where it's located but this seems to be a wider problem in Split. Value for money-wise, we had much better in Croatia but like Dubrovnik, Split is pretty expensive so locally probably quite reasonable.

This hotel is very close to the waterfront and promenade in the "old town" area of Split, which is where all the action is! It is close to the ACI marina and ideal for people doing a yacht charter from Split. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Lots of good restaurants nearby.
