Villa Varos  

We had the Double Comfort Suit which was excellent for myself, husband and baby daughter. The apartment was very spacious and clean with a lovely roof top terrace. It was perfect for a couple with a small child as we could put our baby to bed and enjoy a drink on the terrace. It was much bigger and better than we'd expected. It was also in an excellent location being only 2 mins walk from the old town of Split.

Location, but p[arking the car was expensive

Location was very good.We took the bus from Dubrovnik to Split. With luggage we were able to walk to the hotel from the bus station ( about 10 minute walk).Hotel is very near all major attractions in Split.You can also walk easily to the ferry terminal.There are many restaurants/bars within a 2-5 minute walk. Hotel room was very nice and clean.The owner Joanne was very nice-provided us with useful tips and a nice cup of coffee in the morning.Allowed us to store our luggage beyond check out time.

When we arrived at the hotel on a Friday night around 7 pm there was no one there and door was locked.There was a sign on the door saying "will be back in 15 minutes".We went for a drink and came back 45 minutes later- still no one there.There was a phone number-we got in touch with owners son who apologized-he was there in 10 minutes.He offered us a free breakfast the next morning for the inconvenience.

Room was clean but small. Location was good, at the west end of the Riva. Restaurants very close by. Based on our experience of staying in Sobes in Croatia: they are similar to quaint British B&Bs but without the quaintness and without the breakfast ;-)...just a small clean room.

A really lovely room, big bathroom and 2 minutes from the harbour, shops, old city and everything else!

Location is really good, everything in the city can be reached by a short walk. The owner / manager of the hotel was really friendly and helpful, she gave us an explanation of various things to do and see and places to eat in Split. The room was really tidy.

The AC was maybe too powerful for the room, it was either too cold or too hot all the time.

Bathrooms were modern and rooms were clean. Great aircon too.

Villa Varos was wonderful from top to bottom. Joanne is friendly and helpful. Our room was fabulous - very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was amazing, as was the location. I highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in four hotels while traveling in Croatia, and Villa Varos was the best of the four.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised how new and clean everything felt, especially after living on a boat for 6 nights. I would highly recommend these villas.

Large room with grest facilities & very clean & comfortable. Closeness to city. Friendlyness of staff & early check in.

Shower head could not hang up on wall- had to hold it yourself

The property is very central, there are lots of restaurants and cafes close and it is just back from the waterfront. It has recently been refurbished and is very clean and comfortable. Very easy to get to from the bus terminal and the port. Great response from staff

It would have been good to have a fridge and an electric jug

So handy- only 2 mins walk from the main promenade and the Dioceletan Palace. Hotel v helpful re navigation and trips. Room small but perfectly clean and ideal for a 4 night stay-recommended.
