The hotel is less than five minutes walk to the Old Town and Diocletian's Palace. Great access to the waterfront, bus station, cafes, markets made it an ideal place to see Split. |

The accommodation hotel was ideal and comfortable for our stay with convenient services close at hand. This was a second period of residence for us and we were not disappointed. As per our previous comment re the access to the room via stairs but this was understandable.. |

We liked the location close to the old town. We drove into Split in a hire car and were having trouble locating the villa despite the fact we had a gps in the car. We tried phoning the owner 3 times and received no return call. A taxi driver programmed the closest hotel into the gps for us and we were able to locate the villa with the help of a very kind local resident. When we arrived at the front door of the villa it was locked so we phoned the number on the door and a young man told us to wait - he would be there in 5 minutes which he was. The room was small and very basic which was ok because we don't spend a lot of time in our hotel rooms but I have to say that it was a depressing colour (superfluous I know but I have to mention it). |

The Villa Varos was ideally located to the City of Split and was in close proximity to the Restaurants; Laundrette, convenience store and train bus and cruise services. As would be the case with most budget accommodation only hotels the flights of stairs to the accommodation arease of the Hotel made luggage handling difficult. |

Convenience. It was located close to the tourist area. Good facilities, restaurants close at hand. Evening staff not very helpful about parking |

Conveniently located for the centre of Split and for local restaurants. 10 minute walk to bus station and ferry port. Despite phoning ahead and advising of a late arrival, reception was closed and we had to call a mobile to be admitted. A double comfort room had been reserved but we were given a standard room. The price was reduced when pointed out. |

it was in an extremely convenient location, and reasonably priced. the staff was helpful, when they were around. parking was awful, the staff - while friendly - was frequently missing. |

Location and cleanliness; good shower also. it was very bland and boring - i would not have wanted to spend more than one night there. Also they had left windows open all day and there was no mosquito net on the bed so I was bitten several times. |

We stayed here on our honeymoon and were pleasantly surprised to have a bottle of wine and box of chocolates in our room when we arrived. What a treat! We were impressed by the personable service and how they went out of their way to do this for us! |

The hotel was in the old town at one end of the promenade with close proximity to restaurants, beaches, the port, railway station and bus station. The room we were allocated did not have shutters and very light curtains. Consequently we had to hang our beach towels over the window to block out light coming from a neighbours balcony which was only about 6 feet away. |

The staff really made our stay special and couldnt be more helpful. The apartment was great with plenty of space and facilities and very near to the main tourist attractions and ferry / train stations. Theres quite a lot of stairs for getting luggage up but the staff were very happy to take them up. |

Rude staff on reception that were unhelpful and did not offer to help with bags even though he was a six foot strong man and i'm a 5ft little woman. Also asked them to book us a taxi to go home at 7.30am which did not turn up. The office does not open till 8am so no one to help. Luckily we got one on the street but it cost us more money and we nearly missed our flight. I would not recommend this villa! Everywhere else we stayed in Croatia was lovely except this place. |
