Luke, the property manager was very informative and committed to his work, very friendly and always ready to help. I hope the property owners appreciate his hard work and tell him so.
The staff (Luka) was very helpful. We arrived late in the night and he waited for us because finding the villa was tricky. The beds are good and the kitchen is equipped for the basic needs. The view from the terrace of the room is very nice.
The access to the beach close to the villa is very difficult because of the numerous stairs and rocks. The road from the villa to the main road is very steep therefore the access by either car or foot is very difficult. It is a very good exercise for people in their thirties.
Everything of this Villa is perfect. Location, right on a nice private beach, close to Dubrovnik. Room is very spacious, amazing view, a wonderful vocation home. The manager Luke is very helpful, told us everything you need to know.
Just the wifi a bit slow.
Large and very solid balcony with no noise disturbance from other guest rooms; you only hear the sea. Room and facilities ( eg. washing machine and drier ) v good. lukas, manager excellent chap. Always around if you need anything. A bus stop at road above, connecting to for example Dubrovnik or the main town. Walking to this Haltestelle, however, see " didn`t like " description.
Guest accommodation building with parking spaces is located far beneath main road above. Very steep descent by car. If one has poor nerves bzw. poor Auto this could be a problem..Alternatively to walk up and down is tiring, ( mühsam ), though this depends on one`s level of bodily fitness. if you are no longer young and fit this is not for you; one has also a fair up/down way to the beach below.
Villa Voga is a gem tucked away in the Dubrovnik Rivieria area. We were welcomed right away by the Villa's manager, Luke, who was very helpful during our 2 night stay. The room takes your breath away, with it's exceptional view and sounds of the sea. The property was immaculate, including our bedroom. The location is a welcome escape from the bustling Old Town of Dubrovnik, and we especially enjoyed the short walk (2 min.) to the nearly private beach beside the property ( a rare find in the area). It was an easy drive from the airport in our rental car, and a perfect spot to explore many of the seaside towns and the Konavle valley nearby. I would definitely recommend Villa Voga to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
The location is perfect, you have a jaw-dropping view from any of the rooms - just the sea. You fall asleep at night at the sound of the waves. The kitchen has everything you will need for two persons. Having breakfast on the balcony with a view on the sea is unparalleled. Loved it, only regret was that we didn't stay more than one weekend. Words of caution: You need a car to get there - or you can call Luka and he will fix it for you. The road down is steep, but nothing to worry about. Just be careful and all will be well.
For elder people: Going up and down the stairs might be cumbersome. Plus to get to the little private beach there is another set of stairs (at least 15m height difference).
Excellent facilities, beautiful view, spacious rooms with own terrace, great host
Steep drive down to the Villa
The balcony view The room The beach near by
The guy that takes care of the place is a bit complicated with the timetables of arriving and departure
In a fabulous location with amazing views over the Adriatic, Villa Voga has a lovely little beach 5 minutes walk away and a little cove 2 minutes walk away. There was excellent snorkelling at the beach and it's also nicely secluded, surrounded by vegetation and fruit trees. It's also a good spot for exploring Dubrovnik (around 15 minutes drive away) and it's close to the airport (around 15 minutes drive away). The apartment itself is very comfortable and incredibly spacious, with air conditioning in nearly all rooms, and furnished with all mod cons. We felt like we were in a James Bond movie, it's amazing! It has beautiful views across the Adriatic. Luksa, who looks after the place, was very friendly and helpful and communications were excellent throughout. I loved sitting on the balcony at night, listening to the sea and looking at the amazing sky and shooting stars in the lovely warm breeze. It's pretty child friendly with lots of space. A lovely spot away from the hustle and bustle. There's a really nice bistro restaurant 10 minutes walk up the hill, which is no frills but serves lovely food.
The private road down to the apartment is very steep and a bit scary, though we got used to it eventually! The bunk beds in the children's room need a safety rail on the top bunk. If you're looking for an apartment suitable for very young children or an elderly relative, and you don't want to drive, the walk down to the beach would be very challenging.
Friendly owner, stunning location and a good nearby restaurant. Recommended if staying in the area a couple of days. Reacable by car.
The WIFI was very unstable. Did not bother us that much since we were only staying one night, but could be annoying at a longer stay.
Beautiful location, clean tidy rooms and excellent host. We could not have been looked after better are only regret was we only stayed one night.
After the exciting drive down the steep driveway we came to an absolutely beautiful house overlooking the sea! It was much bigger than we expected and the terrace was wonderful.Luke gave us great information about the surrounding area. We'll be back!
That we only booked 2 nights here...would have liked to stay longer/
Everything was just perfect ! Location, place terrace,. and above all, Lucas, our host, so nice, efficient and warmly welcoming. Thanks for all, Luke !
Nothing at all !
Staff is friendly and he provide maps and suggestions for visiting the area and enjoying the beach. Great location and views of the sea.
Studios are placed at the basement floor of the house and its not exactly what is expected based on most of the web site pictures where looks much better in terms of facilities or terrace.
Property was excellent. Great balcony with sea views. Very helpful manager.
Lukas the manager is a credit to place. He works very hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
wifi connection will be improved
Beautiful Villa!!! Lucas was excellent. He gave us fantastic customer service. The apartment was clean and very adequate and a good value, with a big balcony. Beautiful sea, nature and the surrounding area (Dubrovnik, Cavtat, Mlini).
The minute you see the view from your balcony it makes your jaw drop - it is just so beautiful! The little terrace with its wicker chairs was charming, and after sunset you could even see the stars in the sky. The little secluded beach nearby was breathtakingly beautiful. The host went out of his way to answer our questions and help in every possible way.We should have stayed longer but we were just passing by on our way from Montenegro.
The steep narrow pathway down to the hotel. Going down was still ok but driving uphill was a bit of a challenge.
Lucas was excellent. He met us at the port and gave us a quick tour of the area & helpful insights. He brought us to our rental car location. The apartment was clean and very adequate and a good value. The Mlini area is very pleasant on the water and not far from Dubrovnik or Cavtat; we enjoyed both areas.
The driveway down into the apartment was very very steep and difficult to drive - especially at night. We got lost trying to find it - there are no signs. We have been to Italy 7 times and know hilly curvey roads - this is very difficult. Lucas had to meet us to show us the way, which is not as convenient. We enjoyed the area of Mlini and surroundings, but would advise others that the access to Villa Voga is hard.
Luke was such a wonderful host, he gave us a lot of helpful information. Kitchen was well stocked, view was incredible from large deck. Quick drive into surrounding small towns and Dubrovnik. Rocky beach at bottom of house nice for relaxing.
More parking would have been handy.
Beautiful Villa!!! We had seven people and had plenty of space. Lovely large kitchen. Easy drive to Dubrovnik. Luke was fantastic and very accommodating. When we come back to Dubrovnik we will definitely stay here.
Luke was very nice and accommodating and spoke great English. He gave us fantastic customer service. Very cute place right on the water with a gorgeous view. Wished we could have stayed there longer.
The pillows were small.
The host was simply superb! A very BIG thank you for all your help!!!
Very friendly host, Luke. He speaks very good english and is helpfull. Beautiful view and own beach. The room is nice and clean, with a big balcony. There are not many restauranst nearby but 1 good on walking distance. Unfortunately we could only stay for one night, so we'll go back. :-)
only accessible by car
The room was very large, with a great terrace overlooking the bay. Luke, my host, met me at the site, took the time to explain all about the local area & gave me maps to point out good places to go. He even drove me to the nearest large supermarket 10 minutes away & waited whilst i shopped. And that is the only reason I slightly scored down location- it's lovely & quiet and picturesque but if you don't have a car it won't be for everyone as there are lots of steps or a very steep hill to climb to get to the main road. That said, local buses from there take you to Cavtat where you can get the water taxi to Dubrovnik, or buses go straight to town & loads of other places. I will be back
