This was our second stay at Villas Plat which is self-contained complex offering everything you need for a relaxing holiday experience. The Staff are fantastic and the facilities include a hilltop pool, overlooking the sea. Inside the complex are a Pool Bar, a Beach Bar, an a la carte (Taverna) Restaurant and a Bistro. Accommodation is simple, clean and well maintained. There is a Beach to each side of the pool and a Jetty from which the Water Taxi can be taken; South to Cavtat or North to Dubrovnik. Up the hill from Villas Plat is an exceptional Family Restaurant (Konoba) called King and there is one other Bar/Restaurant on the beach to the South. Otherwise, the location is fairly isolated.

It is very difficult to find anything to really dislike about Villas Plat. However, if there is one irritation, it is the Holiday Camp approach of the Animation Team who, at certain times of the day turn the background music up to ear-splitting volume to encourage participation in group activities. This often leads to a mass exodus from the Pool to the Beach!

I love this place, its my third time going back. I pick Villas Plat because the are quiet and relaxing. Do not go here if looking for a 'drinking holiday'. The vilas themselves are located about 10 minutes from the airport by taxi, 20 minutes to Dubrovnik by shuttle bus, 30 minutes by taxi boat and about 15 minutes to Cavtat by taxi boat. So perfect for different excursions. A day trip to Montenegro can also be booked at reception. Along with a lot of other excursions. There are 3 beaches to choose from, all near the villas. The best beach is beside the Hotel Orphee, in the middle you have the beach with the bar and the last beach you can rent kayaks. The villas and grounds are very clean, the offer different bars and restaurants, however for true value, our best meal was in the King Bar, about 10 minute walk back up towards the main road (seabass is really good!!!). All villas have a kitchenette, so you can do your own breakfast and lunch. Just need to eat dinner out - the varity is good (we had dinner in Dubrovnik a night or two, the shuttle bus offered by the hotel is very good). The resort has a mini market, which is good for a few basics like water, milk etc. but if you need fruit, vegetables, cheese; head to the mini market just back up on the main road (10 minute walk, and head in the direction of the airport). All in all, this place is very good value for money and a great place to go if you want to kick back and relax.

The only thing I didn't like about this place, was the lack of fruit and vegetables in the mini market (but maybe the demand is not there). Also, the price difference between the hotel mini market and the mini market on the main road is big, some items about double. So worth walking to the mini market on the main road.

The view from the room's balcony was great together with a very spacious set up. Only short drive from Dubrovnik and with two beaches within 5 min walk.

The breakfast was poor and the guests were very unfriendly - your typical hotel/pool/allinclusive people... Best to have breakfast on the balcony with a view to the sea.

I liked the location. I had stayed there before and knew how close it was to Dubrovnick and Cavtat. I stayed in one of the studio apartments. It was clean and bright and had air conditioning. There was a shuttle bus to Dubrovnick and a boat to Cavtat. There was also a local bus whick ran regularly. Your a little limited with restaurants in Plat, but Cavtat and Dubrovnick have plenty. The beaches in Plat are lovely and the swimming is just great. The staff in Villas Plat were helpful and very nice.

Excellent location, close to more famous places, but not noisy. Nice pool and beaches, lush vegetation. New and clean rooms, magnificent view from the room terrace, nice bathroom - everything nicely cleaned and maintained. Decent food at the pool bistro and good pizza at the upper bistro, near the reception. Friendly staff. Excellent place for relaxed vacation.

Pool open 10am-7pm. They do not push you to go away at 7pm, but you can see that you are expected to leave. I still can not understand why they do not use this great pool as an advantage and let guests use it early in the morning and at the sunset - the most beautiful times... There are number of stairs to access villas - the luggage assistance is not systematic and proactive - would need just a little more of care and organization to help all the guests with all the luggage. I hope that management will read this - please fix this two things and you could have more guests comming back again.

bad quality of the breakfast

Villas Plat is a quite, excellent place for a family with small children and mature couples and groups. We lived in Villa Diana and enjoyed the sea view every day. I would like to thank the staff for their responsibility. The atmosphere there was very nice.My advice is to have meals in the Orphee hotel. We prefered this place. We liked the boat trips to Dubrovnik and the Lokrum island also.

We would like to see some more sports there: table-tennis, volley-ball grounds etc.

La table de ping pong cassée le cours de tennis a revoir, les animateurs nuls le frigo trop petit et dessous les plaques electriques ,les frelons et guepes, pas d air conditionné mais ventilateur inneficace ,les immeubles aux allentours cribles de balles, plage a nettoyer.

L'emplacement de l'hotel est très agréable et calme

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la situation de notre appartement de 4 personnes à l'hôtel villa Plat. Celle-ci surpombait la mer. Nous avions une grande terrasse donnant sur la mer avec une vue magnifique. De plus notre appartement était très confortable, moderne, spacieux et propre. Sa situation était idéale pour visiter Dubrovnik. Belle piscine également (mais eau de mer).

L'équipement de la cuisine est insuffisant. C'est prévu pour manger principalement à l'extérieur. On trouve dans certaines parties du domaine des bâtiments délabrés ce qui gâche un peu la vue d'ensemble.
