We actually stayed at the hotel Splendid which was only next door, we were not quite sure why but were moved when we first arrived. THe hotel staff are lovely, the food was good but a little on the expensive side. We were aware of this beforehand but the hotel is a 15 minute bus ride away from the old town but the hotel is in a chain of four, all with different facilities and it has it's own beach. Not the hotel's fault but there was some building work on the other side of the cove which went on from 7am til 8pm. We visited in October but were told (on tourist sites for the area) that this was still tourist season and so the building work should not have been going on at this point. It really did spoil the trip and i think that there should have been a discount offered to ourselves and others staying at the hotel, because of the noise i did not find the holiday relaxing at all-which was the purpose of the holiday. |

The pretty situation on the Lapad beach and the convenient bus service to get into Old Town The breakfast, although adequate, could have been a little more imaginative and there was no toast. The sea-view balconies don't get any sun, at least not in October. The beach outside the hotel could be improved. |

Location near the old town and the see. I don't recommend parkside rooms for holiday, only for one max two nights. I know, I slept one and six seeside. |

Right on the beach and close to nearby restaurants. The bus stop is in front of the hotel if u wish to go to the city. The view from breakfast terrace is adorable as well as from the beach... Staff is not that friendly and quite sarcastic. If u wish to have your breakfast on the terrace and enjoy the view don't hurry cos wasp flying around and sitting in your plate will make it difficult. Be careful when getting seaview room since some of them are totally blocked with trees. When checking out I was charged 50 euros more than the price promised on the website and was explained that the hotel has their own exchange rate... |

The hotel was located directly on the beach and the restaurant overlooked Lapad beach. The hotel staff were generally unpleasant and appeared to be inconvenienced by even small requests (extra towels, etc.). There were additional charges for everything ($3 for a bucket of ice!), and the hotel overcharged us on our room by 10 Euros, indicating that it was because of the exchange rate (hrk to eur). Although the location is great and the hotel itself is fine, I would avoid Hotel Vis if possible. |

Location of the hotel is very good, it is right on the pebble beach (Lapad). It is easy to travel from the hotel (bus stop is really close to hotel) to the beautiful and amazing old town of Dubrovnik. Breakfast was good and dinner was great. Some of the staff in the restaurant are really kind and professional. A/C was really good. There is not enough parking space around hotel and in a whole area. No refrigerator in the rooms. |

The view, the beach right outside the hotel and evening entertainment in the bar-local entertainment. The steps leading down to the hotel-hard work with a suitcase. |

nothing. It was a disaster. The price was very high compared with very poor service. the journey was a nightmare we remained only one night instead of the planned two nights. It was the only hotel during our trip in croatia so terrible The hotel beach was dirty, with garbage on the beach crowdy of people without chair or umbrella. For the small number of chairs that are on the beach you have to pay extra. The room is very small, the door of the shawer broken. The staff of the hotel rude and not professional. The breakfast poor and the breakfast restourant is on terrace with a lot of bee. |
