Very nice and clean hotel in the center of the town. Nice view to the church. Personnel very nice.

Breakfast was very basic, but ok.

The room was cozy and nice, and the key landmarks are within few minutes walking.

Cash only. Sounds from neighbour's shower were clear and loud.

Fantastic location, easy to find, arranged free on-site parking. Room great value for money. Good size room, spotless and good common areas for use during summer. Owner spoke no English which didn't bother us but may some travellers.

Couldn't work out how to close the window blinds in the room. Was a little late to ask but we were up before the sun shone through anyhow!

Friendly but poor (not) speaking hosts. Lucky I can speak German so thats how I sort of communicated. The Rooms are quit good, a little dark but that depends on what room you choose. The location is superb!

The apartment was well situated in Esztergom near to bars and cafes and well placed for the Cathedral. The room was fairly small but clean and certainly extremely good value. The main buildings are very nice with the apartment block connected at the side. We did not take breakfast. The owner did not speak English and seemed to assume we could understand German but she was very pleasant. We travelled from Budapest by public transport- about an hour and a half. Esztergom has a certain faded grandeur but we really liked it. There is a bridge over to Sturovo in Slovakia where we would heartily recommend the very friendly Green Pub. There are no customs on the bridge and there is a great view of the Cathedral and castle on the way back. Also had a massage in Esztergom at the impressive public baths.

Though there were few other guests in October, we could hear the extractor fan from another bathroom and the shower running. It was also possible to hear conversations going on elsewhere.

Attitude of owners. Man totally uncommunicative. Taciturn. Woman better but not tuned into hospitality towards tourists.

Friendly, welcoming staff. This is an attractive, well maintained property. Location is handy for visiting basilica.

Scratchy towels.

Close to sight-seeing points. Short walk to good restaurants. Good W-Fi reception. Secure parking, but the highlight was breakfast. Food was local or home- produced and of excellent quality.

Had to prompt the owner to switch hot water on so we could have a morning shower.

We liked the position and balcony to be able to sit out and view of Basilica, the flat is spacious Aquapark is at a walking distance

Kitchen is not well equiped if you want to self cater The larger bed is not comfortable, the springs stick into you

Was OK for me, but better speak german for communicating with hotel staff.

I think we got the best room in the hotel - whith a great view to th Cathedral. It was a very hot day and there was no air condition in the room but ther was a big fan that did a good job.

Staff don't speak English or any other language but Hungarian... Only one towel per person but when we asked we got one more.

This is a charming and very well located B&B,with a very short walk from the Basilica. The room was spacious and clean and it was ready when we arrived at 10 am. I have found nothing significant to complain about as everything looked exactly like it did on the photos, if not better, which is rare. Breakfast was served in a big dining room that loked more like a family breakfast room, the selection some people my say was poor but it was more than enough for us. One thing people need to keep in mind is this is no a hotel, but a family run b&b and I had the impression the family actually lived on the premises. There is no reception as such and no massive breakfast buffet or any luxury mod cons in the rooms but perhaps people who complain for the lack of these should stay at a 4 star hotel and pay the price for that. Also the owner was lovely- I cannot comment on her English as I speak Hungarian. We will be back.

Lack of working air conditioning - my Hungarian and the staff's English weren't up to sorting it.

The location is very good. There's a fast wifi-connection.

There's very little to be happy about. The owner doesn't make the guests feel welcome and speaks only a few words of German. No English at all. When I arrived he didn't have my booking, even though I did receive a confirmation by mail. The rooms are very small, with cheap furniture and flimsy doors, certainly not a recipe for a good night's sleep. No airco either, and no safe place to park your car. On top of that, the owner tried to force me to have breakfast at 7 a.m. because it suited his schedule. The same happened to other guests. A girl working in a nearby museum confirmed the bad reputation. Breakfast itself was also minimalistic. The only smile I saw on the owner's face was when I handed over the money. Avoid this place if you can.

it's a family hotel. People are so nice a friendly. It's a sort of 40 years ago italian "pensione"

The staff of the hotel knows only a bit of German and English.

Charming and well kept pension with atmosphere right in the center. We had a fantastic view from our room, which was spacious and clean, and compared to the very low prices, of a much higher standard than we had expected. The staff did not speak much english or german, but it was not really a problem and they were very friendly.

The optional breakfast was a bit simple, and consisted only of coffe, bread, one kind of sausage, one kind ofjam and some days also a youghurt, but was also very cheap.
