The Allegro Hotel Tihany Centrum is situated in the center of Tihany, which is one of the oldest villages in Hungary, on the north side of Lake Balaton.

The cozy rooms are air-conditioned and feature minibars and hairdryers.

The lobby bar serves a wide selection of drinks.

For those wanting to relax, the Allegro Hotel offers a swimming pool and 2 sun decks. There is also a roofed lounge area with a TV which can be accessed any time.

The hotel has a vineyard which you should not miss out on visiting.

Traditional European breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., but no lunch or dinner. However, the friendly bar is open most of the day, from morning-coffee to nightcap times. Some of the best champagnes and whiskeys can be tasted here and some
of the wines come from the Allegro's own vineyard. A horse-drawn carriage can be arranged to take you up there for an enjoyable picnic or a wine tasting, while enjoying the superb view of the Inner Lake.

Area information

Tihany is one of the oldest villages in Hungary, built on the peninsula on the northern side of Lake Balaton, which is famous for its Benedictine Abbey.

In Tihany visitors can enjoy a variety of Hungarian restaurants, just a short walk away, while a short drive will take you to The Club Tihany with its excellent spa which includes massage and beauty services. It also has a fine restaurant. There is a popular sailing club here, and just round the corner there is Café Tihany, a superb Italian restaurant overlooking the Lake.

Sport lovers can enjoy golf, sailing, riding, fishing and can also hire bicycles to explore the surrounding countryside.

Convenient for all of Tihany peninsula. Car parking available for guests. Signposted us to good restaurant nearby. Good breakfast. This small spotlessly clean hotel had a small swimming pool,bicycle hire and attentative staff. A refreshing stopover on the shores of beautiful Lake Balatan which is easily reached from Budapest by train to Balatanfured and local bus which stops right outside the hotel.A nice getaway from Budapest to experience the Hungarian countryside. Anonymous Young couple United States of America July 11, 2011	By itself, the room was exquisite. Lovely furniture, lighting, plenty of space, top-notch bath. The property itself was also very nice. Several security measures are made to restrict entry from the lobby way into the main hotel and the doors are locked tight for the evening. They have a lovely pool and patio area that sadly couldn't be enjoyed due to yellow jackets buzzing around the water and large spiders weaving cobwebs at every turn. Also, take care to consider the location (Tihany city center), which is a busy town during the day with picturesque views and delightful shops, but very quiet at night. Nearly the whole town is locked tight by 9 pm, and there's little else around for several km. Proprietor also demanded payment in cash despite having a credit card reader. If this happens to you, a request for a small discount (I.E., 2%) to cover your transaction fee is not unreasonable. Did you find this review helpful?	7.1

Tihani est un point central et reposant pour pouvoir découvrir la rive nord du lac. La situtation de l'hotel en hauteur permet d'avoir une vue très agréable sur la péninsule et le lac. L'explosion de touristes la journée laisse place au calme en fin d'après midi et permet de passer de douces nuits. Le presonnel de l'hotel attentionné. La chambre n'était pas prête à notre arrivée. Anonymous Group of friends Germany August 16, 2011	Die Mitarbeiter waren ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit und sind auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Obwohl das Hotel an einer kleinen Straße mit beschränkten Parkmöglichkeiten liegt, wurde alles getan, das das Auto sicher abgestellt werden konnte. Das Frühstück war liebevoll und ausreichend hergerichtet auch wenn es nicht den vielseitigen Büffets der großen Hotels entsprechen konnte. Das Hotel entspricht dem Charme von Tihany als kleiner überschaubarer Ort. Ein Restaurant ist absolut nicht notwendig, da man in den zahlreichen vielseitigen Restaurants auf Tihany sehr angenehm speisen kann und auch sollte. Wer ein Hotel zum Aufenthalt während des Tages sucht ist dort falsch. Bier und Wein am Abend ist immer abgesichert aber ansonsten sind keine Möglichkeiten seine Freizeit zu gestalten. Hotellissa oli ympäri vuorokauden auki oleva uima-allas. Erityisesti pidimme hotellin aulabaarissa nauttimastamme punaisesta hotellin luomu talon viinistä. Aamupala olisi voinut olla runsaampi. Le petit-déjeuner, les conseils pour les déjeuners et dîners; nous avions une jolie vue sur des lacs. La localisation : en centre-ville (pour l'artisanat et les bons restos), près de l'arrêt du petit train pour un petit tour ou pour aller et revenir du Balaton, on peut partir à pied de l'hôtel pour se promener au bord d'un lac de pêcheurs.
