Hotel Astoria  

This is our second time in the hotel, both times during the off season. We love the location, close to the restored waterfront in Balatonfüred, great for evening walks, cruises, boat rentals, the bike path around the lake, eating on the lake in sidewalk cafes and a short drive or bike ride to Tihany and other sights and the ferry to the other side.

Hotel Astoria has a really elegant historical look, it actually resembles very much my high school so I have some emotional bonus point on its appearance. The staffs I encountered are super friendly and my room is comfortable with a nice view of the sky in the sunny mornings. Breakfast is simple and sufficient and I've pleased and suprised to see liver paste spread available! I also got free wifi access in my room (no password needed) which I hadn't expected in the first place, so that's a pleasant surprise as well. If ever I return to Balatonfured I will consider staying again.

There are several things that need improvements, but none of them harm my good impression on the hotel: 1) there is no air-conditioning in the room, but there's a very good fan which should be sufficient for your need, but beware if you are a person that absolutely requires air- conditioning; 2) No escalator/ lift in the hotel, have to carry up and down my luggage on the stairs, a bit difficult and dangerous if you got a really heavy luggage; 3) the television was a joke, a huge number of channels available but the reception is super poor (I don't watch anyway so it's fine for me); 4) no extra plug space available, I have to deplug the tv to get a plug space for charging my phone/ camera, please add extensions for guests to have plug space for charging their electrical accessories!

Nice hotel, large and clean room and bathroom, friendly staff, beautiful town.

Comfortable above average size room and bathroom. Quiet.

Inflexibility with the check out time. A 10.00 check out on a Sunday morning with breakfast serving until 10.00 seems a little unreasonable.

Ich war positiv überrascht. Ein gepflegtes, freundliches, angenehmes und ruhiges Ambiente am Sesonende. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet.

Die Küche des schönen Hotel Restaurants mindert die Qualität.

A szálloda csodálatos elhelyezkedése a reformkori városrész közepén Balatonfüred gyors és átfogó megismerését megkönnyíti. A szálloda személyzete ehhez kimagasló segítséget nyújt. A centrális elhelyezkedése lehetővé teszi a Balaton környéki nevezetességek felkeresését ( Tihany, Badacsony, Szigliget, Tapolca, de Veszprém, Herend, Nagyvázsony is). A szálloda berendezésénél ragaszkodjanak továbbra is a mostani stílushoz, ez remekül passzol az épület hangulatához, amely nagyon kellemes.A Kert szépen ápolt, az autósoknak rendelkezésre áll egy saját parkoló is. "Jó ide eljönni!" ( Akár többször is...)

Удобное расположение, близко к променаду и тихо. Большой номер, по уровню - честная трешка. Нормальный континентальный завтрак (правда, одинаковый во все дни). Почти не было постояльцев.

Нет лифта (для двух этажей, в общем, не проблема). Нет своего пляжа (городской - платный), бассейна-сауны-фитнеса-массажистов (все это есть в отелях сети Данабиус, в Анна гранд отеле, Фламинго, хотя там довольно много народа). Садовник предпочитает работать у веранды во время завтрака.

Viihdyin oikein hyvin. Henkilökunta ystävällinen, palvelu oikein hyvin. Unkari oli yllättävän mieluisa kokemus.

Gutes Früschtück auf der schönen Terasse im Freien, saubere Einrichtungen, nettes Personal.

Für den Preis wäre eine Klima-Anlage nicht schlecht. Im Zimmer Nr. 1 gab es einen nicht angenehmen Geruch. Ständiges Lüften war erforderlich.

Insgesamt waren wir nicht ganz mit dem Service im Hotel zufrieden. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption haben nur schlechtes Englisch/ Deutsch gesprochen, sodass man sich nur schwierig verständigen konnte. Bis auf eine Ausnahme waren die Mitarbeiter auch eher unmotiviert und lustlos - wir hatten öfters das Gefühl zu stören. Die Zimmerreinigung erfolgte nicht besonders gründlich. Ruhe haben wir leider auch keine gefunden im Hotel Astoria. Besonders in den Zimmer nach vorne heraus kann man nachts kaum schlafen, schon gar nicht bei geöffnetem Fenster was bei fehlender Klimaanlage durchaus gut wäre. Im Bad fehlten Abstellmöglichkeiten vollständig, an den Fenstern ein geeigneter Sonnenschutz. Außerdem gibt es keine Trockenmöglichkeit für Strandtücher. Auch bezüglich der Lage gibt es sicherlich bessere Hotels: bis zum nächsten (während unserem Aufenthalt hoffnungslos überfüllten) Strandabschnitt sind es 15 Minuten Fußmarsch.
