The 4-star Danubius Hotel Astoria in the heart of Budapest, built on the site of the medieval town walls, is one of the most charming old-style hotels of Hungary's capital. As the slogan of the hotel goes, Astoria offers "Tradition and style..." with its last turn-of-the-century atmosphere.

Danubius Hotel Astoria was opened in 1914 after the world-famous Waldorf Astoria in New York. As located in the heart of Budapest Danubius Hotel Astoria has excellent communication to all points of interest within the city and to all international highways.

Astoria standard rooms:
These freshly renovated, air-conditioned rooms offer spacious surroundings and a colourful backdrop. They are decorated in flat ochre, terracotta and full Burgundian textile patterns. They also boast elegant antique-like white furniture and a Provencal atmosphere.

Economy rooms:
The pleasant, air-conditioned, soundproofed rooms are furnished with beech furniture and are situated on the quiet Magyar Street wing of the hotel.

Room excellent size, bathroom lovely, new and clean. Excellent location to all sites and underground. Lovely breakfast.

You need to get new pillows. They are very hard and uncomfortable

The hotel staff was very friendly and the location of the hotel is excellent. Next to astoria metro station. They gave us a room from the early morning that we arrived without charging us extra!!

The Danubius Hotel Astoria was superb! My room was large, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast (including Viennese pastries) was amazing. The hotel staff members were pleasant, efficient, and well-informed. The hotel was also very well located.

The hotel was wonderful. I highly recommend it!!

Location is very convenient and is in the tourist/ shopping area, next to subway station. Breakfast was wonderful. The room was comfortable with all the necessary things. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

No parking in the hotel, but staff helped me to park my car in a parking structure about a block away and it worked out very well.

Great value for money, staff extremely kind, excellent location due to underground station right in front of the hotel, very comfortable rooms. Buffet breakfast is included and offers everithing you might want!

Rooms facing the main street may get a bit noisy at night due to the traffic.

Near subway, very convenient and it's air-conditioned, good.

It's unacceptable to have a maid go into our room freely while we are inside, oh god, I was in toilet with the door open :< !!! Besides, it's so difficult to get room service, I called for three times at least for a pot of hot water, while I could get it easily in other hotels I lived in Europe.

The hotel was very pleasant and comfortable and in a good location, within walking distance of many attractions. The buffet breakfast was also very good.

In the bathroom the shower headwould not remain upright, and had to be hand held, which was not very convenient.
