Opened in Siófok in 2011, the 4-star Hotel Azur Premium offers a private beach on Lake Balaton and a large wellness centre with indoor pool, hot tub and a sauna with panoramic views of the lake.
Score from 240 reviews Excellent
The Vértes Hotel is located in a quiet area of Siófok, a 5-minute walk from Lake Balaton and the center. It offers a new spa area, free Wi-Fi and free parking.
Score from 225 reviews Very good
On the shore of Lake Balaton, Luxury Apartment Hotel Siófok is 2 km from the centre of Siófok. The spacious, luxuriously furnished apartments and studio all have a balcony. Free WiFi is available.

Score from 71 reviews Very good
Lack of culture and hygiene in the sauna. For spa you get only one towel???
sauna in the suite
Parking in front of hotel, indoor and outdoor pools also for children, indoor monkey bars, 10mins walk to the town, great for family with children
Poor WiFi, drinks really overpriced, we rather bought wine and other drinks in nearby shops
- localization - far enough from the harbor no to hear "disco boats" but close enough to get there in 10 minutes and enjoy August festival - infrastructure (pools, saunas etc.) - Balaton on the premises - parking - delicious food - sunbeds - and many more
- furniture - antiques from early 80' - smell from the wardrobes - drinks' prices crazy - pool bar prices as above - WiFi in the room was a one big joke - be advised, coz on the booking.com reservation confirmation that was indignation tag parking is included, and when we were checking out, we had to pay for parking, clerk couldn't convincingly explain why it is so. We had no time to argue so we paid and left.
Very good facilities
No wifi in our room
Placement Nice view Good facilities (pool, sauna)
Very poor staff. Wi-Fi didn't work at our room. Room was not clean twice in 7 days of our stay in hotel. Very bad value for money. Parking for 5 Euro per day.
location by the 'beach' wonderful; big indoor and outside pools.
pillows were inadequate
Inside and outside pools
Very bad and unhealthy food for dinner , no vega choice at all:pork, stew and deep fried food. Breakfast is the same: Fatfull scrambled egg,que for coffee, not served Room: terrible bed Pool bar: no food after 3pm Poor choice of drinks Overall : too pricy for poor hotel services
Stylish, ample, nicely decorated room (premium junior suite) with fabulous views, no crowd, excellent wellness (panorama saunas, infra sauna was really hot, ice chamber, good staff and everything was working from early morning on full gear did not have to beg for the facilities to be turned on). Lovely garden, direct access to Lake Balaton. Bed and bedding was really comfortable. Decent choice of tasty food and dishes, friendly catering staff. Managed to pick some really good wines from the menu.
The gym is a bit smaller and more humble than I expected.
Variety Of pools Great Food Great Service Proffesional attitude
Paying for the car park
no wifi in the rooms no soft drinks included in dinner (not even tap water?!)
Horrible hotel... Service very poor, smells like toilet, think twice before booking this hotel
We stayed at the Premium rooms. Rooms are nice and new the atmosphere is good some of them with a big terrace. The brakfast and the breakfast place for the premium rooms are really good. Theese rooms has free entrance of a separated wellness facility with a lot of saunas. The overall weekend and the experience was nice you can hardly find any hotel at Balaton which have pool and beach and nice rooms and Azur have it all. And you can also walk to the city in 10 mins if you want to go out.
The outside pool area and the Balaton beach is too small proportionally for the whole hotel complex in seson however you can still "hunt" a sunbed or two. Animation is extremly unprofessional (my review about gym) they had better not even do it it makes the hotel experience rather lower. Beach bar food have a very bad quality and it is expensive at the same time.
Swimming pools and saunas.
Restaurant was crowded.
Location Pools Politeness
Uncomfortable ansvugly plastic watch to identify ourselves Wear on furniture Broken fridge and doors
Everything was great.
WI-FI was not working in the room.
They took an extra charge for beverges at diner (no beverge been served so you had to buy ) . furthermore, when we went out to the pool again after an after-noon nap and asked for a new towl thay said that er can get only one towl per day altough we gave back the one from the morning. They didn't mention it anywhere! So unfurtunately we went back to the pool without a towl!!
nice and tasty dinner and breakfast buffet spa and wellness area, outdoor pools
staff has only basic English knowleadge. If You are not German or Russian, You are automatically low cost turist with all "benefits" 5€ for parking per day!
The air conditioning in the room did not work when the outdoor temperature is 29 degrees! No mosquito windows, no way to open the window ,the room is so hot ! Buffet is too poor to choose! Not tasty！ Few children's programs.
wellness, inside and outside pool and private beach
weak wifi room is little bit hot
The best aspects of this hotel are the big size of the rooms (at least the double room where I stayed) and the giant swimming pool.
The worst aspect of this hotel is the quality of the buffet, that we tasted for the breakfast and the dinner (they force you to choose "half pension"). It is awful, probably the worst where I have ever been. The food was not very good, the variety very low and the fact that you have to pay for every drink in the dinner is not according to my idea of "half pension" regime. This buffet was not according to the "4-star level" that the hotel is showing (barely 3 or 2 stars maybe). The location of the hotel is good, close to the Balaton, but a little bit far from the "bars and pubs area", which is closer to the city centrum. So, depending on the type of stay that you prefer (closer to the party in the city or one more quiet and relaxing environment) you should consider this aspect. Finally, the cleanliness of the room was not the best. For instance, in the balcony there were two spiders "threatening" us during our two-nights stay.
The facilities The food
Some people from the staff can not speak English
Wi-fi works in some rooms, where the range is good. Have payed 4€ for the glass of juice in the restaurant. If you have possibility, choose Premium version of the hotel, as you might use everything from both and when you choose regular one, you cannot use Premium one facilities.
