“Staff were very helpful, and given our limited Hungarian, were able to assist us in English. The hotel is very handy for the centre of Keszthely, and also only a few minutes walk through the park to the Balaton shore. The restauarant was good, and the breakfast buffet also very pleasant.”

The family-run Hotel Bacchus is situated in a calm part of the center of Keszthely, 3 miles from Héviz. It boasts a restaurant with a historic wine cellar and a charming garden.

The hotel is very handy for the centre of Keszthely, and also only a few minutes walk through the park to the Balaton shore. The restauarant was good, and the breakfast buffet also very pleasant. The bedroom was very hot as there was no air conditioning (there was however a portable electric fan in the room). This is probably less of a problem for those used to hot climates.
