The breakfast room was roomy. The breakfast was wide and varied, good selection, very nice
Told on arrival I was being upgraded and hopefully it would lead to a positive feedback on booking.com. However, the so called upgrade was to a smaller room than was in the picture at the time of the booking. So, more of a down grade! The shower tray did not empty. This was a problem as by the time the hot water came through I had to turn the shower off and wait 20 minutes for the water to drain away. By the time the water had drained, the shower when turned on was only luke warm. Nothing worse than standing in cold water having a shower. Bed was uncomfortable and woke up each morning with a bad back. Unable to relax, not an ideal place for me to stay.
Very good breakfast, near to the city centre, clean room.
Long distance between reception and room with many stairs. Parking (in streets around isn´t possible to park during day 8 - 18 h).
close to the center - 1 km wifi in room , mini bar room was clean food was good
TV was to old, but we didnt stay to much in room.
Helpful personnel , close to the center, safe underground parking
Needs a total renovation, even the sheets are so old, they've gone yellow, wifi works only next to the reception
We arrived already at 11 AM and it was no problem to check in immediatelly. The room was clean, reception opened 24hrs. Really good value for the price. One of the receptionist was very helpfull.
It was little bit far from the centre by foot, but with bus you are in centre in 7 minutes. For those who want the hotel in walking distance from the centre I wouldn't reccommend, because there is long main streat heading there from the centre.
Main reason why I picked Bara Jr in first place was the fact that it is only 2 min from Budapest Congress Center where I was going. It was my first visit there. As soon as we arrived we`ve got very nice surprise - staff had some free rooms in Hotel Bara (better class) and moved us there for same price. Hotel staff was very friendly and helped us with everything we asked. Room was big, and very clean. Mini bar, plasma tv, fresh towels. Great swedish table for breakfast. Really great place and I think that in that moment I could hardly find something better for that price around.
Rooms could use some soundproofing. We had some really noisy neighbours fighting, it sounded like there were in our room.
Location Price Nice place of student/backpackers
Hygine (every 3 days room is cleaned/changed) Old sofa/bed/bathroom TV (no remote) Bara Junior is part of Bara Hotel, but your room not close to hotel. You have to walk (via underground corridor and 5 or 6 stairs)
location close to the center
it was dirty, old equipment, the husband grabbed the cockroach
Breakfast is excellent, there are all kinds of food
Rooms dont have fridge and airconditioning
Good locality, nearby the city centre, with very easy and quick access by the city buses. Clean room with appropriate facilities. Kind staff and tasty breakfasts. I have used the underground garage in the hotel (based on my experience the parking in Budapest are quite complicated and expensive generally). I have been there for the third time in last two years (all my visits in Budapest at that time) and I can recommend this hotel to the people who look for the good value for money.
Clean rooms, good breakfest
Loud street next to hotel, hard to sleep in the morning
This hotel offers good value for reasonable money. You can get free breakfast. It was clean and quiet. It definitelly worths the money.
The hotel is not located in the centre (about 10-15 mins walk), but I guess it would be much more expensive if it was.
I was put into room at front of hotel noise from road total unacceptable I ask for other room or my money back they did find me a room at back next day
It's near of center of Budapest.
It's not confortable hotel..
I was a little bit scared about these comments that the hotel rooms was dirty, but I was shocked by the cleanliness and tidiness of room and toalets. Our room was really great! And the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. i'm veeery picky pearson and i always find something bad to everything, but for this hotel i have only good thing to say!
i dont like the location. Hotel is on the Pest side of city, there is a empty side od city, and nothing is happening,, but it's a only 4 station from a centre :)
+ Location + Friendly staff + Very good breakfast (hot dishes offered) + Very low price
- The towels and bed linen were very old and not very clean
1) location is good 2) breakfast is nice 3) clean room every day 4) staff very friendly
room is small, and bathroom is uncomfortable
Value for money Cleanliness Parking underground garage
A bit too noisy room due to frequent road right under the window. No A/C
Brekkie was good. Staff were excellent...knowledgeable & helpful! Getting us taxi's was a life saver ...very reasonably priced. Quite an easy walk ( but longish if unwell) to Pest.
No lift in Bara Junior so had to pay more & stay in Hotel Bara. Otherwise lug our luggage up over 50 stairs...not good with unwell husband! Website said "stairs" Lack of A/c a big disadvantage in August heat! No clean towels for 3 days unless you pay more!
Its alote stairs to go with bags.

Clean sheets and towels.
Dirty floor, verandah very unclean, third bed in a stuffy corner, poor ventilation: at least a fan should be there.
Good water pressure in the shower. Excellent choice of fresh vegetables for breakfast. Very clean.
The entire building conception is bad. Long tunnels and corridors, many stairs. No hair shampoo in the room and no willingness to help at the reception. Remember to bring your own toilet paper. In cheap hotels in these countries, it is abrasive and may contain some wooden sawdust.
It was good value for the money. They have a large underground parking.
No internet. Only near the reception. Very long corridors until getting to the rooms section. At night is pretty scary, like you are at the old metro station.
I liked the price and the location. Breakfast was excellent.
The bathroom had no air vent. Also, I find the parking a bit expensive for my budget, 10 eur/day.
