Some nit-picky things.
There are more bugs (mosqutios, etc.) there than anywhere I have seen in Hungary. The floor of our bedroom was surprisingly warm and heated up the room. There was no AC so we opened the window, but there are no screens so we got a bunch of bugs in the room while trying to cool the room.
The outside thermal pool was warm, but not warm enough for September. It was probably a perfect temperature for July/August.
There are controls for the water jets in the jacuzzi, but I could not find any for the jets in the thermal pool. (I did not go to the desk and ask because I was wet.) Some controls on timers for the pool would be nice.
The overall setting is great. The idea of staying in a palace is great.
They have made an effort to make it family and child friendly. Playground, tennis, pool toys, etc.
They include breakfast AND dinner so you do not have to go and try to find someplace to eat at night (since it is out in the country). And the food was very good.
A spa-like environment. Indoor and outdoor thermal pools, jacuzzi, sauna, etc.
Based upon my experience with hotel costs in the US it thought it was a good price for everything that is available.
If I was staying near the west end of Balaton I would not hesitate going back again.
