Friendly, helpful staff. They were all great.
The room smelled quite strongly of awful perfume. Probably put there to make the room smell nice. Bad idea. There was construction on the street and the taxi had to park many yards away. Hotel is too far from the hop-on hop-off bus. Hard to find, also.
This was an excellent located hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great value and excellent breakfast for the price.
Everything was great. No negatives!
The help and support regarding guidance on most interesting places to visit, nearest money exchanger, reserving tickets for some shows directly from the hotel's front office desk,...etc was great.
The construction near to hotel's premises made taxi drivers unable to get to the hotel easily, but this of course not hotel's fault and happens everywhere.
Staff was very good and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was extra, about $9 US, but was very good and plentiful. The overall location was great, a bit out of the city center, but close to other things to see. As a tourist, the "Hop on, Hop off" bus system was a very good deal and helpful. I would stay here again without a doubt. Taxi to the city was about $10 and about $30 to the airport. Great views of the city and the castle at night from the two bridges. We had a wonderful time.
They are constructing a new road right in front of the hotel which caused some initial stress BUT it was not a real problem in the end. We saw what the finished product was going to look like a little further up and it will be beautiful when it is completed.
The hotel and staff are fine..they try to give good service despite the construction challenge...can't help but feel sympathy for them as it has been going on for a year...
The roads all around the hotel are ripped up as are the sidewalks....the city is constructing what will be beautiful stone streets,,,,but for now they are a mess...so, once you get used to the shock and carry on ..walking to old center is great as well as the walk on sidewalk by Danube.
The friendliness and helpfulness of all of the staff, the breakfast with freshly cooked to order eggs, the overall cleanliness of the hotel.
Although not within the hotels control the construction work being carried out in the vicinity of the hotel makes it impossible for vehicular access. The approach to the hotel is via a road under reconstruction with no footpaths, this makes access difficult and would be impossible for wheelchairs or indeed someone with any mobility issues. This problem was made worse during our stay as it rained a lot which meant walking through wet sand and cement which is nit good for shoes, my wife had to throw hers away. I know this ai outside your control but as this construction ha been going on since may this year i do believe we should have be forwarned
The manager & staff were excellent. BReakfast was very good. Restaurant recommendations were great.
Not being advised about the roadworks & the best entrance to avoid them prior to arrival.
Good location just off the Danube. Approximately a 15 minute walk to get over to Pest. 10 minute walk to the bus stop. Right at the foot of Castle Hill. Nice area. Hotel is basic but clean and friendly. Rooms are comfortable with all the facilities you'd really want. TV, tea and coffee, hairdryer.
Nothing particularly bad at all. Some people might prefer to be a little more 'in' the city.
excellent location, very friendly and helpfull stuff, great stay in great city
- Perfect location with many sights and transport near the hotel. - Very helpful staff.
- The first two days WiFi was not working. - They were renovating the street, so it looked messy.
location staff cleanliness price/value
quiet area near by center town.
Was not informed upfront about road constructions inf front of a hotel.
Nice small hotel on the Buda side of Danube. Central Budapest is in 10 min walk over the bridge. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast available on additional charge.
Weak wi-fi signal
The city itself was beautiful. Gellert Thermal Baths, the Opera House Tour and Castle and Galleries. The hotel was good no fuss and a good breakfast. Efficient in getting our taxi back to the airport. Even sold us a late night bottle of wine.
Quiet location, very clean and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
Bed rather hard.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff and breakfast choicep
Staff were very welcoming, great room facilities including tea and coffee, mini fridge and free wi-fi
Stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Staffs were very helpful. And location was nice.
Loyosh the manager and staff were fantastic. Very helpful and pleasant. Facilities were good and breakfast was worth it. Location was excellent. 10 minute walk to Pest side.
In my opinion, the set of hotels "Best Western" is really the best one in the world. My first experience with hotel "Orion" in Budapest confirns that absolutely. The attention to small details of comfort seems to be most attractive. Thanks a lot.
Nothing to write here
Staff very helpful. Location was excellent.
staff very friendly and helpful breakfast was very good
pillows smelt of grease hair, my fault should have asked to change them and I'm sure they would have done
clean/ quite/ near buda castle/ fair price
With the exception on arrival, the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a great location on this side of the river. The park is close by which is nice and it is quieter as you are on the opposite side of the city. A walk throught the park to the statue of liberty is a must. Yet again the restaurents were fantastic. Fishermans soup is a must try.
When we arrived the staff member seemed disinterested and quickly pointed out that breakfast was not included and would have to be paid for separatley despite the agreement in the original booking. It was a good deal and I felt he was trying to make extra money from us. That aside it was nice to wonder the cafes and find somewhere nice for brunch instead and prob cheaper too. There was a constant humming sound in the hotel which was a little annoying. There were two individual quilts as opposed to a large one which meant we couldn't snuggle up properly however it did stop the battle of the quilt in the middle of the night.
