The 4-star hotel is located just 10 minutes to the Austrian – Hungarian border and only a few steps from the heart of the town.

The Löver Hotel Sopron enjoys a peaceful location on the edge of a nature reserve, one mile from the center of Sopron. It offers a spa area with a pool, free Wi-Fi and free parking.

Great location, old world hotel.
An excellent place to stay. Friendly staff and atmosphere.. Highly good impression ..
1)NO regular soap(bars). 2)The hand washer liquid could not be used too close to the sink.
Staff at reception very good. Helpfull and friendly. Very good location. Good price. Wild selection for breakfast.
Very slow service in restaurant if you're not using the buffet. Bathroom in the room wasn't very clean and room was dusty. Sleeping was disturbed by the outside noise. Infra sauna wasn't working in spa and jacuzzis was working like a fountain (bubbles in the centre of the pool only) and not for a massage at the back of a person.
The building, the terrace, the pool.
Room size. Furniture. Location. Facilities.
Restaurant was very below average for this class of hotel, but there are plenty of good ones all around
We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel as well as the staff were very nice, the room was clean and the reastaurant offered for breakfast a rich choice of all kinds of meal including fresh fruit which is esential to me (and so often missing in other places), cereals and very good sweat pastery. We enjoyed the wellness too, it is quite nice with more different saunas, quite a good size swimming pool, etc. even if the place is missing a bit of a what I call "the right atmosphere" as other wellness centers which I visited had. I mean it was clean and functional but little too "plain", I suppose working a bit on lighting (too much light) and on details of interior would help to make it perfect (please, understand, I choose the hotels on bases if they have a good wellness, so I might be a little too demanding :) ). This is only a hint for whoever could work on it, the hotel is highly recommended and I will definitelly come back in case I happen to stay in Sopron the next time.
Wellness: the most negative thing about (otherwise pretty good) wellness is that there is no bathroom/WC inside, one has to go out and walk through the long corridor to reach it. The other negative thing is practically not directly related to the hotel as it is regarding the restaurant recommended by hotel staff and, of course, they probably had no knowledge about their "practices" (well, now they know as we informed the receptionist): the "Puskas" restaurant. We asked at hotel if we could pay in Euro too there and were told that we could. Well, the restaurant itself was nice, the food was pretty good, we could indeed pay in Euro... The problem was that they, without warning, not only calculated a rate which was not very good (that is something one expects in cases like this), but charged additional 10 Euros!! With each bill! Our fault, we could ask/check before but were just too tired and excited to be in Hungary again (me) and for the very first time (the others), I mean that is not too nice a thing to do and to do even without warning (I even speak the language as I am half Hungarian and they did not tell me there was a difference in price). So we have really a bad memory of it as we also gave a good tip and noticed it only later. Conclusion: we will never go to eat there again (so their loss will be much higher than the 10 Euros as we will pass Sopron regularly now, in addition they might even loose some other clients reading this post who value highly the principle and will avoid it - or mention this to staff or manager, so the practice changes! Thank you in advance). You choose if you go, but if you do so, make sure to pay in Forints and to check the bill right before paying very carefully because they also cheated on another item! I am considering to report them to some Hungarian institution (I still have the bill for that purpose) as I was so ashamed in front of my foreign relations to have this experience right the first evening!
The location of the hotel is perfect, the facilities are extensive and the food was excellent. We had a family suite on the front, which in addition provided an excellent view. The hotel has a faded grandeur without being tatty. The staff were always polite and flawless English was spoke at reception. There are a number of good restaurants within 100 yrds and behind a classical frontage, even a Tesco.
The only issues were very minor: the showers in the swimming pool/gym changing room were out of order for the full 2 weeks that we stayed and the stairs down from the pool need a non slip surface, as evidenced by my bruises!
Big room, plenty of space, wonderful staff
Nice to have a sauna/jacuzzi to rest after a long day. Located on central street of Sopron, close from restaurants and bars. Parking spot under the hotel.
Access to the parking spot can be a bit tricky with a SUV. Not easy to find the swimming pool area.
There was no airconditioning in the room that faced the mai street. Windows should have been kept open duirng the night however the street was rather noisy. The missing airconditioning shold have been told at the time of presenting the place.
The room and bathrooms we had were big enough even for a longer stay.
Breakfast was bland, with few options and generally lower quality ingredients - nothing local, all supermarket-quality. The decor of the building itself is fairly dated, a refresh would be needed.
Wellness & pool, playroom for children, nice hotel staff,
Garage access, noisy bed,
Staff and WiFi
Old dirty hotel. I don't understand how it can be a Best Western. Tragedy.
Great breakfast, great location, friendly staff.
Carpet in our room was really stained and got damp outside the shower.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Staff was friendly and helpful, location was perfect, breakfast was good with enough choice. It was easy to find, even in the middle if the night, very near to the austrian border and the open air opera places like St. Margarethen and Moerbisch. We noticed that apart from wellness, there is a massage sallon, pedicure and manicure, which we will try out the next time.
The location, character and friendly staff. The breakfast choices were excellent. We were in the Family room which had two separate rooms with an adjoining bathroom.
Great location for walking to historic sights, restaurants and train station. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious, comfortable and quiet, even on the street side. Good wi-fi connection. I loved everything about my stay!
Staff was perfect, rooms nice and very comfortable. Looks a little bit old but the rooms are classic and with new tv's and internet. Breakfast in a superb area. Building old town house very very nice. And the price for it perfect !!!
You can not smoke inside nowhere .
It is a nice traditional hotel and a change from the big 'chain' hotels. Setting was great - convenient for the old town with local bars and restaurants. Great value for money and nice breakfast. Not a 5* hotel ... if you want 5*, you'll pay four time the price.
Room had a fan but no air-con, so was warm.
A modern, comfortable hotel. Everything was excellent and we were very comfortable.
Nice hotel with a nice interior swimming pool and a good sauna. Breakfast was ok. The safe parking was not expensive.
Lift was out of order at the moment of our visit.
The staff were very helpful. Good location. I was given an upgrade it was very much appreciated.
Everything looked lovely until we stepped out of the lift it didn't look nice at all very run down so I was worried what the room would be like. Just some freshening up for appearance would help.
It was a good location and good value.
Our rooms were dated. They were clean and fine but just not as updated as I'd hoped.
