Boat Hotel Fortuna  

Good location. Good price. Good breakfast.

Very small rooms, but that is expected for a boat-hotel. Very unfriendly and unhelpful reception. No smiles at all :o( They absolutely didn't know anything for any question we asked. Only reply was, I don't know with a very disgruntled voice and frowns. This guy which was there on 23/9/2011 needs to be canned. Very poor representation for this hotel. I hope the management will see this review.

Enjoyed the location, on the river, the breakfast and the location. Try and get a room with a river view if possible. The views from the deck are lovely

Everything was excellent considering 40 euros per night for double room with breakfast.

I liked the restaurant best. It was neat and clean and much nicer than the rooms. The food was very good.

The front desk manager acted like he did not want to be there when we arrived. He acted as if it was a very big bother to help us. Our room was old and shabby and felt grimy. The carpet felt very dirty, the bathroom did not feel clean. .

The breakfast was very good, and from the window you could see the river boats passing.

The room was small and there was no fresh air.

The staff was really nice and helpful and the breakfast was very diverse considering it was a 3 star hotel. The room had a nice view to the river. It was an interesting experience since we don't get to sleep on boats that often. For a bit more money you can get a bigger room and even though we didn't bother to upgrade I think most couples would. The boat is nicely located and you can walk to many nice and interesting monuments/locations.

The room was cleaned often and the towels were changed but the sheets and duvet were not changed throughout our stay. The bathroom was really small.

Nice hotel - good idea to make a hotel in a boat. Very friendly staff. Good Location.

Poor heating, small bathroom without bathtub in superiour double room, poor breakfast, bad change rate for money.

Really nice hotel on the river. Has a nice feel to it, the rooms are clean and nice and are kept sufficiently warm during winters. NOt really in the centre of the city, had to walk for 10 minutes from the nearest public transport. However the centre of the town could be reached in 10 minutes by tram no 2 We came across two staff members , one of them was really nice and helpfull, but the other one was not such a good one but if we leave the reception aside, i will really recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy a different experience.

The situation is perfecto for visit the city. Very near of Parlament, and it have public transport Trolebus (75, 76), Tranvía (6, 4, 2...), Bus and Metro (3) very near. If you can choice is better room with views to Margaret Island.

Breakfast is soo poor, and, the room is very tiny.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was small but very comfortable. The hotel is beautiful, To wake up and look out of the window to a magnificent view of the Danube was awesome. The breakfast was delicious,with plenty of choice.

The only thing I can think of is.............it would be nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.

I had a confortable double room facing the river & I could see the boats going and the Margaret Island! Internet, television, good & rich breakfast. All for a budget price! and close to the city centre!

Unfortunatly you can't open the windows in you room. I would have appreciated if it was 300 meters closer to the bus stop! but it was not too bad!

Being on a wood pannelled boat on the Danube. The views from the deck are terrific: of the musical fountain on Margaret Island and of the Buda heights, the palace etc. Sitting there listening to music on my i pod, drinking, far better than a city hotel room. The boat is very well situated: 2 tram terminates nearby and goes right along the Pest river bank.Hot shower with good pressure; comfortable bed. Tiny cabin but very cheap price. Very good breakfast included - range of foods and styles available. Excellent scrambled egg. Very helpful and pleasnat reception staff. Free wifi on desk top in service cabin [no wifi in rooms].

The coarse towels. Crossing the road from the waterside to the embankment across a very fast road. Lack of daytime coffee facilities.
