Bed was horrible! Ended up sleeping on the sofa bed.
it was very spacious, well equiped, very good location and the whole apartment was more than we expected. excellent for that price
5th floor was high enough to eliminate the street noises, the apartment is well equipped with everything necessary for a budapest trip! Big enough so you don't get a cage-feeling.
No hairdryer and outside 5 degrees C! Put on a beanie before leaving the place with wet hair - or get a nice wig :)
Very good location within walking distance to main attractions. Comfy bed with clean shared bathrooms. Friendly and helpful staff
Common are is pretty small.
I've stayed before at the Broadway and had good experiences, and the staff continues to be helpful
A few days after my stay, I developed an extremely severe and terribly itchy rash which according to the doctor I visited exactly matches bedbug bites in looks and symptoms. Have laundered everything and cleaned my own apartment, and am now anxiously waiting and hoping to not get an infection. Can NOT recommend this hostel to anyone
Close location to the heart of the city. Walkable distance to the Stephan Church.
No staff tried to tell the drunk men outside my room to keep it quiet. They were using my solo bathroom and leaning against my door laughing and shouting at one another. I didn't have the courage to go out to use the bathroom. Most disappointing was the front desk did nothing about it.
Personal speaks good english Is situated in the centre of town Very good price
It´s hot to sleep in the room of 10 persons
Very good location behind the Opera. We had apartment A42 with two big rooms and open kitchen to the livingroom and balcony. Everything nice and new. Short walk to blue or yellow metro. Nice walk to Vaci utca. Cheap and good food at restaurant opposite (a little right) to Broadway hostel&apartments. Remember to try streetfood "Langos". If you are over 65yrs and from an EU country you ride free with metro, bus and tram. Keep an ID with you. Hint: buy GULYÁSKREM (in a tube)for yourself or as a small present. It is to put in meatdishes like stews or soups. Take tram nr 2 to north along the river as a sightseeing to the end, walk over the bridge and then tram nr 19 back on the other side. Avoid restaurants in the very center, very good food in small places a little aside. Because the portions are very big often a starter is enough. Try RANTOTT CAMAMBERT (breadcrumbed fried cheese) with rice or RANTOTT GOMBA (breadcrumbed fried mushrooms). Wi-Fi ok. Have a nice vacation!
No coffee-maker, but we knew it so we took our own filter with us. There is a waterboiler. Instant coffee is a good solution.
Stayed in a studio apartment for about 15 euros a night and it's totally worth it, as compared to squeezing with other people in a dorm, since after all, its budapest and everything is relatively cheaper than the rest of Europe. the apartment is very spacious and well equipped with whatever you would want in a regular home. it is very near the main attractions and nearby there's a metro station, supermarkets and bars.
the hostel wifi is very weak. maybe it's because we are on the second floor. had to tap onto other free wifi networks.
The location was perfect. Good beds and okay facilities.
Noisy but you just need to go out yourselves
Friendly staff and good location
Very small hot rooms. Small common area.
10+Walking distance to some of the attractions. Had a basic kitchen that you could make yourself a sandwich or microwave food. Internet quality was very good.
We had hair in our bedsheets when we arrived, asked for replacement sheet. Staff changed it immediately surprised as she said she had just changed them. EXTREMELY noisy ALL the times. We supposedly had the "quiet" room, which was facing the common entrance of an apartment complex. People hung out, smoked, chatted, yelled and arrived late at night from parties and/or ruin bars just across, right in front of our only window in our small room. The feeling of scrutiny killed us and we couldn't even open the curtain at all. Bathroom not cleaned often enough. Toilet paper replacement just left on the deck, not into the container. Shower head was broken by some guy and the shower curtain was not sturdy or the right size -it fell once. Soap was replaced by some guests, and never returned to its original place by the staff. They gave only two medium sized towels for the entire stay for 2 people. When the broken shower head got our towel wet, we asked for a dry towel and they asked for 1 Euro. Apparently, if you want to change your towel before the 5TH DAY of your stay, you are charged for it. We argued the problem with the shower head and didn't get charged for it. Although we didn't use it, the baggage can be left for 1 Euro per bag for one day. If you arrived early and wanted to leave your bags and go enjoy the city until check in, you are charged for it.
Convenient location, good enough space in apt, nice personnel, good priced as of the late booking.
AC did not work properly, just blew out air and no cold air. Make sure to contact the reception to fix it.
1. Clean place 2. Friendly and helpful staff 3. Fairly close to the attractions 4. Cheap
1. The location. It's quite dodgy to walk to the hostel in the night. They are a few homeless people sleeping along the corridor and the road leading towards the hostel is quite dark. 2. Opposite our room is the common place people gather in the morning/night, so we can hear theor conversations clearly if we open the door. 3. No air-conditioner
Great location for a good price, enough space, balcony, kitchen, clean bathroom. Everything that you expect when going for a vacation :)
The flat it was spacious for two people. You have everything in the kitchen if you decide to cook. It was a clean and comfortable flat.
Great location Easy access by public transport The size of the apartment
Apartment was very good and the location excellent!
Large room, good location
Very noisy - loud music from the street, use earplugs! no air condition in the room. Kitchen exists but dirty forks and pans - didn't use it.
Value for money - we stayed in an apartment and it was huge! The staff were friendly and offered advice, very helpful Great location - close to St Stephens Basilica and the Opera as well a selling distance to anywhere you would like to go
Couple of very minor things, part of the shower was broken
The staff was very helpful and nice. The location was excellent. The apartment was even more than I expected, it was spacious and it even had a balcony overlooking the street. It had its own wifi modem, so the connection was perfect. The nights were very quiet, because it is located in an enclosed building block with its own yard (which is lovely btw.) All in all, great value for money!
The beds were a bit rough to sleep on, and the pillows were terrible. It would have also been nice if they had a breakfast offer or at least a caffeteria. But nothing really to hold against. Everything else was just perfect.
Great location, spacious & clean, and very affordable.
Courtyard was a bit noisy, though not as much as you would normally expect from a youth hostel. Closing the window at night solved the problem.
Friendly helpful staff, Big lockers.. Good location..and very good restaurents around..
No sound proofing at all..wen when the tap is open in the toilet next to out room it's very noisy.. Small rooms..small TV..
Separate bath room for women
Noises in the yard at night. My room's window is towards the yard, some people come and talk loudly in the yard.
Great location, apartments are spacious, very clean and very helpful stuff....
