Excellent location, perfectly knowledgable and very useful staff, great classical style of the hotel which is clear and with spaceous rooms and quiet environment.

A slighly worn funiture and walls - which needs refreshing. The lack of elevator/lift (I did not need it at this stage)

Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Remembers me from previous visits.

Location superb - easy to get into Pest. Huge room at the front with lovely view but still quiet at night. Friendly helpful staff. They kept our luggage until the evening on the day we left. Good breakfast.

The coffee was Nescafe from a machine and not freshly brewed.

It is a little bit hard to reach the hotel. Maybe on the hotel site could be mentioned the position and how the hotel could be find by car

It is all about the location - and what a perfect location for the Burg Hotel ! Just fantastic to open the curtains and be in the absolute centre of old Buda - could just step outside and start the exploring ! And at night we were amongst friendly and relaxed restaurants - if you want the high life in Pest then it is a taxi away, but we were after relaxation and culture, and the Burg is ideally situated. The staff were also incredibly nice and helpful - nothing was too much trouble for them - a real credit to the hotel.

First of all of course gorgeous location and window views. Very nice, friendly, professional reception. Large, warm, brightly lit room with a good equipped bathroom. Good breakfast. I liked my stay very much.

My room (106) was a little bit noisy in early mornings, because located at 1 floor with a window right above the city bus stop. Bus sound is pretty loud :) I am pretty sure other rooms, which are a bit aside, probably more quiet.

The hotel is in the best possible location ever: in the Castle. The view from our window was one of the best church in town and the restaurants a round the hotel are almost all Michelin rated restaurant.

The hotel looks horrible from outside. But do not get discouraged, inside the rooms are very nice and big.

Great value for the money, excellent staff, great location in the most beautiful part of Budapest, free internet. The hotel is 4 star in my opinion.

Breakfast could be richer (eventhough I came after 9 A.m), extra - charging for room safe (eventhough it's cheap I don't see a reason for that), no elevator.

the location is rather isolated from the city. Nothing exciting goes around there. need a taxi to get downtown.

Suppose nothing to dislike

The staff at the front desk were very polite and professional, and always in a good mood. The breakfasts were very good and well-arranged, and we were always able to get a table when we wanted to eat. We loved our view of the Matthias Church and Fisherman's Bastion. The best thing is how quiet Castle Hill is at night, when all of the day-trippers have gone.

Location and price

The location is an excellent and inexpensive place to stay right in castle district of Budapest.

The location right by the Fishermen's Bastion and St Mathias church is simply spectacular,views to be enjoyed from the breakfast room. The room was a good size,as was the bathroom,with all the amenities I required. The buffet breakfast was a good Continental style affair,with a good choice of cold cuts and cheeses, and some cakes as well as a nice fruit basket . Reception staff were extremely pleasant,helpful and ready with good advice.

There is no lift,so even with very little luggage it was literally a drag up to the top floor to my room. Lighting in the bathroom could be better,the shower cubicle was pretty much in the dark. Although a lot is made of the fabulous views,my room looked across a narrow backyard onto a high wall

Burg Hotel was very nice. Location is excellent-views outstanding. Hotel staff was very accommodating. Recommendations for dining were spot on. Our room was very nice-clean, neat. Could have used a heavier blanket-tad chilly in the evenings. Breakfast was very good--wide variety of breakfast foods. Coffee machine was great, once again a wide assortment. Had a great stay at the Burg Hotel in Buda!

The best part of the Burg Hotel was the staff. Tomas was very knowledgable about sights to see, transportation options (buses and subways) and places to eat. We followed his recommendations to the letter and never had a problem

It was just one-night stay for Hungaroring Formula 1 visit. We chose that hotel for its location. We've already been to Budapest for several times, with our two sons as well. We wanted another romantic evening on Budim. The elder has just come from his romantic weekend with his girlfriend. Excellent, all in all. All the best
