Location couldn't be better for Castle District. Set in a quiet & leafy residential area just outside the Castle walls, the hotel was only a 5 minute walk to a large variation of fantastic restuarants, interesting shops & the main tourist attractions in Buda. Hotel very clean, staff friendly & helpful & rooms very quiet. It was a joy to stay in a hotel where you weren't disturbed by doors banging or people walking past rooms. Terrace area was lovely & ideal for morning coffee or early evening drinks & food. Breakfast was more than adequate to set us up for the day. We would definitely go back to this hotel Only one minor complaint - the hotel advertises the bar open to 11.00pm however staff seemed reluctunt to serve us at 10.30 & one couple were turned away at 10.40. The staff although very friendly made it obvious they wanted to cash up & we felt pressured to finish our drinks so they could go home!!

The reception staff were excellent eg. they booked concert and opera tickets for us, and gave useful info. when we asked. The taxi link was good and cheaper than other taxis. The location was one of the best in Budapest - quiet yet part of the historic castle area which could easily be explored. We enjoyed one evening meal at the hotel but also had the choice of restaurants in the castle area within walking distance. The Panorama Room was light, comfortable and spacious. We loved the beautiful city of Budapest and the hotel helped define the holiday.

The location just outside the castle walls was excellent, and a steady but gentle climb from the Line 2 metro station. It is a 3 minute walk to the castle gate and 5 min walk to Hospital in the Rock (well worth a visit). The rooms are clean and modern, with large bathrooms and towels and lovely views. The staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with. Breakfast was varied, with wonderful pastries and cold meats and cheese. The coffee machine can be temperamental, but there is a lovely selection of teas. The restaurant was value for money, and set in lovely gardens. There are complimentary soft drinks and hot beverages in the lobby in the afternoons. There is no laundry service offered, which is expected at a 4 star hotel. Laundry and shopping can be done at the Marmut (mammoth) shopping mall just a 5-10 min walk down the hill near the Line No 2 metro station (go behind the McDonalds).

Great location Modern facilities Secure covered parking Comfortable beds Friendly staff Air conditioning very poor, even though hotel is relatively new. Keeping the thermostat at 12 degrees barely kept the room cool. Pillows too small Shower pressure was poor, even though water pressure through tap appeared to be good. No maintenance staff available over the week-end. Insufficient clothes hangers. Staff unable to supply more. Breakfast was poor. No selection of coffee. NEVER enough bacon. Once had to wait 20 minutes for bacon to be prepared. Spoke to management about these issues, was thanked for feedback, but no apology offered.

Clean and comfortable room. Excellent location for visiting Castle Hill; situated in a peaceful cul-de-sac but only 1 minute walk to entrance to Castle walls. Reception staff very helpful. Complimentary welcoming drink a nice touch. Five minute walk to underground station with regular trains into the City Centre, which was just 3 stops away. Air conditioning struggled to cope with the heatwave temperatures. Mediocre buffet breakfast.

Our hotel room was clean and the staff were very friendly and polite. The location was nice to visit the castle area. Our room was facing the front entrance which was on some nights a little noisy when hotel guests arrived or were just talking outside (smoking etc). The airconditioning did not work, we were then given another room which was directly above the restaurant. There was a wedding function on the Saturday night. We had to listen to the loud music until well past midnight. I complained to the manager the next morning who explained that the restaurant was a seperate business to the hotel, but he was very apologetic and we received a discount, which was good to see that management took the complaint serious. The food for breakfast was not that good, one morning the cereal milk was actually off and the fruit always looked half rotten. The service in the restaurant was also bad, dishes not cleaned from the table, not friendly staff etc. It's a shame that the restaurant gives the hotel such a bad image. I would only recommend this hotel if you want to save money and stay during the week to avoid any functions on the weekend. You get what you pay for! Definitely not a 4 star hotel!!!!

It was a modern, clean, very comfortable hotel with very friendly and efficient staff. We would have preferred a room not on the ground floor for a better view.

I love the restaurant in hotel it's so cosy and good food! The room is clean with the bath. The girls on the reception were very helpful and nice. Location is good because it's quiet and close to the old city and to metro station to go down town. I don't know, everything was really perfect!

location - close to Széll Kálmán tér (formerly Moszkva tér) from where you can easily get to any place in town, close to castle district, clean rooms, free afternoon cafe and soft drink bar, good value for your money. Nothing at all, absolutely suitable for your visit to Budapest.

Good restaurant within hotel. Hotel rooms too hot. Single receptionist often overwhelmed by volume of guests. Parking Euros 20 per day - rip off given there was free parking at front of hotel which we were told not to use. We paid extra for a "balcony" which was a waste.

Great hotel. Excellent value for many. It is near the castle so you can enjoy nature and you are just 3 metro stations from the center. I traveled by car and it is no problem to find hotel. Hotel has beautiful terrace and WiFi in every room (free of charge). I will definitely stay in this hotel every time I visit Budapest in the future. Breakfast is not included in room price and it is expensive 7.5 euros per person.

Excellent location - directly adjacent to Buda Castle entrance with easy access to Pest (shopping) either by public transport or 30 minute walk (uphill return!). This hotel offers excellent and very tasteful "understated" interior design and facilities, it's accommodation offers everything anyone could reasonably require - and the staff are warm, friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. The Hotel is located in a nice very quiet district, with easy access to good restaurants in Buda. A wonderfully relaxing stay. Most definitely recommended.

Everything was great! Very cozy & convieniet room with terrace - design looks simple, but all the details are well thought over and of good quality. I felt like at home, nothing disturbed me here. Hotel is just outside the wall of Buda castle district, very quiet place. Coffee during breakfast at the restaurant was really bad (but as I understand, the restaurant is operated by different company than hotel, so not sure, if they can improve this).

Perfect location, right by the castle and several good restaurants like Pierrot and 21. Also just a 5min walk to the Mammut mall. 5Euro taxi fare to anywhere you want to be. Clean and tidy, staff very professional. Good breakfast. Perhaps the lack of wifi on the higher floors, but that could be a plus considering you are looking for some rest.
