Big spacious bedrooms and bathroom. Excellent WiFi. Lovely hotel. Unfortunately only stayed the night, wish it was more! Within reasonable walking distance to the metro.
Great location for sightseeing in buda but if your looking for more action stay in pest.
Although the bedding was not clean, but the bed was comfortable.
Dirty room and bedding.Poor breakfast
Good location by the castle walls. Nice, clean rooms. Helpful staff.
The wifi was pretty slow in our room. Car parking by the hotel can be troublesome.
Sightseeing Good food Nice architecture Hotel Parking
For this hotel I don’t have any complains.
Clean, functional facilities. Great location.
We had the Panorama Room from where one could admire the beautiful Budapest. It's the second time we stay here and we will definitely come back. Excellent location and value for money.
10mins walking to metro. Free wifi. Complimentary tea/coffee between 11am and 5pm. Relatively cheap garage parking / 10 EUR/night.
Bed sheets smelling very bad (like they were stored in an old closet for years), toilet smelling of urine, dirty carpets and dirty walls inside of our room. Wellness not free of charge. Expensive breakfast. Panorama room not available to guests (only "VIP"),
- location - underground secured parking (we left the ski equipment in the car during the night) - the design of the rooms - excellent WiFi
- cleaning could be better - missing of the hangers in the bathroom - missing of the solid soap. I hate to use liquid soap for washing on the face - we ate pasta at the restaurant and it was the worst pasta that we ever ate (insufficient boiled, it was like chewing gum)
We loved the modern rooms, the pleasant staff and the free wifi is great. We also enjoyed complimentary beverages in the lobby and the excellent local knowledge.
Nothing, one thing I would advise anybody booking here though is its up a steep hill.
The restaurant next door was delicious; highly recommend eating next door at least once. The kitchen is open until about 22:00/22:30.
I really wanted to like this place. The location was pretty but difficult to get to with public transit. The staff was not very pleasant and despite reporting problems with the room (e.g., water pressure poor, phone not working, need of laundry but no bag), they attempted to resolve but were not successful. At check out they asked how I liked my stay and I replied it was 'okay' and, surprisingly, they didn't inquire further. I think the hotel would best cater to older couples or those looking to relax and not tourist or explore around. Also, the taxi they sent for me was a rip off: I paid in euros and he gave me an exchange rate of 1:250... that day it was 1:310.
The hotel is located right next to the gate of the castle. It has all the facilities and quality that you can expect from a 4-star hotel.
The two individual beds were pushed together to form a matrimonial bed, however, there was a big gap between the two beds making it very uncomfortable.
Great location:peacefull Buda castle enviroment, 5 minutes to metro station. Good value for money.
1) Friendly, competent staff/ waiters. 2) No complications at check-in/out. 3) Clean, well-equipped, modern room with a beautiful view of Budapest (panorama room) 4) Literally at the gate of the Castle district 5) Super yummy restaurant in-house (15% off) 6) Free beverages at the lobby! 7) Minutes from the metro... :) <3
position and comfort
parking is expensive
Location and the possibility to use the parking lot across the street free of charge on the weekend. The staff very helpful and friendly and gave us a radiator.
There is a two hours / day heating program for the bathroom radiator and no matter at wich hour we were in the room we never found it hot. I felt like we were in the communist era . At a four star hotel I should be able to choose on my own how warm or cool my room should be.
Location is excelent! Half way between short Wilkins distance to train station and Budavar Castle ! I was impresari with the little restaurant, though breakfast plenty of options English breakfast was cooked using to much salt in everything. Never had such a salty bacon or mushrooms. This is the only critic I have.
In the room the bed smelled funny. Sheets looked clean but smelled weird. Not fresh. Room was clean but...
On check in friendly staff greet you and make you feel like a person. Not a number. Complimentary coffee water coke and juice awaits you in the lobby all day. The dinners are huge plates of food and unbelievably priced. As in feeding two people to the point of explosion for $38NZD or €25. Right in the middle of the castle district perfect for sight seeing. Phenomenal value at €70 for two night stay. Rrp €125 per night in the room we got. Wow!
Breakfast at €10 per person per day seems a little off priced considering dinner was €11-12. But we arranged our own and saved on breakfast.
A very nice hotel and my room had a patio. The restaurant was also very nice. I would go back again instantly.
A little off beat.
Almost everything is very good. Location is great for sightseeing old castle etc. but less good for people that want to be close to fun and crowd in Pesta area.
Although the exchange rates for Hungarian forint went from 305 (buy) - 320 (sell) per 1 €, hotel charged 325 forint per 1 €. I have payed with card but still it made my stay 3-4 € more expensive then it was ment to be in my booking. It´s not much but it irritates.
Wonderful hotel - perfect location close to the Buda castle; helpful staff, nice parking, cosy rooms. We liked everything about this hotel.
Using the sauna/fitness facilities isn't free. Neither this, nor a price is stated anywhere, giving the impression it is included in the price.
It was my third stay at Castle Garden Hotel. The standard was excellent as always, helpful staff, good restaurant, clean room. And the location is simply perfect.
Simply the best
