Hotel Central Basilica    

Everything was just perfect for a short city trip. Central location, quiet, clean and nice rooms, reasonable price, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel was in a great location in the city. The staff very friendly especially the reception staff I had a problem with my back and they all did as much as they could to help me so once again thanks to all of them. The breakfast was very good. and the hotel was always very clean. We hope to stay there again.

Location fantastic close to Bazilica, eating places, ice cream parlour an wine bars all reasonably priced. Staff friendly. Would go back again as location is perfect.

Bed rather uncomfortable for us. But maybe were picky. Would have preferred walk in shower rather than bath with shower hose which always gets the floor wet. But these are minor issues.

The staff were helpful. The room was comfortable, and the hotel was right next to St Stephen's Basilica. The tour buses stop at St Stephen's Basilica which was helpful.

The towels in the bathroom weren't changed as much as I would have expected.

staff is very friendly and helpful; best position ever, right next to the basilica. rooms are confortable, breakfast excellent. you pay for a 3 stars but get the value of a 4stars.

The hotel is very nicely located. The staff was helpful. It is very quiet, nicely furnished with new furniture. The room was small but just enough for one person.

Wi fi was not working. The staff could not fix it so, I had to use a cable. Light in the corridors is could be better.

Location was excellent as were the staff. Breakfasts were substantial, fresh fruit very nice. Pre visit arranged taxi transfer, this was excellent.

It would have been useful to have coffee making facilities in the rooms.

Amazing hotel. You can not even imagine a better location. Just in front of Basilica. Big rooms, very clean, good breakfast. Staff was really very helpful with very good English.

Location Perfect for siteseeing, large rooms good aircon, full continental breakfast very fresh. Clean rooms. very helful staff with all requests.

Low beds to floor but did not interfier with sleep.

Convenient position; helpful and friendly staff; clean and comfortable room. Nice breakfast except for the scrambled egg made from powder !

The bathroom was large and modern but there was nowhere to put washbag etc other than on the floor. There were no hooks to hang things in the bathroom. The TV in the room was in an awkward position the watch it comfortably. Mini safe was difficult to access as it was on the floor of the wardroble.

The location was fantastic and very good value for money. The free entry to the oldest Spa Baths (Szechecuine?? - can't remember proper spelling) was a bonus provided by the hotel.

The room was a bit dark and dingy (poor, low-quality lighting) and didn't have any coat or clothes hooks to hang up anything apart from 3 coathangers in the wardrobe!

The location was very nice.

I like softer and fuller pillows. The ones available were very flat and tended to be hard. Personal preference. Bathroom needed a shelf for toiletry bag.

Cannot fault the location or price. Fantastic. Close to everything we wanted to see/do and such a nice hotel for the price. Breakfast was great and filling. The winter saver promotion was great value for money.

The only fault was the receptionist we dealt with throughout our stay. When we arrived we enquired about visiting some caves but he just told us to "think twice" about going... Not very appealing. The next day we asked about booking tickets for Memento Park with the promotion voucher we got at the hotel. He told us we had to book via the hotel but that he was sure the Park was "closed forever"! This is not true! The park is still open. We found the bus to the park by ourselves but we lost out on the 30% discount because the receptionist told us we had to use the voucher at reception (also not true! You could use it on the bus!). Eventually we avoided asking him for any help and we asked staff at restaurants etc instead as they were much kinder. He does not do a good job of promoting the great city of Budapest! It seems like he wants everyone to have a bad time!

The hotel location is awesome, you can pretty much walk everywhere from there. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Well located and priced for what we needed

Central Location, Helpfulness of staff (they contacted me via email prior to departure to confirm booking and ask if they could help in any way). Rooms were comfortable and suitably equipped. As we travelled as a party we were able to book two bedroomed suites with two bathrooms to share and keep costs down. This is a well situated hotel which is a good base for a weekend break.

Rooms at front of hotel, although with a better view, are noisy due to street below and bars. Also St Stephen's Basilica bells start ringing at 6.00am. Unfortunately there was very noisy building work going on across the road from the hotel which will apparently continue for at least another year! Double glazing did help a bit but rooms were very warm and we had to have windows open!
