I can highly recommend this hostel. If you need to stay in Budapest for few days, It's the best choice.
very friendly lady
The management are very helpful welcoming & kind.Location is excellent.Beds very comfy rooms very spacious & nice and quiet. Would visit again.
Due to Hungary not having Euros a credit card machine should be available for payment. Internet is not always available 24 hrs as when staff is not there (10pm - next morning) & reception laptop is off internet doesn't work.
I really appreciated the kindness of the owner. All was clean and well organized.
Finding the entrance and building
Central location , staff is excellent , t
You have to wait until 14 to check in.
We loved how clean the place was. The location. The size of the room. The free towels and clean linen!
The only complain't was that we had to let people in during the night who were locked out... make sure if you stay that you tell them your arrival time so you aren't locked out. Kitchen has toaster oven and microwave but no stove top.
Close to center
Noisy and crowded outside all night Totally lacking light at staircase, had to use hp torch
1. Sound isolation is very poor. 2.Its not easy to find a parking place.
well designed clean clean and new showers great location just near vaci utca and the Elisabeth Bridge
the walls are bit thin so you might hear noise from the corridor
The price, location and staff
lots of stairs!
Very central, nice old building, helpful older lady at the reception, view down on the street from room, fresh shared bathrooms
The only thing I didn't like was that they had exchange rate 1EUR for 258HUF..
Price Centrum distance Slovak beer pub nearby :) metro is very close Smell of old town
Hostel is at third floor with no elevator. Smell of old town
Kitchen facilities were bad.
Nice and modern hostel like appartement, on the third floor of a building. You share three showers and toilets and one kitchen with 6 other rooms. There were a few setbacks, but for this price, those things can be expected...
We had very squeeky beds, that woke me up every time I turned. We both woke up with back aches from the thin matrasses. Also, when a book fell behind the bed, it came out covered in dust, so is wasn't very clean.
Clean and spacious rooms, a friendly host and very central location (approx. 300 meters to the metro line M3 "Ferenciek tere" or 600 meters to M4/M3 "Kálvin tér").
As mentioned in other reviews, there are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the apartment.
Rooms are small but really comfortable. Bathrooms and rooms are really clean. There is a fridge in the room and coffee machine in the kitchen. Interior design is simple but new. Close to metro station and markets. Also you can walk to the city centre with ease. There are several bars close to the hostel. For this money facilities are enough. If you like quads you will like this place especially when it's raining.
Entrance of the building can be really frightening for some people. Long stairs can be really hard for old people and the ones who had a long day. There is nobody on reception desk for entire 3 days, only when we were cheking in.
Phenomenal location, everything you should see is nerby. We bought a daily transport ticket and almoust did not use it. If you park your car at Arena Plaza you will avoid expensive parking (cca 20 euro/day). Place is prety quiet, and if you are there for sight seeing it is a great deal.
I asked for earlier check in and it was not alowed, and I had dificulties finding it.
Old building but the floor where the hostel is more than correct. Situation of the hostel excellent.
Some hours of the day without hot water.
The location was good and the building itself was authentic.
The main problem was that they tried to overcharge us by EUR 100 - due to me making the booking my boyfriend didn't know how much the rooms would cost and City Rooms exploited that by adding the extra amount onto the bill. Later that night we've found out about this and they gave the money back but this is still a dirty little tactic used by them (I'm sure we were not the first ones and not the last either).
