The location of hotel for shopping, trams, local buses, restaurants, river cruises and more can not be beaten all within few minutes walk, this is the only reason i would recommend this hotel. Breakfast adequate however if you get there after 9am not much choice. The hotel has too many steps and different annexes. Staff were mediocre not very helpful. Bathroom basin leaked. Room on noisy sideroad. |

The restaurant is excellent with a very good breakfast and the dinner is very special with Hungarian food and music. Unfortunately the rooms at the front of the hotel are very noisy if the windows are open (necessary because of the heat and lack of air conditioning), and the curtains are totally inadequate and barely cover the windows. |

the location is winning - quite close to the river and the boat cruises, the busy Vaci Street is just around the corner. The hotel seemed quiet. I was given a single room about half the size of a normal hotel room with no view. They said it's eigher the view or air conditioning. A/c in the room didn't work. Had trouble finding electric plugs. Breakfast package for my early departure left much to be desired. Travelers should know that there are plenty of stairs to climb with no elevators. |

Excellent position for exploring Budapest. Close to sights, restaurants, shops. Good breakfast. The entrance is very off-puting. The lift is very small. |

The staff was wonderful, and vey accomidating. They exchanged USD and Euro's into fornits, and explained the exchange rate to us prior to our going shopping. They reserved us a taxi, as was needed, and guarenteed us our rate and destination. The resturant in the hotel had a wonderful contenential breakfast, and gourmet dinners. The musicians in the hotel at dinner time made you feel that they played each song for you, and it just added to the experience. There is no AC in any of the rooms in the hotel. I did not even think to ask about this during booking. The hotel upgrade project began every morning at 7AM, and construction was quite loud for such an early hour. The elevator was rather tight for more than two people, and there is a hotel upgrade project going on in the hotel with is worth waiting for. |

Ready access to the popular shopping Street (Vaci Utca); the City Markets (at the end of the Vaci Utca) and the Hop-on Hop-off bus service The entry from the street was 'unappealing' especially when entered via the foyer with the rubbish bins inside. |

It was close to the city centre and the river danube so was good for exploring Budapest. Some of the rooms are tired and in need of a facelift. Some of the rooms have air conditioning and some don't so its luck of the draw. The staff were helpful and generally the hotel was ok for the price. |

This hotel is fantastically located for shopping on nearby Vaci Street and the market. For historical sites you need a guide/car/bus--though you can see them from afar. Most remarkable is the adjoining restaurant, Matyas Pince, with fine Hungarian cuisine and an amazing spread at the breakfast buffet. Our room was small, clean, and adequate for the little time we spent in it. I think they offered laundry service, which was not available. |

Very wide choice for breakfast and good value evening meals, both in a very characterful decorated cellar area. The courtyard room was very quiet and comfortable. Staff were all very helpful and efficient, and spoke English. Location is ideal for exploring Buda and central Pest on foot. |

The hotel was in a great location and it was terrific value for money. Room was clean although basic. Wouldn't stay in height of summer as there was no air conditioning and the location meant lots of traffic so it wasn't feasible to open window at night. |

Book into double non smoking, on arrival were given twin smoking room. Changed rooms for last two nights to that booked. At least the initial room had both curtains and an ability to circulate air. |

We did like the location as it was very close to the tram which we used quite a bit. The hotel was not up to the standard that we thought we were getting. We did not expect luxury but the accomodations could have been a bit more updated. Our room had only one curtain on the windows and we had no way of keeping the light out or the noise of the street when it was time to go to sleep. |

The room was extremely spacious. Actually, there were two rooms: one with a couch and two big armchairs (including a TV set) and another one with a big bed, a nice desk and the wardrobe. There was also a hall. The hotel is close to everything. We could not have chosen a better place to stay. The only thing I did not like is that there was no view. The room overlooked a patio but as we were out all day long it was not a problem. Women must know that there was no hair-dryer. |
