Continental Hotel ZaraDohány u. 42-44, 07. Erzsébetváros, 1074 Budapest (Show map) Excellent, Score from 1881 reviews“It was nice and new. Lots of spaces where one could have some privacy. Busy yet not noisy. Excellent restaurant. Good rooms and my wife liked the pool. Clientele pleasant and well behaved. Nice design touches inn decor. Close to metro and tram lines. Quiet street. Excellent value given the standards of the place. Most impressed.”

The service from the valets/concierge was extremely helpful, either with assisting with parking or help in finding places within the city. Be careful about checking whether breakfast is included or not. We were told it was and then charged for the meal when we were half way through eating it - which, while only 15 euros was one of the most expensive meals we had in Budapest, you can even eat in the hotel's own restaurant in the evening and spend less than they charge for breakfast. Both the reception and the waitress at the restaurant in the morning failed to provide us with the correct information and management refused to refund us with the charge, so make sure you check if your breakfast is really included and better still, eat breakfast at one of the many lovely cafes in Budapest - for much, much less than they charge for this breakfast.

I had made a reservation online and had to change it at the last minute. While this was not possible under the terms of my reservation, I called the hotel and they made it happen. Upon arrival I was upgraded to a deluxe room. However, at the moment of going to sleep I noticed a loud noise coming from the air vents. The reception sent up someone who offered to fix it the next day. My wife asked to change rooms. After half an hour the same person came up with the keys to a new room, which were handed to us with a grunt. The overall interaction with the staff during that night was extremely disappointing. A definite show-stopper at this price level.

Very good value, modern design hotel. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment - too many punters, closely packed in. Coffee was not the best (from a machine).

Great hotel in a great location making the City of Budapest very accessible. Hotel is of a great standard and anybody staying there wouldn't be disappointed. Staff are extremely helpful and cannot do enough to help, still trying to figure out how the concierge was able to book our taxi back to the airport before we even asked. Definitely would recommend hotel to friends/family looking for a great weekend in Budapest Nothing hotel was great

It was quite conveniently located, about 5-10 minutes' walk from Deak Ter, and the room itself was quite comfortable. The staff in the lobby were very helpful. Lack of hot drinks facilities in the room. While we got the room at a 75% discount, it was still more expensive than other, better-equipped rooms that I stayed in on our trip. For the 'normal' price, the lack of in-room facilities is inexcusable.

The room`s comfort. If you consider go to Budapest by train, the best option to go to the hotel is via taxi.

Good hotel with reasonable rates provided by Booking.com. Typical rates are unreasonably to high. Clean, spacious, executive room and nice pool on the roof. Free internet access what is crucial for business travelers. Also good breakfast services with the tables on nice courtyard. Be careful with hotel Taxi !!! Always ask Concierge to call Tele Taxi or any other. Hotel Taxi overcharging approx. 50%

It was a weekend trip to Budapest with my friend. I very much liked staff, they were helpfull and smiley!!! Location was good, walking distance to the most of attractive turist places, even thought we really walked a lot. Metro & tram or taxi is very convinietnt way to get around as well. I would recommend the hotel for short stay (2-3nights max) The breakfast was good (nothing spectacular, but good), however I was shocked with juice- ok it wasn't freshly sqeezed, that's fine with me, but it was this kind of artificial powder mixed withthe water! That was so bad for 4*+ hotel, I mean I would be ok with juice from box, that was terrible. Wellness is very very small, I really mean tiny. Well I didn't expect olympic pool.., but... sauna is max. for 2 people, it is really that small, gym, has only 2 machines for running (3rd one out of order), no matts for sit ups or streching. But guess, you can have water for breafast and long walks instead of wellness :-))

“I felt the hotel and staff were an oasis for my son and I on our European trip. Definitely not American, but the best of European hospitality and modern design. But still comfortable and approachable. I am an architect and would like to incorporate the hotel's features into my next hotel design. Excellent staff, helped me retrieve my luggage, even though I was in Pecs for five days.” Istvan, Pensacola |
