Continental Hotel Zara

The Hotel was really good value for money and in a good location. Also, the breakfast was nice.

I booked also a room for 3 people, but I was not given a proper bed and it was rather some cushions on a wooden bench. In addition, we had to ask for a pillow, sheet and comforter for it... However, I did not complain when we checked out b/c the rest of the hotel and service were nice enough.

The hotel restaurant was very good, for dinner on the first evening, the service was a little poor on the second occassion but the food was excellent. The food at breakfast was excellent, large range of hot and cold food, with several types of bread. Excellent.

Breakfast was awful if you wanted to eat at 8.30am to 9.00am. The first day I had coffee spilt over me in the mahem around the buffet table.The coffee machine could not cope with the volumes required, and was of very poor quality. Coffee in the evening was excellent, why could they not offer this at breakfast?

Very nicely renovated interior, clean and comfortable. Front desk staff helpful and polite. A couple of staff to help to rotate the enormous revolving door. Close to a tram and metro line.

The superior double room was rather small - no chair at a narrow desk, not much room to get around the bed, not enough space for two suitcases. The layout arrangements for breakfast were chaotic when the room was full (which it was during our 7 night stay). One self-service coffee machine, people pushing their way past one queue to get to another. Would not be difficult to plan this better. Many staff standing around whose only function seemed to be to whip away one's plate as soon as there was no food on it.

Cleanliness, superb friendliness and support of staff, good facilities, quiet spot. They helped me locate a lost suitcase very well; nothing was too much trouble. Felt a safe and secure hotel. Breakfasts substantial, excellent food and service. Great value. Would return without hesitation.

The hotel is very nice and the employees are helpful. I asked for an ironing board at 23.30 and I got it rather fast (although normally in that hotel one should pay for the ironing service). Very good breakfast too. Rooms are really nice although a bit small. Convenient location. I think I will go back.

The window was not opening. In a smoking room that's not so convenient. I'm pretty sure this issue can be easily solved.

Breakfast was very poor. They provided well below the minimum for the number of guests. Bring your own coffee, table, chairs and cutlery and out them in reception and you can join the others.

This was my second stay at this hotel. It was a pleasure to walk into that impressive reception area again, and I also enjoyed sitting in the Gallery bar for some food and drink. Room was again comfortable with a useful laptop-size safe and well-stocked minibar.

When you take a shower and discover that the floor is wet don't be surprised. The shower screen hangs on a pivot and there is a 5mm gap between the pivot and the bath itself. Both my rooms were like that, so it's not a one-off.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was super and the location ideal, in the center and near the means of transport.

There isn't anything that needs to be changed. This hotel fits all standards.

I enjoyed the politeness of the all the employees, the fact everyone had a good English language level. The rooms are modernly decorated, clean and comfortable. Last but not least the lobby, galleria and courtyards are beautiful and make you fell good.

Style, Service and all other apects nearly perfect. will go there again for sure!

The hotel is adequated to spend some days. The staff is very nice and the space simple, clean and modern. The location is good and central.

The standard rooms are too small.

Hotel is beautiful inside, with a very impressive and imposing reception area. There are plenty of places to sit, both inside and out. The Gallery is a great place to sit and relax, with good food and drink at reasonable prices. Wireless internet worked well. Rooms are comfortable and size-wise ok for a city centre hotel. Bathroom is well equipped. Buffet breakfast has a good selection of hot and cold items, but if you're on your own and go to the machine for another cup of coffee don't be surprised if your plate has been wheeched away when you get back.

Be aware that they will pre-authorise your credit card for the total cost of your stay + 20 eur when you check in. Opening hours of the spa / fitness room aren't great if you're on a tight schedule: it doesn't open until 7am which is too late for business users who want to exercise in the morning. Bathroom lighting could be better: if you 'put your face on' in there you're braver than I am. I had a poor night's sleep my second night because of noise from the street. I only discovered in the morning that someone had opened my window while I was out the day before. Rooms seem to have been designed by someone who is 1.7m tall, if the wall mirror and shower head positions are a guide.
