Easy to find. The executive double room was small and the 1 persons bathroom outdated with a plastic shower handle over the bath. On arrival we decided to have our dinner in the hotel restaurant. After 25 minutes our drinks had still not arrived and the waiter was nowhere to be seen, so we decided to tell the restaurant manager that we were leaving and the only reaction was: ok! The breakfast was poor and the ordered omelette tasted like rubber. Parking is very expensive. We wonder why there have to be executive rooms and lounge. Should a 5 star hotel not be "executive" overall. A disappointment and never again.

It offered a lot of luxuries for the price we paid. The location was a bit far . from city centre but in a good neighbourhood with excellent transportation. If I ever visit Budapest again I will defenetaly stay again in Ramada Plaza. The fact that they preauthorized my credit card for 40.000 huf It is a big amount just for insurance...

Even though we didn't use it too much, I liked the fact that we had open access to the pool. The staff was really helpfull and friendly spoke Engliah, ordered taxi to pick us up from town in the middle of the night... Room and bathroom were cleaned daily, and there was free tea and coffee in the room for when we woke up. Only thing was that we ordered a king size bed and we got too singles that we then put together, so was't that tragic. :-)

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was at a very high level. Some of the earlier postings about the hotel seemed to indicate that this might be a problem area, but everyone we met- in reception or the bar area, the taxi drivers were friendly and informative. It was cheap and easy to get a 72 hour travel pass so we could use the public transport system to get into the city centre with no problems. There were a number of small bars and restaurants in the immediate neighbourhood in any case, so we enjoyed staying local and making new friends. The pools and spa were wonderfully relaxing too. We had a very enjoyable stay-thank you!

I loved spa centre - 3 swimming pools and 4 saunas, massage and fitness. The rooms were comfortable, the big advantage was to take executive room - all day refreshment for us, soft drinks and pastries...so aftzer swimming we could have a coffee, tea, juice and snack in executive room on the 1st floor. The restaurant serves only few kinds of dishes. We could not hardly choose any. The hotel is quite far from the city centre, but taxi is always waiting for quests. The price for parking is not included in the price of room, even we had execute room - much expensive than classic room.

To be honest, only location was OK, but only if with car. Personnel was not very helping. Hotel charges extra for all services (except for the bed); parking spot at front of the hotel was charged, the SPAs was charged extra. For 5* hotel this is not acceptable. We got the feeling that the Hungarians' can not be trusted at all.

The mattress is marvelous and the thermal pool at 38 degrees is a fantastic after sightseeing all day long!! 2 major points: Location and overpriced breakfast. Location: the hotel is marvelous but far from the city´s attractions. If you are not driving and if you are not familiar with hungarian good enought to take public transportation you should consider another place, or you will spend a lot opf money with taxis! (They do offer a shuttle to a square downtown but only 3 times a day and you have to schedule 24 hours in advance). Breakfast at 18 euros is absurd - dont pay for it, the room has a pot for heating water and free capuccino powder that heps a lot - and then go to the local train station , almost in front of the hotel, there is a very delicious bakery kiosk ( I trioed there the best schoko croissant I have ever had, and I have travelled a lot and eaten a lot of them all over the world!)

Great breakfast, Hotel is close to the city center (if you do not mind to travel with train for few minutes), SPA was great however a bit crowded, Staff was friendly and O.K. Bad mattress - we were forced to sleep on ground because it was way too soft, bathroom had no ventilator, Double bed was created from two single beds and was not comfortable at all, When you come to the hotel reservation is deducted from your account and the reservation is still not cancelled after leaving hotel

- The hotel room was better than in the pictures and very clean! It's more family oriented. - The staff was friendly but one of the male receptionists couldn't speak English well which was somewhat of a problem. - It was a 2-minute walk from the nearest tram stop. - Nice to have complimentary access to the swimming pool-area and also complimentary bottles of water in the room. - The bed was extremely soft! We left having a back pain. - The spa area wasn't as expected, because it consists mainly of 3 different swimming pools, a tiny Jacuzzi, and dry and steam saunas. (If it was adverted as having swimming pools this wouldn't be a con - but swimming pools aren't considered as 'Spa' ) - You need to change 3 tram stops to go to the centre (it takes approx. 15 mins with waiting time).

Clean and modern. Good size indoor pool but although supposedly heated, water too cold. Thermal pools ok. Location inconvenient. Even paying £35/night, it wasn't worth the hassle of being well away from city centre. We had stayed in Ibis City previously and paid the same but worth it. Beware, they gave us room with river view which we thought was complimentary and having prepaid for the room in advance, they still tried to charge us extra for the river view at the check out. They backed down in the end but it was unnecessary hassle.
