La situació de l'hotel era bona. Les instal.lacions de l'hotel com a tal són molt maques. El servei no ens ha agradat. Sense cap amabilitat. A més, vem tenir un incident greu que un hotel de 5 estrelles no es pot permetre. La segona nit a l'habitació ens vem trobar una aranya del tamany d'una pilota de golf amb cos i potes dures molt asquerosa. Ens vam queixar a la recepcionista de la "executive zone" i res més va passar. Ni una disculpa ni un canvi d'habitació, ni una compensació econòmica ni res. La meva dona està embarassada i té certa fòbia a les aranyes i no va dormir gens la resta de dies (4). L'últim dia en el moment de liquidar l'habitació vem haver d'insistir i ens venen amb que ens paguen el taxi cap a l'aeroport. És inacceptable trobar-se en una situació així i que un hotel de 5 estrelles no sàpiga respondre a temps. |

This is definitely a luxury hotel, suitable for a special ocassion. The staff made us feel very welcome, including a free room upgrade and bottle of wine as it was our honeymoon. Breakfast was excellent. |

Wonderful value for money. A top class hotel - I strongly recommend upgrading to the Executive Club - breakfast, lunch, cocktail 'hour' (6-10) and supper included. A real treat! Be warned - this hotel is so wonderful that you may not see much of Budapest... I spent lots of time in the spa - also included in the room rate. This is a gay friendly hotel - my partner and I we made to feel very welcome and there were also other gay couples staying at the hotel. |

The accommodation in the apartment suited our needs very well. The garden provided a quiet sanctuary in the heat of the city. We used the tram which stops right outside and there is a hotel taxi (rates are fixed price) for other trips. The kitchen facilities were well fitted. The service in the bistro restaurant was slow, which was disappointing. The location of the hotel is not terribly pretty, yet it is central and convenient. |

Super hotel, with lovely staff, the executive rooms are definitely worth the extra. Beautiful spa. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite! |

I loved that the tram was outside the door, 40 steps or so. A very convenient location. I reco you walk around the corner and check out the Alexandra bookstore. They have the most beautiful coffee cafe I have seen in the world! It's spectacular! The bathroom was the size of my shower at home. You could not order breakfast off of a menu,you had to do the buffet for 30 Euro! Forced feeding! |

The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of good food and the omlets made to order were wonderful. Some of the food in the breakfast buffet was not hot, ie. scrambled eggs. |

When we arrived, some major work was going on at the front, much of wihch was covered with plastic sheets, but actually this made our entrance into the building even more exciting. The elegance and the grandeur of it! Its historic name 'Grand Hotel Royal' shows it all. A junior suite they gave us (kindly upgraded us) was more than perfect for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff were friendly and attentive, and all the other facilities including the spa were excellent. The concierge was particularly helpful. Buffet breakfast was rather expensive. (But it did include champagne!) |

A thoroughly pleasant stay. It was well worth booking the executive room due to the extra benefits. We had problems with background noise on the first evening but were given a quiet room on the second evening. |
