having to come home!
My partner and I visited this hotel for our five year anniversary. Upon arrival we received a free upgrade from a superior room to a deluxe suite and had champagne and strawberries delivered to our room shortly after arriving. The building is absolutely stunning, as is the spa and the hotel staff are very accommodating. Possibly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I will definitely be returning the next time I visit Budapest.
Staff, location, SPA area, room service, breakfast.
The mattress was uncomfortable.
The concierge was very helpful with restaurant booking and suggestion.
The front office staff was not carefully paid attention to what I asked. When I wanted to send the post card, he asked me to go to souvenir shop while it was closing (7.30 am). When I came back, he said the concierge will take care of it. I think compared to other hotels I have been when thefront staff can just take care of this simple matter for customers easily and smoothly.
A lovely hotel generally - will come back
Regarding the Spa - the pool water was too cold. I asked it they could increase the temperature and they said no, that it was at a fixed temperature. The whirlpool should also have been quite a bit warmer, but was tolerable
This is definitely one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. It's perfect in every way, and the price is wonderful.
The ambiance, room size, all the facilities. Excellent bath room.
A bit expensive. Carpet is showing ware in the room. Location is a 25 minute walk to the Danube... Suggest to stay by the river...that is Budapest at its best, specially at night time...
We really enjoyed the executive lounge and the facilities including the Spa. All the staff were very helpful and polite including the cleaning staff. We will certainly return to the Corinthia Hotel again.
Our stay would have been improved had there been better facilities for tea making in our room ie a kettle, milk and better quality tea.
It's just a lovely restoration of an important Budapest location. Information provided around different iterations of the hotel and it's history are fascinating.
The food was good, but they should expand accessibility of the Bistro style restaurant and not use so much space for the good but less interesting international and asian inspired food venues. Breakfast quite pricey.
The hotel is simply marvellous!!!!
Air-conditioning was not working properly.
The bed matress realy worn out.
Architecture of the hotel is stunning including the spa.
Choose your time to visit the spa carefully as it becomes crowded very quickly - it's pretty small. The mini bar prices are ridiculous considering where the hotel is ie you'd pay the same in a 5 star New York hotel. Similarly the spa treatments are what you'd expect to pay in Western Europe ie the prices aren't aligned with the local economy.
Location, helpful staff, lovely room, inviting lobby, attentive concierge and very clean.
The spa facilities are amazing. Clean, modern, great facilities. Coming back to the hotel after spending the day in the city was the real holiday! Great staff with lots of good advice on what to do in the city and where to eat. Rooms were so wonderful. Large and comfortable. Bathrooms were large, modern and clean.
Mattress was a little sunken in and not very luxurious.
Absolutely everything! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel was beautiful, with very comfortable rooms. The spa was second to none. I really cannot find anything to fault this hotel, even the price was reasonable for a hotel of such high quality.
The all inclusive Executive Club
location - access to executive lounge - top service concierge - size of the room (superior)
executive lounge staff (both front desk and food side) are not helpful nor service oriented - old beds are insane for a 5* hotel - rooms are not well soundproofs - spa is very expensive for the city
The hotel is beautiful, and the location suited us very well. The staff was helpful and courteous. We upgraded to the Executive Level and enjoyed the extra amenities including the breakfasts and happy hour. We thought it was a very good value for such a luxurious facility.
We found everything about our stay to be flawless...
We really struggled to find something negative...ok, after the first evening, the moisture in the bathroom toiletries wasn't renewed (really!). Seriously though, we did find the cost of breakfast a bit steep...
The spa was fantastic and the employees extremely nice and helpful.
