Cost-inexpensive. friendly staff.
No accessible sockets, particularly in the bathroom. The room I stayed in only had one socket in the bathroom which was about the door. I ended up having an accident trying to reach the socket. End up breaking a bone in my leg and having surgery. won't be able to walk for a couple months. Something as simple as having easy access to sockets in the bathroom would have avoided all this.
the breakfast room had atmosphere
The bed was not good, I asked for another one. They promised to replace it, but either they forgot or they didn't bother. The plumbing was clogged I think, because the water in the sink(which was cracked) and the bathtub took very long time disappear. The wallpaper was loose some places in the room, the chairs had som holes in them.
Perfect location close to western railway station, in the neighbourhood lot of pubs bars and restaurants, clean room, 30 minutes walk to Lánchid,
Breakfast could be more diversified.
Good location - Railway station and metro station 5 minut walk
In hotel can´t pay by debet/credit card. Staff say that is a temporal problem, but it is a constantly problem.
Hotel lobby was nicely appointed. Value to price ratio was acceptable.
Room had no window. Breakfast was inferior. Poker club in basement attracted smokey single men.
Nothing this place was awful
Ac did not work coffee maker didn't work hair dryer didn't work filthy carpet wallpaper peeling this is not shabby chic-its just shabby dodgy location this hotel is not tired it's on life support
location in the center thematic equipment english speaking staff breakfast
noisy airconditioning all night creaking beds poor coffeemachine Danube ship trip (not related to the hotel)
We have read that a lot of clients complained about noises in their rooms, therefore we asked for a quiet double room. We have received Charlie Chaplin room, and although the room seemed small, it was enough for us. It was quiet and clean. It is on the second floor (the highest in the hotel), the first to the left with a view on the back street, so it was really quiet - we didn't hear other guests and concerts happening in the Cotton Club downstairs. Finally, of all hotels we've been to, we have received a very comfortable DOUBLE bed in a three star hotel - usually this was a twin bed put together. We have also taken the opportunity to go for a jazz/pop concert that is held every last Thursday of a month. It created an unusual atmosphere together with the decor of the hotel and the club. When it comes to the location, it is close to two metro stations (you can easily get to the most important parts of the town) and to Jokai ter full of restaurants and pubs.
There was a problem with the pressure in the water pipes - hopefully it was temporary, because it has waken up us several times. The air conditioning didn't work - we were able to use only ventilation and hot air. Luckily, we didn't have to use a lot of cold air.
- Actually it is the worst hotel I have visited. Photos differ from booking.com site. Provided a room of the low category than booked, no windows! Breakfast was included but was unavailable in the hotel. Restaurant closed. Extremely low WiFi signal. The night bar located on 0 level, with loud music spreading throughout the hotel rooms.
Each room is differently decorated, very close to the city centre, you don't need the subway at all, very friendly staff, relatively big rooms. Wi-fi works great. Beautiful and stylish.
As the hotel is in an old, renovated building it is not sound proof, you can hear every noise from other rooms.
Great location, there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Old-style interior is very nice.
The staff was very accommodating and answered all if our questions. There was thus weird noise in one room and after talking to the reception guy, he switched us rooms without even hesitating!
The bed sheets... The floors were very creaky.
Breakfast was poor
Good location, atmosphere of the rooms.
Breakfast was disappointing, after complaints somewhat improved.
Value for money, good location, near to the underground, spacious room
The sink in the toilet was blocked an took ages to empty
retro atmosphere Cotton club
Very bad experience of the stay in this hotel. The furniture and all staff is very old - the photos do not show real state. The bed incredibly uncomfortable, impossible to have a rest. The strong bad smell in the room. But the worse thing - no noise isolation ! You hear everything from the neighbour rooms and corridor ! The night of our stay in the room next to us there was a party of escort girl and we have heard everything.
Location. Bathrooms always clean.
First room offered huge windows without blinds,I can not sleep in these conditions. Second room offered after request, no windows at all...but did the job.Smoke alarm without battery for two days without replacement doing the usual BIP...Bathrooms always clean but without champon or soaps. The shower shaked a little bit not completly secure on ground and not all water outputs worked proprely. Carpets never hoover during the stay.
good location , classic design of the room and comfortable .
Fascinating interior, spacious nicely cleaned room, smiling and helpful staff, great location in the center of the Pest. 5 min work from unique dutch "Frituur" in Hungary:)
Surrounding streets crowded with homeless beggers, as well as any street in the city...
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was lovely, really pretty and very comfortable.
The wifi was a little dodgy, it worked in the breakfast room but not always in the bedrooms or lobby.
Original style of hotel and rooms.
Furniture of bathroom in my room need some repaire.
Very close to the city.
Too noisy during the night. Bad isolated Windows.
Well situated, gorgious decoration, very cosy, kind staff
