Score from 372 reviews Wonderful
The Hotel was quiet and the staff available and friendly. The room was large and clean. The bathroom had been updated and was spotless. The courtyard was central and has decent wifi.
The wifi in the room was spotty at best... which was much more important to me than having a large flat Screen tv in the room that had no news or programming in English. My experience at Hotel Elit was fine... but when I arrived and had to walk through the dark bar to register.., I was concerned I had Chosen badly. The typeface on the front of the Hotel has a lurid Quality that also set me up to expect the worst. It was not the worst at all, the room was really fine. If the wifi had worked I would have been happier. The proximity to the Train Station seemed important to me when I booked the Hotel... but I would choose a location more centrally located if booking again... it was a good 40 minute walk to the Danube, which is a bit far after dark.
The staff were friendly and helpful. They were there 24 hours to help. Great central location 3 minute walk from train and metro stations
Stairs!!! A lift would be nice but in old buildings I can only dream:)
the hotel is very well located, 5min walk from the train station. Beds were comfortable and the room looked clean.
The room is a bit small but enough if you don't have too much stuff with you.
No elevator !
The hotel was right next to the Budapest Central Train Station, and it was also right across the street from the first stop of the Budapest City Sightseeing Tour, for those who are interested.
The only minor problem was that there was a bar in between the entrance and the lobby, and that was sometimes inconvenient.
Reseanable price Easy to go with tram and bus Easy to find good Very close to the main train station
No smoking at the bed room..., should have a smoking room
Really close to the main station, the staff are incredibly friendly. Clean, cosy and spacious room. Excellent place to stay would recommend to friends.
No eye catching sign for the entrance.
Very helpful staff. Breakfast whilst simple was good value and served up well with plenty of choice
Big room with a nice bed. Big and clean bathroom Room looked recently renovated.
Old windows that are not soundproof. No refrigerator in the room We foud a lot of hairs on the bed sheets, that could have been spotted easily by the cleaning personnel.
Great location close to main train station and good value.
Everything was fine
Comfort and Location are excellent for the money, but what I really liked was in fact the service. Staff was very friendly and polite, they all speak english and they are eager to help with everything. I recommend them with all my heart.
Both the staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful, they helped me and my friend find the right train station and gave us good info about the city. The hotel Is in a great location in the center of Budapest there are a few good restaurants close and places to go out. it was an excellent choice for a fair price
Location is perfect and staffs are nice
Big room, clean
The room was very comfortable. The position of the hotel is good, near the metro station e bus stop. The staff is very nice. The hall of the hotel is a pub...amazing!! In addition, the hotel is cheap.
We didn't like very much the breakfast. And the rooms are not very clean.
Robert (front desk) was extremely helpful and very nice. He ensured everything including the room met every expectation we wanted. The location is idea and accessible for walking to the old city in Pest. We will definitely stay at the Elite hotel again.
Excellent position near to Keleti railway station to catch the first morning train.
Too many stairs, too few elevators (none). Wifi passwords left on the desk obsolete and did not work. Charged 10 times the amount for the room, could not reimburse directly back to my credit card, long procedure, my money still in limbo.
Comfort, room, location, value for money
The hotel is located at a very busy street and unfortunately the windows are not sound proof. It is really loud inside when you are there during the day.
The staff were very good and helpful. There was a manager who booked us in he was excellent.
Being able to walk out of the hotel and within 2 minutes be on the metro into the city centre or even further! Walking distance to a few nice little restaurants!
Its close location to the central station (5 minute walking), rooms are very comfortable, clean. Breakfast was good. Recomended to anyone who would like to visit Budapest. Lots of places to eat near the place.
1. It is not so close to the main Budapest attractions, although you can reach them by walk in about 20 mins or in 7 by metro. 2. I usually pay some part by cash and thhe other one by card. The hotel forced me to pay either all by cash or by card.
Robert the receptionist was extremely helpful. Great suggestions for restaurants and funny ( very personable).
Very good if you need to be near the Keleti Station. Rooms are clean and modern. Great for a couple of nights stay. If you want a romantic break or something more hotel like then i would probably say look for a bigger chain hotel. If all you want is a nice clean room for the night then its great. Free wifi is a bonus.
There was some road work going on untill midnight(!) on the side road so it was very noisy, stayed here 3 times in the past year and it only happened the this time
There was a good atmosphere and the breakfast was just fine.
Wi-fi was slow and sometimes didn't work.
Good value for money if you need accomodation next to the Keleti railway station.
The main street rooms are very very noisy. Ask quiet room that look the side street they are ok to have a good night sleep.
