Expo Congress Hotel  

This was my worst hotel stay ever. I got very serious food poisoning after eating the soup of the day, goulash. I was very sick all night and did not manage to get to the toilet on time and dirtied some sheets. I received a letter from Expo saying that they will bill me 60 Euro for the dirty sheets!!! I was extremely shocked. No regrets or excuses from the hotel. I wrote them a letter of explanation with no answer. I have travelled from 5 star hotels to the hostels, but never before have I been treased this way. Also the hotel is quite far from the airport, not really an airport hotel, by taxi + 30 minutes ,cost euro 21. The hotel minibus driver was not available ni on arrival ni at departure,. In the morning taxi took 30 minutes to arrive plus another 30 to the airport. Plus 30 minutes to the airport taxi for

The hotel is not on the main road, so it is quiet. The hotel has its own parking which is free. WiFi is free and available throughout the hotel.

Public transportation in the area is not so good. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, but the bus doesn't go very often. You should walk cca. 10 minutes to the nearest Metro station, which is not a problem during the day, but in the evening it could be, since the road is completly dark and deserted (the hotel is located at the fair center and hippodrome).

Good Chinese restaurant nearby. Tasty breakfast. Modern rooms.

Some rooms still have smell of cigarettes. Floor in bathroom is always wet.

Good value for money, excellent breakfest and it is a little bit far from first metro station but it was very nice experience to stay inn this hotel

Expo Congress Hotel is a nice and bautiful place to stay and relax. Rooms are excellent, breakfast also. I think this is the best hotel in Budapest, when you take price-quality ratio. It is exactly the way the rooms are shown in the pictures, if not even better.

If it can be called a fault, it is distance from city center. It's about 4 km. But you have metro station in a neighborhood.

Hotel Expo Congress is very good and nice hotel located exactly near Hungexpo - Exibitions "Hó Show" and Utazás. We visited your hotel from the first year after reconstruction - two times a year. We are very satisfied with location, services and staff in the hotel. We hope to visit your hotel next year again.

Exelent value for the money paid! Free parking, free internet ( with good conection ) and free breakfast, not a fabulos one but very decent for sure. Spacious rooms, good utilities, large shower space in the bath. Good english at the reception and restaurant, decent prices at minibar ( pay in huf ) and good huf-eur conversion at the reception. Good thermostat for heating in the room, we was able to set whatever we need it ( it was december )

The window has poor insulation, you will get very cold if you will stay next to it, but you can use the heavy courtain to protect from cold.

this hotel is very good. I like it. shower and bath is available. (usual other hotel is only shower) And car parking is free of charge. To center of city, TAXI fee is about 3,000 = 10. (arrange by hotel staff)

The hotel is well placed in Budapest, near to the sports Arena.

Poor services, the room was not clean, no soap or shower gel, although we requested the room to be cleaned, no housekeeper came to clean the room, unkind reception personnel.

Terrible breakfast and dirty whirpool/spa. It was off not filtering. That was the only reason why I booked this hotel.

The Bed was so hard so that I couldn"t sleep well. Bit regret even it is a 4 star Hotel.
