Felt safe, free wifi, free "stuff" ie shampoo, snacks, for the guests, small number of rooms, free wifi, lots of info available, kind, trustworthy staff, flexible staff, guests were respectful, spacious, clean bathrooms,
One more washer and dryer would have been helpful.
I know it an be negative if you are desperately in need of something, but I really liked that there wasn't someone there, hovering over us all the time.
I had no place to sit in my room. The beds were super comfortable, but I would have liked a place to sit.
It was a great hostel to stay at! The woman who owns it is super friendly and helpful and helped us book everything we needed to. She was extremely personable and so nice! The rooms were great and everything was very clean. There was a full kitchen to use if you wanted to and plenty of brochures with suggestions of what to do in the city. Location was an easy walking distance to the center. Everything about this hostel was amazing for us! It was quiet and spacious. My friends and I loved it! I would 100% recommend this hostel!!
Nothing...everything was great!
We stayed in this hostel from 1 to 5 May. We had a spacious room on the three-level people. So unusual and interesting! Everything is very clean, comfortable and cozy. The hostess is very welcoming and pleasant. Gave us a map and told where and what to do, provided a shuttle service from the airport. By the way, she can stay while visiting in the bath and massage, not to stand there queue. We felt like at home! Thank you for a wonderful holiday! Recommend to anyone!
Great and friendly staff, excelent location near the city center and the pubs.
Staying at Gaia Hostel was a bless :) It rather feels like a cosy apartment right in the middle of Budapest - met very nice people there and the staff was always there to help. Two thumbs up!!!
Kind staff and convenient location
The owner is super friendly and helpful. rooms are large.
Large rooms, very clean facilities and the staff were fantastic. A wonderful stay.
This is very good value for your money. Basic but proper accommodation for a budget trip. Responsive staff, good location.
Absolutely great location for city tour, shopping and fun! Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and cozy rooms.
Perfect location, 1 minute walk to metro station and trams, with shops and bakeries around the corner.
Shared bathroom is not clean all the time.
The quaint kitchen and big rooms...the bathroom is really clean and great to have two toilets for 4 rooms to share. I like it that in the kitchen people can leave behind food on the free shelf for others to help themselves. The location is excellent close to astoria subway and ference tere station and within walking distance to the river and all the sights.
There is no sign at the front of door to indicate the hostel name and number of the hostel...i.e. no. 17 is not obvious. Perhaps a big sign should be posted to make it visible to people..for e.g. i arrived there late in the evening and had to ask a few people before locating it. Also it is best that while you have no obvious sign yet, let people know that it is the white door next to the club. Instructions have to be more specific to help people locate the place. If you arrive late you really have to give specific instructions when you will get there. I found it odd and difficult that there is no bell that we could ring to get up there..if not for the fact that i bumped into two people getting in, i would be stuck outside waiting especially as i have no european phone with me.
Although our first impression was not good due to the check-in process, the stay in the hostel was quite comfort and nice.
We informed that we would arrive around 3-4PM. However, nobody was there and we had to wait 2 hours to be checked in.
Staff, location and room were fantastic!
Roudy kids from Germany vomiting and yelling all night long. No sleep for me!
Warm welcome by the staff. Good location
The unfriendly old grandma always ask you to lock the door and easy to get angry towards people! This is the worst memory about this city-cold and impolite host
Really kind and very helpfull staff!! Room and shared bathrooms were clean. The beds were good. Located in the middle of the center close to the subway. Everything that we needed was available. If we go back to Budapest we definitely go back here.
There are a very friendly stuff. Good rooms plenty of showers
Clean, nice room, very friendly staff, perfect place in the centre (near by Ferenciek Tere and Astoria subway station). 100% recommendation =)
The staff was very friendly and helped us to get around budapest. The hostel was very nice with all the important things closeby. We loved it!
The friendly hostess. The place had a hippie feel. It felt disorganised, but homely.
I could hear the other guests through the door to the room. I didn't automatically get a clean towel, but had to ask for it. There is a disco in the basement of the building, but it was luckily closed the days I stayed there.
